Clarksville Now Update: Crews called off the search at about 10:30 p.m. and planned to resume in the morning. Previously: CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Rescue crews were searching for a vehicle that reportedly crashed into the Cumberland River on Tuesday night. At 9:30 p.m., Clarksville Police, Clarksville Fire Rescue, Montgomery County Rescue Squad, and Montgomery County EMS were on the scene where witnesses reported seeing a vehicle leave the roadway and enter the Cumberland River near Riverside Drive and West Washington Street, just north of the RJ Corman Bridge. There is an active search of the river in that area. No further information was available.
