At 1%, Industrial activity as measured by IIP expanded at a slower pace than the previous month Consumer inflation eases to 16-month low of 4.06% in January; December IIP expands 1%  |  Photo Credit: PTI New Delhi: India’s retail inflation, as measured by Consumer Price Index (CPI), in January 2021, eased to a 16-month low of 4.06% as compared to 4.59% in December 2020 and 7.6% in the corresponding month last year, according to data released by the Ministry of Statistics and Program Implementation (MoSPI) on Friday. The industrial activity as captured by the Index of Industrial Production (IIP) in December 2020 grew 1% as compared to an expansion of 1.9% in November 2020.
