Senator Jeff Sessions. [applause] you love Jeff Sessions and he is doing a good job. [applause] he is doing a good job. We have him very busy watching the borders. Lot of things are happening luther is taking over for jeff hopefully and you will be so impressed with what we are going to do in washington. To sende begin i want our thoughts and prayers to the people of texas and louisiana and florida and georgia and puerto rico and the Virgin Islands and all the other communities that have recently been ravaged by storms and floods. I called the other day and spoke to your governor. I said how are you doing . She said, we have 17 Million People that entered alabama for shelter. And you took such great care of those people. You really did. [applause] said, you know governor, you are the fastestgrowing state anywhere in the world this week. You did a great job. Your governor is doing a great job too, by the way. When one part of america hurts, we all hurt. We grieve over all that has been lost but we are also inspired by the incredible strength and spirit and resilience of our people. Together we will recover, rebuild, and return bigger, better, stronger than ever before. It will happen and it will happen quickly. [applause] better. [applause] we also send our prayers to the people of mexico. They got hit hard by a devastating earthquake. [applause] taking a lot of lives, more than they thought. I have spoken with the president of mexico and we pledged our total support. We have crews in their lifting up that heavy concrete and it is a rough sight. [applause] people we sentf down with Big Equipment but that is a tough go. It is tough to see and to see the sadness but that was bad. I have just come from a very productive week at the United Nations general assembly. [applause] [chanting u. S. A. ] pres. Trump we have been working with our friends and allies to pursue a future of prosperity and peace and we have good people i know and have tremendous relationships and we have some really, really bad people and we will take care of the bad people, it is about time. We will take care of the bad people. [applause] it is one of the greatest honors of my life to represent the American People on that world stage. The world isou, starting to respect the United States of america again. [applause] as i said during mya just to the United Nations as i said during my adjust to the United States ands to the United Nations, i am here for you. We are not here for the rest of the globe. We want to treat the rest of the globe right. When i say, America First, i never liked it from the no one really understood, for years they have said, America First, though i am the one that really means it. There is a big difference. [applause] look, it will be America First. We will renegotiate these trade deals, bringing people back, bringing companies back. You see it in alabama. You see it in alabama. [applause] i am not going to worry so much about other countries. I want to treat them with respect, treat them good and i want their people to fight for them just like i am going to fight. Trump i believe the best path to a more Peaceful World are proud, independent sovereign nations that respect their own people. There are so many who dont respect to their people but we want nations that cooperate together to create better for all people. That is what we are all about. All people. We cannot have madmen out there shooting rockets all over the place. [applause] by the way, rocket man should have been handled a long time ago. [applause] he should have been handled a long time ago by clinton. I wont mention the republicans. By obama. , this is aifferent different time. This should have been handled eight years ago and four years agoand honestly 15 years and 20 years ago and 25 years ago. Handled now. Ot be but i am going to handle it because we have to handle it. [applause] little rocket man, we are going to do it. Because we really have no choice. We really have no choice. Now he is talking about a massive weapon exploding over the ocean. The pacific ocean. ,hich causes tremendous tremendous calamity, where that plume goes, so those cancer, so those tremendous problems. I want to tell you something and i am sure he is listening because he watches every word and i guarantee you one thing, he is watching us like he never watched anybody before, that i can tell you. That i can tell you. [applause] oute something gets worked and maybe it doesnt. Personally im not sure that it will. Other people like to say, we want peace. Theyve been saying that for 25 years, we want these, we want these. Then he goes and keeps going, going, going. Maybe something gets worked out and maybe it does not. I can tell you one thing, you are protected. Ok. You are protected. [applause] no one is going to mess with our people. No one is going to play games. Nobody is going to put our people in that kind of danger. Nobody. [applause] japan and south korea are right up there with us. By the way, many other countries, many many other countries. They are right up there with us. I have to tell you, i made a friend in china, president xi jinping and yesterday he took the Banking Industry basically away from north korea. Never been done before. [applause] never been done. That is based on relationship. Relationship is very good. We are dealing with somebody we will figure out. He may be smart, strategic, and he may be totally crazy. No matter what he is, we will handle it, folks, believe me. We will handle it. [applause] the foundation for progress begins at home with a government that protects and defends our citizens. That is what we have to do. That is why i am here tonight to ask the good people of alabama to send Luther Strange to the United States senate so he can defend your interest, fight for your values and always put America First. Go out and get out the vote. [applause] i will tell you, i will tell you this quick, crazy story. Why do i like luther . I have a lot of friends. Some of them call and say, do you mind if i go for the other candidate . They may not have a job on monday but [applause] richard . No, they are good people. I will tell you what happened. The first go around on health care. I said, you know, for seven years we have been hearing, repeal and replace obamacare. For seven years i have been hearing repeal and replace. They like to say, mr. Trump, President Trump sat in the oval office and didnt i am on the phone screaming to people all day long for weeks. They gave me a list of 10 people that were absolute nos. 10 republican senators. Booing] john mccain was not on the list so that was a totally unexpected thing. That was terrible. Honestly terrible. Repeal and replace because john mccain, you look at his campaign. His last campaign was all about repeal and replace, repeal and replace. So he decided to do Something Different and that is fine. Have we will do it eventually. With a luther, we will do it. I have to tell you this story because we are here tonight for Luther Strange. I am here for luther and i am actually here for friday night, i really do love the people of alabama because you have treated me so good. [applause] said, i dont want to speak negatively, i said if i lose this election, a b i will end up moving to alabama or maybe i will end up moving to alabama or kentucky or some state where people love you and you love them. It is special. Here is what happened, here is what happened. But we never want to lose, despite that. We have a great agenda and by the way we are doing a lot of work, were doing a lot of things. Supreme court justice, neil gorsuch, will say, how about a thing called your Second Amendment . Remember that . [applause] crooked hillary got elected you would not have a Second Amendment, believe me. You would be handing in your rifles. [booing] you would be turning over your rifles. [chanting] you have to speak to Jeff Sessions about that. [applause] so, here is what happened with luther. List, 10 names of people that are absolute total they were good people, a lot of them. In all fairness, rand paul was on that list, dont even waste your time calling him. He voted twice, he was very good. I havent given up on him because i think he may come around. Wouldnt it be ironic if he took a john mccains place . And they definitely do not like each other. Wouldnt that be ironic . That would be very ironic for you who know the inner workings of the senate. So with luther. I have a list in one of the names is Luther Strange. Senator fromthe alabama but i dont know him. I met him once. I said, that is the tallest human being i have ever seen. I am tall. I never saw he should be on the new york knicks. They could use them. That is why i call him, big loser. Everyone is calling him big big luther. I call him big luther. They come over as a family, i call all night , i think i senator get there but you have to do me a favor, you have to see my brother and his wife and they love you and want to have dinner with you and breakfast with you and when you finish with them how we go out for a picnic on the white house lawn and then maybe we will start talking. It was brutal. You have no idea. Now i call Luther Strange. And i say, senator, i need your help. I need to get your vote on health care. He said, you got it. [applause] i said, what do you mean i have it . He said, i have always been for you, my family has always been , do i have to have dinner with you and your wife . No sir, i have supported you from the beginning and you shouldnt even waste anymore. Ime talking to me i went home and told my wife, that is the coolest thing that has happened to me in six months. Then time goes by and he voted and of course, john mccain came and went thumbs down at. 00 in the morning i know so much folks, i can tell you. It was sad. We had a couple of other senators, at least we knew, that was a horrible horrible thing that happened to the republican party. That was a horrible thing. Luther isby and i see in a race. Friendlye saying he is whether you like Mitch Mcconnell i told mitch, luther is a tough cookie. Cowtownt deal with and to anybody. He is down in the race by a lot. That is unfair. Because he happened to be in the senate they were giving him a bu m wrap. I remember the call. The other people i called, they were fine. You dont even remember, you remember one sentence. Waste your time talking. You have a lot of business to do. This was a definite no. I remember that. I called him and checked and he was down, because of being saddled with stuff. He was down by quite a bit. Said im going to endorse you you would do that . Want to do is i be involved in a primary. I could be sitting home right now getting to watch some of the games tomorrow. , itously, the last thing was really cool. Happened, how are you doing . He said, honestly i am down a little bit. I said, i think youre going to come back and kick everyones ass and you are going to do great. Got saddled with things that he should not have gotten saddled with. He started off here, he was in third or fourth. Second. To third, now it is almost pretty even. And ied him up a week ago said, you know, i think youre down by a few points but i will come to alabama and i will make a speech for you on friday. [applause] true story. As soon as we announce. You know the media, the fake news, i call it. The worst. They wont show this. Trumpill say, donald spoke before a small crowd in alabama last night. It was a small crowd. Very unenthusiastic crowd. It was a terrible evening. These are among the most dishonest people. These are among the most dishonest. [applause] instance, look at the crowd, i would love to have them show the crowd, they show me. The whole night, i go home, i say, melania. By the way, she has become very popular. [applause] she has become very popular. Mean, she respects the white house. We love the white house. Said about me, that i called the white house a dump. Retract it and i hated it. I love the white house. , she leaves the plane and she is dressed appropriately for the white house because we respect the white house. She is wearing high heels as many of you would do. They went after her. She didnt know. They know it was dishonest but they said she wore high heels. She is going to go into the floods with high heels. She has become very popular. Luther did that for me. I remembered luther. We have to be loyal in life. There is something called loyalty. I might have made a mistake. I might have made a mistake. There is the story. If luther doesnt win, they are not going to say we picked up 25 points in a short space of time. Theyre going to say, donald trump, the president of the United States was unable to pull his candidate across the line. It is a terrible, terrible moment for trump. This is total embarrassment. These are bad people. By the way, both good men. I told luther, i have to say this, if his opponent wins, i will be campaigning here like hell for him. I have to say this. You understand this, look at the polls, luther will definitely win. You know
