He noted one case at a Cranbourne vaccination hub where a person opposed to the vaccination program barged in on Thursday morning and made “completely inappropriate, threatening remarks” to nursing staff.
Mr Foley said Victoria police had to get involved with the incident, and “anti-science, anti-evidence dangerous fanatics” would be held to account.
“You aren’t allowed to come in and abuse our nurses and health professionals,” Mr Foley said.
“Violence, physical and verbal threats against our healthcare workers and call centre staff is not OK and will not be tolerated,” Mr Foley said. “No matter what whacky theory you might think is real, you are not entitled to abuse our healthcare staff.”
