A SERIES of drop-in vaccination centres will open in Glasgow and surrounding areas this week to help tackle the city’s Covid cases. A clinic is being held today at the city’s SSE Hydro from 9am-6pm for patients to be seen on a first come, first serve basis. The health board said vaccines would be available to those aged 40 and over who have not yet had their first dose, or for those who have waited more than 10 weeks for their second dose of AstraZeneca. Yesterday queues formed outside a mobile vaccination centre set up in the car park of the New Victoria Hospital in Glasgow’s south side, where the Indian variant of the virus has caused a spike in cases.
