Ernie Sanders
has intelligence, too, but im a little reluctant because i had parents who grew up in the mccarthy area and they were accused of being socialism not a good thing especially in this country. You dont want to be voting for socialism 10, 20 years down the road. And people saying you voted for a socialist. And you are considered unamerican and that was like it in the 1950s. because populationwise there arent enough votes. It has turned into a racket. Honestly dont feel like my vote counts. Host before tonight results, heres the delegate counts. This is
South Carolina
on saturday,
Bernie Sander
at 60 and biden. Caller and people who are suffering and dont have enough things. And i also like that and i do like sanders policies. I dont like the way he tries to explain them. Is guy i hear people from florida. He is a joke. This man is a joke. I also served in the army. Im a veteran from the army. Believe me there is
Nothing Better
than we have. The only chance we have to save this country is biden. He needs fire in the belly and i hope he will speak to that tonight. You dont need to be aggressive in the way trump is to prove are smart and can prove to be a leader. I was in the army and this guy is a joke. Oday, we haved 24 people dying in tennessee and he didnt speak in front of the cameras. My prayers are for those people in tennessee. Elizabeth warn. Cheers and applause] senator warner this change is fabulous. My name is elizabeth warn and im the woman who is going to beat donald trump. [cheers and applause] senator im going to take back the senate and put
Mitch Mcconnell
out of a job [cheers and applause] senator here we are, michigan, you have one week until you start voting. As you know right now, voting is going on in california and massachusetts, pretty much all over this country. I know results will keep coming in through the night. What i see happening is a lot of folks trying to turn voting into sole complicated strategy. Pundits, friends, neighbors, are all saying you have to secondguess yourself. And playing games. Guess what your neighbors are up to here. But predictions has been a terrible business. And the pundits have gotten it wrong over and over. Cheers and applause] senator warren cast a vote that will make you proud. Cast a vote from your heart. And vote for the person that you think will make the best president of the
United States
. Cheers and applause] question ting warren] senator warren because i want you to think for a minute about this democracy. You, you are the ones who will pick the next president and it is an awesome thing and will do it next week. People are doing it in california right now and thats what it means to have a democracy. Im in this race because i lieve i will make the best president of the
United States
. Cheers and applause] senator warren i want to tell you why, i was not born a politician, but i was born a fighter. I want you to know this, i have to have a loud voice here. I come by this honest. I think that maybe the reason i fought all my life is because i wanted this for my mother. I want to tell you a story. I grew up in oklahoma. We got a few here. Im the baby. I have three much older brothers and went off and joined the military. Im what used to be called a ight wives baby and my mother called me the surprise. Y three brothers are retired and they are referred to as the boys to distinguish them from the surprise. [laughter] senator warren when i was in middle school, it was my mom, daddy and me. And my daddy had a heart attack. He pulled through. But he couldnt work for a long, long time. And i still remember the day when we lost the family station wagon. I remember how my mother used to tuck me in at night and kiss me and give me a big smile and i knew what was coming next, she closed the door and start to cry and never wanted to cry in front of me. I knew that. I learned words like mortgage and forecast. And one day i walked into my folks bedroom and laid out on the bed was the dress. Now some of you in this room will know this dress. It is the only one that comes out for weddings, funerals and graduations and there was my mother and had on her slip and in her stocking feet and pacing back and forth and she was saying, we will not lose this house. We will not lose this house. We will not lose this house. She was 50 years old. She had never worked outside the home. And she was terrified. Sees me sobbing and standing in the doorway and just a kid and looks at me and looks at that dress and looks back at me and walks over and pulls that dress on and puts on her high heels and walks to the sears where she gets a fulltime minimum wage job and saved our house and saved our family and the first lesson that my mother taught me and that is no matter how scared you are and no matter how hard it looks, you get out there and fight for the people you love. [cheers and applause] it would cover a mortgage and pay the utilities and put food the table. A minimum wage job in america will not keep a mom and a baby out of poverty and that is wrong and that is why i am in this fight cheers and applause] senator warren i will tell you
Something Else
about that, that change did not happen by accident and not the result of graft. That change happened because of who
Government Works
for. When i was a kid, the question asked in washington for setting the minimum wage is what does it take of a family of three to make it in americas middle class . What does it make to have something to build on . What does it take for a family to get a toehold and build something
Going Forward
. Today the question asked for setting the minimum wage is what will maximize the giant corporations. I want one that works for us families . Nd i got a plan for that in fact, i got a lot of plans for that. [cheers and applause] senator warren i want to tell you a little story. A little story about what it means to get in a fight. So, in the late 1990s and early 2000s, i was watching what was happening and i studied families going to go broke. And i saw people getting cheated on mortgages, that they had their own homes already and they needed to refinance their homes. And the banks were making more and more money. They started out by targeting communities of color, africanamerican homeowners and went after seniors and i started ringing alarm bells. We got a real problem over here. And heres what i discovered. Nobody what they wanted to hear. When your ears are stuffed with money, its hard to hear. The banks kept on selling those mortgages and the regulateors just looked the other way. The regulators were so deep, they couldnt even here what was going on and sure enough, the economy crashed in the 2008. E just loaded on that much debt. He banks got bailed out. Millions of families got left behind in detroit. Millions of people lost their jobs. Millions of people saw their
Pension Funds
shrunk. This pain was felt by families all across this country. I decided, we are going to make it through this crisis and there is going to be financial reform and going to vr protection to make sure that we never wreck this economy with a bunch of banks cheating people. [cheers and applause] senator warren i had this idea. Man, that sounds sexy. I had this idea and the basic idea is the same as the idea behind the safety we have
Consumer Products
safety commission. You cant sell a toaster in america that has a 15 chance burning down your house or shouldnt sell a mortgage that that has a 15 chance of could costing a family their home. So, thats the basic idea. Agency, ted an agent the banks will rework these things and will figure it out, but i wanted an agency to make sure they dont get cheated, mortgages, credit cards, payday loans,
Student Loans
and dont get cheated on financial products. So thats the basic idea. I go to washington. Im not in elected office. m a fulltime teacher and researcher. Lets here it important the in other words. [cheers and applause] senator warren i go to washington and basically knock on doors. Democrat, republican, i dont care, im trying to pitch the idea. We are in a crisis and rewrite the laws and lets get this agency in it. Heres what happened. Basically, i started getting the same two answers from everybody. Nd first answer was, huh [laughter] laugh senator warren you could make a real difference. You could make a real difference. And the second half of the answer was, dont even try. You will be up against the banks and wall street and all of the republicans. And up against half of the democrats. You will never get it done. [laughter] cheers and applause] senator warren yeah. [laughter] cheers and applause] senator warren so i heard this and thought, i thought, i get it , big structural change is hard. But it is the right thing to do. [cheers and applause] senator warren we got in this fight and took on the big banks and they were spending a 1 million a day for nearly a year to fight this and the other financial reforms. We fought them all, but we built the coalitions and in 2010, barack obama signed that agency into law. Cheers and applause] senator warren and heres the thing. Heres the thing. That little agency, has now forced the banks to return more than 12 billion directly to people they competed. [cheers and applause] senator warren so, i take away two lessons from that. The first is you dont get what you dont fight for. I am in this fight cheers and applause] senator warren and the second and this is really important, after 40 years of
Ronald Reagans
trickledown economics oh, i see you have heard it. It has been a monumental failure for
American Families
. [cheers and applause] senator warren the second lesson that i learned about this agency as we built this agency is we can make government work for the people and thats what this agency has done. And being with you has been is about the fight and also about the hope and what we will be able to do together. Thats why i am here. Lets do this [cheers and applause] senator warren lets do some questions. Whos got questions. Over here . We drew these early. Everybody is pointing. Here we go. Hi . Im a middle school teacher. Senator warren hay, andrew. Lovely

I am in this fight cheers and applause] senator warren and the second and this is really important, after 40 years of
Ronald Reagans trickledown economics oh, i see you have heard it. It has been a monumental failure for
American Families . Lovely
Public School in the city of the detroit, i have a million questions, schools are underfunded but people dont talk about equitable funding. Could you talk to us how you will make it more equitable . Senator warren yes. Yes. Yes. Thank you for the question, andrew. Heres the deal. I got to tell you all. I have known what i have wanted to be since second grade. Some of you in the back didnt know it was fourth or fifth grade. I have wanted to be a
Public School teacher. Can we hear it for our
Public School teachers. [cheers and applause] senator warren im go to go need you to back me up. It is not a job, but its a calling. I had 46yearolds in special education and i loved this work. I probably would still be doing this work today but at the end of my first year in teaching i was visably pregnant ap the principal hired someone else for the job. And thats how i ended up going to law school and right back into teaching. Heres the thing. I truly believe if we are go to go build a future in america, roads and bridges are important. I get it. We need to produce a an infrastructure. But weve got to invest in the education of all of our children. Cheers and applause] senator warren it starts, its time for a wealth tax in america. [cheers and applause] senator warren yes. You already know. I want to make sure everybody is on the same page. 50 is a twocent tax on million. Your first 50 million free and clear. Reenable. Is not un two cents on every dollar. You have to pitch in a couple of pennies and everybody tracking on this, anybody who own a home . You guys have been paying a wealth tax and called a property tax and all im taxing and all for the billionaires and not only include the stock portfolio, the realm brant and the yacht . Thats the basic idea. Now you may have heard there are some billionaires who dont like his. Some came on tv and cried. And it was so sad. President. For [laughter] senator warren thought it would be cheaper than a wealth tax. I worked hard. I stayed up late and all of the time i had a great idea. You shouldnt punish me. You made a big fortune for you in america, good for you. Good for you. But heres the deal. I guarantee if you build a fortune in america you used workers who helped pay to educate. You built it at least in part getting your products on roads and bridges. You built at least in part protected by police and firefighters to pay the salaries. And were americans. We want to make these investments and opportunities. All were saying, when you make big, i mean really big, top 1 , has a 0 of chance to make it. Because now we get to your question. What can we do with two cents. I want to spapped how we think of
Public Education with two cents. We can provide universal child re and universal childhood education, universal prek for s and yearolds and four stop exploiting the people largely africanamerican women o do this work and raise the wages of every preschool teacher in america. And that starts the answer because that is equal funding. Go straight to our communities and come straight to detroit. But there is more. We can make an historic investment in
Public Education. Not two cents. Well do that for our babies plus. 00 billion investment in all of our
Public Schools. Lets lift it up. And when you asked me about equalizing, that plan quadruples the title i schools. Thats how we level this out. And one more, youll hear this from the heart of a special education teacher. For the first time in history, e will fully yead so every child with a disability will get the education that child deserves. [cheers and applause] senator warren investing in our children is not just a local obligation, not just a state obligation, but the obligation of a nature that wants to build a future. [cheers and applause] turns out,ren so it at top 10 tf of 1 , we can also dor posthigh school education, two year college, four year college, tuition free. We can put 50 billion into our history canically plaque colleges and universities. And just one more thing, we can ancel
Student Loan Debt for million. Ok. Tchaup good. I love that question. Ok, whos next . Hi. Hi. Im yvonne. Senator warren pleasure to meet you. Thank you for your campaign which has been amazing as a woman to see your spirit. [cheers and applause] it. D the way you handle its pretty badass. My question is with trump per seeves our relationship around the world has really suffered and what will you do to go about restoring this relationship . Senator warren i like the way you frame it. It is the job of the president of the
United States to keep america safe. And part of that is we need a strong military, as i said all three of my brothers served and important to serve our military. We have the finest military in the world. [applause] senator warren they have committed to make any sacrifice for us. But that means we have a sacred obligation to them not to send ur military not to send them that not be solved militarily. That is number one. So that means we need to look at tools in the tool box. Donald trump has stripped down the state department. And this is just dumb. [laughter] senator warren no other way to describe it. These are the people that are our eyes and ears around the world and represent america. They know the culture and history and politics. And whether there is trouble and what we need to focus on. And we have just decimated what is going on in the state department. One of the first things, i will bring up the state department up to full staff. We have to support our state department. [applause] senator warren our economic tool. We need a
Strong Economy and just doesnt work for five giant banks but an economy that puts us in a much stronger position to work around the world with the rest of the nations. The importance of allies. You know, i know this is going to be tough but we ought to know the difference between our friends and the people that do us harm and ought to treat our friends than the people who do us harm. We dont need to cozy up to dictators and dont want to cut and run on our allies and abandon them. [cheers and applause] senator warren much of that, working our allies is going to go a long way. When you think of what we are trying to accomplish internationally, we have to remember that will leadership happens by example. And what donald trump has been doing down at our borders has not only been shameful to us as a people, it has put us in a terrible position around the world. The world looks at what happens at our border and the yupes has lost moral authority and leadership. Understand this, i will not fake take away children from their families. Cheers and applause] senator warren i will not lock p children in cages [cheers and applause] senator warren i will close orprofit
Detention Centers [cheers and applause] senator warren and i will work every single day to make sure that this country is living its values. I will do my best as president to make you proud of the
United States of america in all of our deals. Cheers and applause] senator warren good. Good. Thank you. [cheers and applause] warren. Ting senator warren we have one more question over here. That was so weird. I think we have time for two more questions. And going to pull them. This is willa. And we are going to do the same thing. Read the number and yill persist and make it over here. Right over here. 9927239 fabulous. Did you find it. Beans from move the your card. What is it . 243 . We got it . All right. Thank you. And thank you, willa. Senator warren some more questions. Hi. Hi. Michigan, good to have you here. I have a question for the state of michigan. We are surrounded by water and a natural water resource for america. Nestle is shipping us out of our
Natural Resource and we were all about agriculture. What are you going to help to do to preserve our
Natural Resource and get back clean water back as natural human rights . Cheers and applause] senator warren water is white. And we need to protect our water. Heres the thing to understand. Because heres how i understand that question. When i hear that question, is look what happens when
Government Works for giant corporations instead of working for the rest of us, because this isnt about a problem with the water that occurred naturally, right . This is about a giant corporation that said i can boost profits by sucking it up poor and that is making decisions for the people. Why does the government let them do that . [indiscernible chatter] senator warren money talks. Not just greed. It is greed, on yeah. But it is corruption. The greed may not change. The question is our government is the part that is supposed to be on our side. Think about how this works over and over and over. We have a government that works great for giant
Drug Companies, just not for people who are trying to get a trippings filled. It works great for people who want to make money by investing but not lives ce torn apart. We have a government that works great for giant
Oil Companies hat want to drill everywhere but not just
Climate Change bearing down upon us. And whether it is on
Water Resources or pollution, or whether it is on permitting these factories to be located over and over and over in communities of color, where they destroy the water or air, whatever it is, understand this. When a
Government Works great with money and not working great for anyone else, that is corruption, pure and simple. [cheers and applause] senator warren and what ever issue brought you here tonight, whether it is the water, whether its gun violence, whether its health care, whether its
Student Loans or immigration, if there is a decision to be made in washington, i guarantee it and en flunesed by money exceptions carved out by money. Just a little change, ier by year by year, until this whole country this whole democracy works for a handful at the top and leaves everyone else behind me. For me, we have to make a
First Priority not just backing up on the money issues that we captain do anything or nibbling around he issues, it is time for an anticorruption bill in washington and we have to fight back [cheers and applause] senator warren heres the good news, i have the biggest
Anti Corruption plan since watergate. Heres the bad news, we need the biggest anticorruption plan since watergate. They need to regulate on our side. And warren how about lobbying as we know it . End lobbying as we know it . Block the revolving door between wall street and washington . [cheers and applause] betweene revolving door the big polluters and the epa . [cheers and applause] we gotta do this. Block the revolving door between the
Big Drug Companies and the fda [cheers and applause] sen. Warren i could do these on that long. I will mention one more. If you really want to hose out corruption in washington, nick everyone who runs for
Public Office put their tax returns online. [cheers and applause] so this is that. This is a democracy. We have this chance in 2020 two beat back the corruption. That means put our government on our side. That is how we are going to fix this problem. Thank you. Good. [cheers and applause] i love you guys. We are going to do this [cheers and applause] we have time for one last question. Sen. Warren ok. High. Hi. I do not know if you noticed on your drive here but we have some bad roads here in michigan. [laughter] do you have a plan to invest in our infrastructure. Our roads . Sen. Warren yes. Of course i have a plan for this. [cheers and applause] but, you know, instead of doing a lot of detail on this, you can look, go to zabethwarren. Com and you can look at the pieces. The heart of this is two parts. We have to ask those at the top to pay a little more. Wealth i use the 2 cents tax but it is more. Giants like amazon and eli lilly and halliburton reported billions of dollars in profits last year and paid zero in taxes. That is not right. [booing] we have to ask those at the top to pay more. That is how we have enough money for infrastructure. The second part is what we were talking about. We have to be willing to pick up our regulatory tools and use them. On behalf of the people. Trickledown economics, we talked about a minute ago, inc. About it this way. , what has beenrd the principal, how does it work . It has helped the rich and powerful get more rich and more powerful. How do you do that . You cut taxes for those at the top. That is how they get richer. And you cut regulations. That is how to get more powerful. It is time for us in america to say trickledown economics has been a failure. Youre going to build this economy from the grassroots up your it and we are going to save our democracy. [cheers and applause] for me that is what this is about. So thank you. Sen. Warren let me wrap up by saying a serious note here. Because this is serious. We have now had three years of donald trump. I know. Booing. S more than there are a lot of people across this country who are afraid. They are afraid for their families. They are afraid for their neighbors. They are afraid for the children. Locked up in cages at the border. They are afraid for children on lockdown in our
Public Schools. They are afraid. They are afraid for women. They are afraid for people of color. They are afraid for lgbtq people. They are afraid for immigrants, all of whose rights are going to be up for grabs in this
United States supreme court. They are afraid for our nation. Ourthey are afraid for survival of our planet. And heres the thing. The danger is real. Our democracy, our very future hangs in the balance. And so, this is the decision each and everyone of you is going to have to make. And there is just much danger. Do you decide to kind of get a little timid and backup, crouched down . Or do you decide to fight back . May, i am in this because i am fighting back [cheers and applause] back arren i am fighting [cheers and applause] sen. Warren i am fighting back [cheers and applause] you bet i am fighting back is an act of patriotism [cheers and applause] think of it this way. Thing of it this way. We fought back against a king. To form this country, we fought back against the scourge of slavery. To save this union. We fought back against a
Great Depression to rebuild our economy. And we fought back against the rise of fascism to protect our democracy. Americans are at our best when we see big problems, we call them out. And we fight back [cheers and applause] and that is why i am in this fight [cheers and applause] look, you probably figured out by now that i am not running a campaign that has been shaped by a bunch of consultants. [laughter] i also do not have a bunch of proposals that have been carefully designed not to offend big donors. I passed that stop sign a long, long time ago. Campaignting this based on a lifetime of fighting for working families. I am fighting this campaign from the heart. Because i believe in you. Americalieve in the that we can build together. America where every sigel person has value. An america where every single child is worth investing in. An america, where in our notcracy, it is people, money, that is the most important part. [cheers and applause] i believe in that america. And i can see that america. And if you think that america is thatble, and you think america is worth fighting for, that i am asking you, get in this fight. Get in this fight. [cheers and applause] me. For [cheers and applause] but more. But more, go to elizabethwarren. Com, volunteer in our to spend on the phones, do some doorknocking, talk to your neighbor. But get in this fight. Because understand this. This is the moment in history that we have been called to. Comehis moment will not our way again. This is our moment. To choose hope over fear. This is our moment. To choose courage over cynicism. This is our moment. To dream big, fight hard, and win. [cheers and applause] [aretha franklins respect] [cheers and applause] all right, detroit you heard the senator. It is time to put courage over cynicism. It is time to put hope over fear. And guess what else it is time for . It is time to get to work you all know what today is. Today super tuesday. We are going to leave that
Elizabeth Warren event in detroit michigan. The senator working had tuna two thentest senator looking ahead to next tuesdays contest. Of the results are starting to come in. Let me give you an overview of what has been happening so far. It has been eight essentially a twoperson contest between joe biden and

North Carolina, that he has contested and. Update and then take more of your calls. Thank you for being with us on super tuesday, 2020. Based on the poll numbers, alabama another win for joe biden. The coalition in the south is clearly holding for the former
Vice President. Lets look at the numbers where we have the ap figures beginning in

Bernie Sanders at 23. 6 ,
Michael Bloomberg who did cross the threshold with 2 reporting at 16 . Senator
Elizabeth Warren at 10. 5 . There is a governor primary race in
North Carolina. Roy cooper is seeking a second term easily ahead over his democratic challenger ernest reed. Theres a
Democratic Senate primary macau cunningham competing against tom telus the republican senator in
North Carolina, a key state for democrats and republicans to determine control of the u. S. Senate beyond 2020. In other primary states, we should point out the is ap numbers. Virginia which was called after 7 00 eastern. With 81 of the vote in, joe biden easily the winner with 54 . Senator
Bernie Sanders at 23 . Elizabeth warren and
Michael Bloomberg. In vermont, the home state of senator
Bernie Sanders, 52 . Thats with 22 reporting. Joe biden with 7400 votes, 22 . Senator warren at 11. 9 . Michael bloomberg just under 10 . Said earlier these numbers and the candidate event are on the website at cspan. Org. Results are also coming in from massachusetts. The home state for a
Elizabeth Warren and the neighboring state to
Bernie Sanders. Tweet, massachusetts is too early to call between biden and sanders. Early numbers have
Elizabeth Warren at 16 . The threshold is 15 . In the early reporting
Bernie Sanders has a 26 to joe biden 39 . Calls as we are watching results come in and waiting for the next event. Our next event coming up will be
Michael Bloomberg. We will bring you that live as he gets underway this evening, to address supporters. He is in
West Palm Beach, florida. As we wait for that to get underway lets listen to your comments. Thank younnsylvania, for holding on the line, democrat. Who is your candidate . Lori, are you there . Lets move onto to janet in arlington, texas on the other line. Yes hello. Thank you for taking my call. I have a few points i would like to make. The worst hecklers in arlington, texas and oklahoma were my original family us. Hacked all my life through computers, my
Social Security and that is my whole family. How does this play into the president ial race . And my cell phone number. And dont even have the nerve to come to this house on the occasion and still my tax forms. Sorry im going to move on because it is taking us offtopic with the president ial race. Thendianapolis, you are on air on this super tuesday. Hello. Thank you for taking my call. I called on the democratic line because i could get through it im an independent. I will declare that i was for pete. I am biased. [laughter] in, since indiana primary is point, we know we are not that relevant. About whyve to talk as an independent, im taking that view. Ok. Thank you. I was on hold for a long time listening to senator warren. That cooled my initial response to the first caller who identified as a trump supporter or other. I have to give her a lot of credit for my internal conference with my better angels. Regimen it is my bewilderment house many of my neighbors and fellow americans could be so ramped up for revenge when i do not understand what happened. It seems to be like so many people are excited about burning down their own house so that their more liberal neighbor can smoke choke on the smoke for 15 minutes, that is the metaphor i use. If anybody else is calling in tonight on the republican other line, but i would like to say is, since i am voting blue no matter who, if what you are voting for is better than some ,ind of cultural cruelty convince me otherwise. Tell me the merits of your cause. Give me hope. Tell me what you and trump and vision for all your neighbors. That includes me and people of all races, religions, genders, identities, orientations, origins. Joyuse if all you have is in trolling and revenge that marginalize people, who now live with more uncertainty, then youre going to fail and you should. Thank you, lisa for your call. ,ext up is steve in anaheim calling on our other line. For a, independence and undecideds. Hello. You are on the air, welcome. This phoned find got i have been on hold for so long. Im not going to get into the contrary an argument here. Basically i want to tell you what is going on out here. Since we are moving our polling for our election up to the super tuesday this year. For the first time. , or of the polling stations my numeral polling station was closed. I had to go online to find out where was open. Which was at a bit of a hassle. It want to pretty easy as far as the new machines and stuff. The only thing that kind of bothers me, is the old polling machines had everybodys language in the computer. And these you have to have a paper ballot separately printed to whoever slang which you are speaking to. 2000 different dialects out here, so that is going to bring up the cost of running elections, more expensive than it used to be. Went, it anything else actually went pretty smoothly. Who is your candidate, steve . Probably is ae,. Ossup, trump or sanders my candidate was andrew yang because he was the only one who looked like he had any foresight on what the future economy will turn to in this country. Thank you for your call tonight. And thank you for waiting. Scully for to steve results from alabama and massachusetts. And i on the michigan primary which is why tulsa gabbard is there. So
Elizabeth Warren in detroit. She is now third in massachusetts. Lets look the returns from massachusetts where former
Vice President joe biden, with 1 atng reported, joe biden 34 . Senator sanders at 25. 5 . Senator warren at 22. 3 . 50 50 oomberg at is thereshold 15 threshold. In alabama the early numbers show former
Vice President joe biden being declared the winner by the
Associated Press based on x upon numbers. I could bloomberg second at just under 30 . This is the closest he has come so far in 14 states with the early reporting from the east coast. 15. 9 . Sanders at senator warren at 4 . Again early number from alabama. The former
Vice President picking up another win on this super tuesday. . Susan america samoa is holding its primary with set 12 delegates at stake. Some people have mentioned on twitter it becomes important at the
Convention Ends up being a close contest. Michael bloomberg is the winter there with 49 so far. That is herd second birthplace. Samoa,
Michael Bloomberg has seven staff on the ground working
American Samoa for the primary. Related to that, heres
Jennifer Epstein tweeting about the next debate amid speculation that tulsa gabbard could qualify for the march 15 debate after winning one delegate in
American Samoa. The dnc says of course the threshold will go up. By then almost two 2,000 delegates will have been allocated. And the debate will reflect the race as it was has. To the phones, jim . I am a registered republican and did vote for trump in the primary. But i will wait and see in the general election. It does not really make any difference here in california. It is going to go overwhelmingly democratic. I think regardless of who is nominated. How was your expense at the polls today . How was your experience . Where i live, and much of kern county is like this, we only have absentee ballots. Oh, ok. You can go and vote in a polling place if you want. And i like that, i prefer to vote in polling places. But the absentee ballots come and it is pretty easy. My problem with the concept is, you are voting early, even if it is only two or three days. Change. Cannot really my wife voted for a candidate, she is a democrat, and the candidate dropped out. So she would have changed her vote if she voted today. How are things across the dinner table in your household . Very quiet. We do not talk about politics much. [laughter] what is most important to you in the election . I think stability. And im not sure who the best candidate. Biden at least i think has a lot of stability. My problem with all of the candidates, virtually all, including trump, they are too old. I am in my 70s, so i am not a young guy saying this. We need younger people. This time around and the democrats we had a lot of dumb younger people in the democrats we had a lot of younger people and none of them have surfaced. Thank you for calling in tonight, jim in california. Seven minutes from now one more state will be added to the roster of results. Arkansas with 31 delegates closes at 8 30 p. M. Eastern. At 9 00 we pick up the big state of texas with 228 democratic delegates, along with colorado and minnesota. So some big states coming up in a short time, along with our event with
Michael Bloomberg which will be starting soon. Next, a call with ed in rockford, michigan, a democrat. Hello. I am nervous so i will try to steady myself. I am for
Bernie Sanders. Reason is that he is financed with little peoples donation. I get 150 so far for his campaign. Had a 50 so far for his campaign, and i do not have that kind of money. 150 so far for his campaign, and i do not have that kind of money. What i think you will see is biden will start picking up a lot of
Campaign Money he has not received from corporate donations and so forth. He wont get that many small donations. That is a real critical thing. Because once the election is over with, he becomes president , these corporations will come to them after the election and ask for this and that and so forth. You. Ou know, i will tell i got preexisting conditions. And, you know, trump is promising, he can keep, you know, preexisting conditions. What is going to happen is, we might keep that, but the
Insurance Companies will be able to increase the prices. So if you have diabetes and so guy. , im a 75yearold and, you know, medicare is the way to go. Ok ed, thank you. Calling us from rockford, michigan. A journalist tweeted this. Following up to the
Elizabeth Warren campaign event. She writes, caught a
Elizabeth Warren leading her detroit event. Asked her if she does not win a state tonight, which he dropped out and she did not respond. Our next event is with michael , florida. In west palm that is judge judy doing the introduction. Lets listen in. And we will watch
Michael Limburg after her. This is the problem. I want to fix it. And he listens to them. [applause] that is what he will do for us. We have to make sure it happens. Not, the rancor in this country will rip us apart. Joy. Or me, it is a and at my stage in life, i have so few of those. [laughter] joy. A and a thrill for me, to introduce a man who i respect, who are admire. And i hope will inhabit 1600 in 2021,
Mike Bloomberg. [cheers and applause] [cheers and applause] [cheers and applause] fmr. Mayor bloomberg well hello, florida [cheers and applause] what a crowd. Thank you all for coming duty and i were just going to send home tonight. She has her home, i have mine. Watch a little television. Have a drink or two. I want to thank judge . Duty. Isnt she amazing . [cheers and applause] all the a big thanks to elected officials in florida supporting our campaign. I want to thank judge duty. Mayor and
Congress Deutch andd stephanie murphy. Lets hear it for them. Judge judy. It is great to be here in this beautiful state. I know you are not used to seeing and your current southern florida in late winter. [laughter] unlike the president , i did not come here to golf. [cheers and applause] or to reveal classified information to maralago members. [laughter] i came here because winning a november starts with florida. [cheers and applause] if im the bloomberg nominee, let me make you this promise. We will beat donald trump here in florida and in swing states around the country. [cheers and applause] tonight the polls are still open in a number of super tuesday states. At the results come in, here is what is clear. No matter how many delegates we win tonight, we have done something no one else thought was possible. In just three months we have gone from 1 of the polls to being a contender for the democratic nomination for president. [cheers and applause] enthusiasm, they do not lack. [laughter] all across america i have been talking with voters. My message is simple. I am running to beat donald trump. [cheers and applause] and to start rebuilding our country. And to start getting things done. [cheers and applause] mean big, important things , like stopping gun violence. [cheers and applause] and fighting
Climate Change. [cheers and applause] and finally achieving
Affordable Health coverage for all americans. [cheers and applause] campaign for change. A campaign for sanity. For honesty. A companion for inclusion, a campaign for inclusion, compassion, competence. In a campaign for human decency. And this is a campaign to bring our country back together. And to put the united act in the
United States of america. [cheers and applause] united, back the into the
United States of america. [cheers and applause] that is the message i have been delivering to democrats and two swing voters who actually decide who will be our next resident. [cheers and applause] president. Our next tonight we proved we can win the voters who will decide the general election. And isnt that this is all about . Yes fmr. Mayor bloomberg while my fellow candidates spent a year focusing on the first four states, i was campaigning against donald trump in the states where the election will wisconsin andke michigan and pittsburgh and
North Carolina and florida. President obama proved a democrat can win all of those states. But in 2016 we lost them all. I am running to win them back. [cheers and applause] together, we are going to get it done [cheers and applause] we all know trumps strategy. Make their plans look unrealistic, unaffordable and undoable. That will not work against us. No. Fmr. Mayor bloomberg our plans are sensible, workable and achievable. And we have the record and resources to defeat trump in swing states that the democrats lost in 2016, like florida. [cheers and applause] i know we can do it. Do you know who else knows it . Donald trump. And that is why he keeps attacking us on twitter. Out, he sent a tweet urging people not to vote for us. Gee, i wonder why . [laughter] clearly, trump is scared steph of facing us. And for good reason. In every campaign i ran for mayor, we built a
Broad Coalition that brought democrats and independents and moderate republicans together. Donald trump the other day called me short. I said donald, where i come from we measure people from the neck up. [cheers and applause] that is how we are going to beat donald trump. Leader whoe need a is ready to be commander in chief and not college debater in chief. So if you want someone who talks turkey, and has a record of a college man on all the big issues facing our country. And who has a record of accomplishment on all the big issues facing our country, and who has the resources to beat trump, i am your guy. [cheers and applause] tweets, i follow facts, respect data and tell the truth. My whole career i have been a doer. I believe we need less talk, less partisanship, less division, less tweeting. [cheers and applause] note tweetingbout from the oval office ever again note tweeting how about no tweeting from the oval office ever again . [cheers and applause] youve probably heard our
Campaign Slogan we will get it done. Winning in november and sending donald trump back to maralago permanently. [cheers and applause] but thator bloomberg is just the beginning. Adding it done means finally providing
Health Insurance for every american who lacks at [cheers and applause] means passinge, common sense gun safety laws, to protect our children and communities. [cheers and applause] means makingne america a
Global Leader in the fight against
Climate Change. [cheers and applause] creatingt done means good jobs with higher wages. [cheers and applause] getting it done means addressing discrimination and inequality. [cheers and applause] getting it done means creating a path to substance ship and find to citizenship and finally fixing our broken immigration system. [cheers and applause] and getting it done means protecting a womans right to choose. [cheers and applause] our campaign is a fight for americas ideals and values. It is a fight to build a
Better Future for everyone. Not to bring back a past that lets so many out. That left so many out. It is a fight we cannot afford to lose. So i need your help. And i need your vote. You talk to your friends and families tell them, if you want quality

Ernie Sanders is on our from vermont. Ht we will bring that to live when the senator goes to the podium. Steve scully has been watching the results in other states. Susan, early nevers and texas. An interesting race, early numbers in texas. It is all about delegates. 1191ant to accumulate the delegates. Senator
Bernie Sanders currently ahead with 20 of the vote now in. Sanders at 27 . 20 . Iden at senator warren at 18. 7 . At 17. 7 ofmberg the vote. That is in texas. In alabama it has been declared, former

Bernie Sanders campaign is. Eliza collins is covering this story for the wall street journal. What is the headline from the
Sanders Campaign . Please with the results out of virginia and
North Carolina in particular. Those are two delegate rich states and they had hoped to do better. Were called so quickly for joe biden was not good news for the
Sanders Campaign. He had limited time and did spend some of that campaigning in both states with multiple events. That is not great news. Our states still being counted where sanders does look to be ahead or competitive. So it is still a positive vibe here. But the virginia and
North Carolina news is a blow to the
Sanders Campaign because they do have so many delegates. As you talk to people inside the
Sanders Campaign is there a sense the momentum shifted over the last 48 hours . Of it with the withdrawal
Pete Buttigieg and any code and are
Amy Klobuchar their endorsements . We were talking with the
Deputy Campaign manager and they said this is something they expected and had no plans to change their strategy. The centrists of the party to consolidate to try to stop him. There was hope that that would help sanders in a way people felt like it was being raised against him paired we are not quite sure how that is pending out. That might they there was hope it might help sanders. He is doing well and a lot of states. They are banking on california which is the most delegates of any state. He was up by a lot there. Spent a lot of time and money and that state looks like that could really help boost him back up for these other losses. Over 400 delegates in california. What is that calendar like for senator sanders in his home state of vermont tonight . What is next on his schedule . Advised. Not publicly he has one event that is public next week in illinois. Set ofesday a whole new states will be set to vote. The
Campaign Says there will be states coming up dates coming up. They were evaluating when we asked him about people consolidating on the center of the party. They said lets get through super tuesday before talking about changing any strategy. I expect to see calendar announcements tomorrow or thursday. As of now the only public thing is illinois next week. The
Sanders Campaign in
Essex Junction vermont tonight. Thank you for being with us and reporting online at wsj. Com. We just got the schedule for the
Biting Campaign and know that this weekend the former
Vice President will be in st. Louis, missouri and jackson, mississippi. You can see there trying to keep its eye on the primers that follow tonight super tuesday. Thing we keep saying on twitter from california our people reporting long lines at polling places. Elizabeth warren. Lets vote for
Elizabeth Warren. Was it busy, did you vote today . Im looking at the numbers in the state of alabama, they are low compared to other states. We all need to do a better job at getting to the polls and casting our votes. It should be higher than what we are seeing according to other states, much, much higher. But i voted for
Elizabeth Warren. Not because she is a female. But she is the one to get the job done in order for us to rebalance this country again. Thank you for your call. Patrick from chicago. Who is your candidate . Yes, hello. Elizabeth warren i am supporting

President Trump said he was selffunded and yet i was a part of trumps email campaign newsletter. Every email down at the bottom of his messages, all had a donate to the trump campaign. So, what you really selffunded . I doubt it. I am a part of
Michael Bloombergs melt newsletter and that is not there. What issues are most important to you, timothy . Change, i think climate gun safety. I think these are all very important issues. Winning. I consider myself progressive. Conflicted this morning. And i really like biden didnt want him to win. T the same time i also wanted to vote for the candidate that i and that was ked andrew yang. For andrew voting yang and part of the reason that i thought he e would win because obviously he is out of the race now, but its to take a stand for the intforms that he encompassed his campaign. O universal basic income, rank
Choice Voting and smart sensible solutions for
Climate Change and lot of other issues were facing in todays world. You know, its really hard, i like bernie and i also like

Vice President joe biden is in the lead with 31 followed by bernie 28. 5 and senator
Elizabeth Warren at 24 , michael coming in a distant fourth. As we said earlier, susan, all f the speeches tonight are available on our website at cspan. Org. Looking at tweets from some of the journalists covering the campaign. Pbs, biden rode his big win in
South Carolina straight into
North Carolina. Won 50 of black voters in
North Carolina, sanders got 25 voters and bloomberg only go 12 of black voters. Here is again, black voters who take in lots of info biden most. Also this from the
Associated Press on colorado, bernie wins the democratic president ial primary in colorado to them called at 7 00 p. M. Mountain standard time, four minutes ago. Telephone calls, next up with nicholas watching us in on the n, kentucky, other line. Who is your candidate, nicholas . Definitely senator
Bernie Sanders from vermont. Like senator you sanders . Caller he advocates social historically oppressive groups. Delectable. St opulism wins over any ideological bent. Susan what would a trump
Sanders Campaign be like in your eye . Caller a lot of spending by the r. N. C. That will try to attack disingenuous in ways. Sanders consistency working for make him g class will a viable candidate. Susan thank you, nicholas. Also on our cam, other line tonight, hey, cam, youre on. Caller hi, how, are you . Vote caller im actually out of the state now, but i definitely will november. In susan thank you for calling tonight from hometown, york, sure where he is on the road. The next is from florida, this sebastian, florida votes on the 17th. Who are you going to vote for . Hey, im planning to vote for
Bernie Sanders. Democratic ives the party the best chance to win. A lot of people dont believe so
Michael Bloomberg might win or joe biden. I hink its about policy and think he has the same ideas on is policy since he entered his career marching along with
Martin Luther king. He had the crazy ideas on the of the working class, the community of color and the environment. And so with that highlighted ideas at the start of his career ll the way to 2020, i think based on the policy and the personality and individual who he can s, i think overcome anything trump might at him and i think the community and the movement that that we all hope, hope didnt get from the obama administration. Supporting they should support him and move him position to ter beat donald trump. If its a battle on policy and thats what it is, bernie has it all the way. Susan thanks for your call. Ou can see the crowd is quite revved up in
Essex Junction, vermont. E were told that senator sanders would come out at five minutes past the hour, its after. Eight minutes lets return to steve for more results. Candidates for office are always on time, lets look at new results from texas, been called, ot but senator
Bernie Sanders, stakeare 228 delegates at in texas. Lets go to oklahoma because that has been called, joe to texas, ok, k senator
Bernie Sanders 28. 9 , at 22. 5 . 19. 1 and oomberg at senator warren at 13. 3 . Lets go to oklahoma, called for joe biden. Delegates at stake, with 47 of the vote now in. Former
Vice President biden at 37. 5 followed by senator
Bernie Sanders at 24 , michael getting again delegates if these numbers continue to hold at 15. 1 . Finally in arkansas where there are 31 delegates at stake in that state, no winner declared, but former
Vice President biden is ahead with just a small percentage arkansas followed by
Bernie Sanders,
Michael Bloomberg a very close third at 20. 2 and so some of these numbers come in, were beginning o see the
Bloomberg Campaign looking to pick up delegates, he 15 threshold that would qualify for delegates, the big contest is in california. Those ld point out that results could be slow in coming in. 60 of the vote in
California Voting or absentee ballots. One note from the exit polls networks, 310 voters their decision in the last 48 to 72 hours. Kramer is with buzzfeed. Here is her tweet. Gets ites nobody, nobody out the vote like
Bernie Sanders ays t. J. Donovan, the attorney general of vermont right now in burlington. Big testeing the first of that case with disappointing early results for sanders as his movement. The next telephone from tennessee, erin is watching us hickory, tennessee, who is your candidate . Caller its
Bernie Sanders. Susan what do you like about senator sanders . Caller he has been consistent entire political career and that really enthuses me as well policies really enthuses me. Iwould just like to say today voted, my house had no power, my polling location had no power, i thank all of the volunteers that helped this through. Go susan how are the things in your neighborhood overall . Luckily, it passed us very, very closely, it was a sure. Night for susan how many people got out to vote in your neighborhood . At the re other people polls . Caller yes, there was definitely a line. Of all mainly because of the problems that came from not having electricity at the time. Me ask you something, we dont have a final tally in the results ut right now according to a. P. With 22 reporting, its pretty close joe biden at 30 , bloomberg at 22 in your state and bernie do you think why your state is more than evenly divided . I really think its a lot of republicans switching honestly, and my family beginning and the its a lot of younger people wanting change and a lot of people wanting to go back quo. E status susan good luck to you and your neighbors recovering from the tornado yesterday. Thanks for calling in today. Next up is michael in fort democrat, youre on. Aller yes, i have been a lifelong
Democrat Voter and im air between the sanders and trump. I really like what trump has in the last few years, my whole he wall, point is just like the
National System system, we definitely need to keep merica doing good, america on its track, dont need worry about other countries. We just need to
Pay Attention america wants and america needs. Usan and do you see that either
Bernie Sanders or
President Trump can deliver the ind of america that you envision . Caller trump is doing good, he could do better. I think he should steer away frommists because israel has put in many world wars and other conflicts. Problem. Ot americas susan thanks, michael, for your call. Tweet about er california. If california breaks late for norris like liott the rest of super tuesday states doing, i think were ending the with a plus 50 delegate lead for biden. Steve scully with more results. Steve susan, getting some numbers from minnesota, of is a state that
Amy Klobuchar had hoped to win. Withdrew from the race yesterday traveling to dallas to endorse joe biden. We carried it live last night. Former
Vice President joe biden just over y lead at 42 followed by senator bernie
Elizabeth Warren at 13. 7 and
Michael Bloomberg at 10. 3 . Mentioned earlier, the networks have called colorado
Bernie Sanders nxt tennessee with 26 of the vote in, former
Vice President joe lead is holding on to a just over 30 , 24 for senator
Michael Bloomberg crossing that threshold getting 22. 2 and
Elizabeth Warren at 9. 4 . We keep going back to much atsetts because so stake for senator warren and speculation, will she stay in race or withdraw, if she does not win the massachusetts primary. According to the latest numbers, theyre on our cspan. Org. Susan next up is mike in sun who is your nia, candidate . Im a
President Trump, teacher, cial service i vote against the media, i vote he republican line, they serve as the offensive team of the left and the democrats serve as on the left. Team lurch to lling, the the left the democrats have taken is going to be very lot of and carry a baggage because the fact that of the debates where one of the journalists asked where they illegal aliens getting free healthcare courtesy of the they all xpayer and agreed with that. Everyone of them put their hand biden included. So with extreme positions like the where they dont put interests of the
American People going to serve as sort of an undercurrent to their contentions and heir platform,
President Trump no matter what you say, theyre throwing everything at him, what at are you going to throw him. The bottom line is, america ntuitively understands that he loves america and he loves merican people and thats why, i predicted the 2016 election. Down to theuld come working class white families and the have been forgotten by democrats with the political philosophies. Intuitive factor that is going on versus the intelligences factor. Democrats in the west, they only understand the intelligence affect. Understand the intuitive factor. Hey identify from the top down instead of from the bottom up. Susan thank you, mike, from sun city, california, following two duelling rallies from two different coasts. Were waiting for either candidate reaching the podium coverage of live that. My location, he weets say machines are being glitchy. Technical issues lead to long says for california voters he. Next up is miranda who is in otherse, new york, on our line, go ahead, please. Caller thank you for taking my at this moment, im undecided as to who im a primary. Te for in at first i was a supporter of warren, as i have been watching im not sure how theyre going to pay for and do theyre going to say. Susan how will you make your decision . Caller im going to continue to o on the websites, check it out, maybe i might get more watching your show and see if i can find out the best ng to be candidate because im not voting for trump. I dont like what he is doing. Seems he is trigger happy and other times someone says he thing he doesnt like calls out fake news and calling dont know a liar. Susan what is the number one miranda . You, caller people with disabilities. Im not hearing what theyre to do to improve lives of people with disabilities. m having problem
Getting Services i need and thats one do y issues is what can we for people with disabilities, get the services they need. A disability and youre low income, it is services to get the that you need and people with disabilities have these challenges. Lot of us are working our hardest to face those challenges overcome ith them and that. Susan miranda, thanks so much for participating tonight. Our of good stories from callers. We appreciate you sharing them with us. Steve, you have more results . Gabbard covered tulsi tonight, a couple races that are texas with call, 228 delegates at stake, bernie vote in ith 25 of the from
Texas Holding on to a lead, but former
Vice President joe a surprisingly strong second with poll numbers had him way down before the race changed. Michael bloomberg at 19 and warren in texas at 13. 3 . In oklahoma with 37 delegates at stake, again, its all about the delegates for these candidates, joe biden president has been declared the winner, followed by senator bernie and michael. 3 bloomberg right now just at the 15 at 14. 9 , needs to get to get delegates. In colorado with 67 delegates as said earlier, the a. P. Had declared
Bernie Sanders the winner. Picking up rs colorado with a portion of the 67 delegates. In ael bloomberg coming second in colorado, this is a strongest showing so far based numbers in colorado followed by former joe biden. 75 finally in minnesota with delegates at stake, this is state that former vice resident joe biden hoping the
Amy Klobuchar endorsement would help him. Susan. Florida,xt up is john, who is your candidate . Caller
Bernie Sanders. Do you like
Bernie Sanders . Caller i like the idea that he bolster the unions. Myself, imon worker travel something alabama working at
Browns Ferry Nuclear plant. He joy what he says when wants to get people ahead and back into the union and make it strong. My biggest hope is whichever democrat does get in and opefully they will win the presidency, they will reinstate the tax codes for the all lost ns that we because when we travel, we have our bills back home and we have travel, we got to pay bills on the road. Cant itemize e our motels, our food, our fuel miles, everything that was itemization that we were able to do previous before mr. Trump got hands into the tax codes and back ically, he did this knife the unions. Most union men do travel for a living. Its an unfortunate thing, there is not enough union work at home. Can take mr. Sanders care of that action. At the same time i will continue to travel, but we need our back. Ations its hurting us very deeply. And myself and every other union i speak to, it hurts us 20,000, en we lose 30,000 in itemizations, its a hard nut to crack. Its harder to travel to make a living. Year doow many nights a you spend on the road . To 220. From 150 susan a lot of time away from home. Kind of work do you do . Caller im working up in
Nuclear Power plants. Shutdowns, i travel the outages. Alabama rrently in right outside atkins, alabama, where the
Browns Ferry Nuclear from there i is plan to move on to, up to sequoia upnd we have that way which im a member of chattanooga, tennessee. Susan thank you, john, for home of n tonight from port orange, florida, dont see that often. Statement from mayor bloomberg . Not mayor bloomberg winning so far any of the states on super tuesday. Campaign manager issuing a statement a moment ago, let me read part of what he said. Launched our campaign exactly 100 days ago. In that incredibly short time we a nationwide coalition focused on building a
Better Future for america. Onethird of the delegates will be allotted. As mike said this evening, no how many delegates we win tonight, in three months we have polls to 1 of the being in tinder for the democratic nomination adding number one priority remains defeating donald trump in november. Ou can read between the lines, he will be taking up some delegates, does not appear based on the early numbers that any el bloomberg will win of the states and so possibly a reassessment coming up in the ahead. Were getting an indication that bloomberg will continue to be on onight based on the statement from kevin that was sent to us a moment ago. Susan speaking of campaigns we also have this tweet from a reporter who is the
Warren Campaign hannah, writes, this is
Elizabeth Warren has postsuper uesday itinerary lined up, lansing michigan, phoenix, arizona, and boise, idaho, over days. Xt few speaking of arizona, our next trent in from arizona, tucson, a democrat. Trent, who is your candidate . Caller im actually looking go for joe biden coming up in the election. I feel at the end of the day, of us democrats just dont want to see trump in that seat in the oval office again and im 21 years old, i agree with a lot of what bernie ays and a bunch of my friends do, actually my brother runs the democratic socialists of america university, but i really dont think america is eady for that extreme of a change going from trump who is on the right all the way to the of bernie. Socialist susan why do you think joe competitor . E a good caller i feel like he is in the middle. Day, he calls the him moderate. And buttigieg in the debates unite the ts to
Democratic Party and defeat trump. I was a buttigieg fan, at the right in day he is endorsing biden and he gives us the best chance of taking down someone else in the oval office. Susan thanks for your call. Alex wagner from with the circus, a journalist for that organization. She writes, sorry, he writes, man, does joe biden owe a debt gratitude to clyburn referring to the
South Carolina endorsement hose before saturdays primary there eemed to tip the scales very much in favor of the former
Vice President. Next up with is brendan in democrat, hi. Caller hi, how are you . Susan fine, turn your tv volume down so we dont get feedback. Go ahead. Caller actually i was an independent in the 2016 election declared as a democrat in this election. For
Bernie Sanders. Me s mostly because for you about integrity and if look at
Bernie Sanders track record, everyone knows he has integrity, he was there in the civil rights movement, he these n fighting for issues his entire life. T shows, all the videos show, all the speeches show it, from the 1960s till now, he has been planning for the middle man, caring about the average american. Is other big thing for me accountability in the sense that someone like trump or bloomberg out of their wallets. They have no accountability that theyre held to other than the that they have their wallets where someone like slips up, ers, if he he messes up, he loses his fundraising. Es he loses the thing that keeps him going, love and respect from supporters and the money that theyre supplying him in his pursuit of the presidency. I was bernie in 2016, i am now, and, yeah. Brendan, nk you, massachusetts. Trying to keep up its momentum in vermont. He senator continues to delay his appearance to make his address tonight. One of the reporters we checked earlier, ruby kramer writes this, one of his spokesman is if ing to reporters and say you turn off your television at 10 00 p. M. Eastern time, you a different to race, bernies
Spokesman Says to as orters in burlington supporters wait for sanders to speak. They are watching it come in to supporters. Next up is malcolm, brooklyn, is your candidate . Senator warren or senator sanders. Why do you like them . Caller after corruption, the environment and education. Susan how viable are they . Theyre think completely viable. I think people of my generation and younger especially are fed with the cost of the
Health Insurance and getting no exchange for that. And also are stuck in debt to loans. Tudent susan thanks for calling in tonight. Appreciate your participation. From you, results please. Steve three states that are too call and maine 150 joe fewer, separating biden and
Bernie Sanders followed by
Elizabeth Warren at at and
Michael Bloomberg 12 . Also in tennessee, we have been talking about tennessee because tornado that hit overnight killing more than 20 people in the nashville area and voting was extended in parts of nashville. Former
Vice President joe biden on to a lead. Ng called. E has not been 35,000 votes for the former
Vice President followed by 65,000 for
Bernie Sanders. Michael bloomberg at 47,000 or coming in tor warren a distant fourth. Finally in texas, another race close to call, but senator sanders continuing with d on to his lead about 6 reporting followed by ormer
Vice President biden,
Michael Bloomberg and senator
Elizabeth Warren rounding out at 13. 2 . Lot more numbers to come from texas, a race that has susan the very first candidate to speak tonights
Tulsi Gabbard. Her remarks are about 18 minutes. We will show you what she had to say and if either joe biden or
Bernie Sanders come out life, we will interact that and if we have to do that, it is all available on her website. Lets listen to
Tulsi Gabbard on her super tuesday evening. Major combat veteran, congresswoman, future president ,
Tulsi Gabbard. Tulsi gabbard a low half. Aloha. Good to see you. Thank you for coming out, everybody. Nice to see you. Thank you. Have a seat. Aloha. It is great to be back in detroit. You got it going on. I actually have roots in michigan. Pretty deep roots. I want to introduce you to my mother, there in the back. Michigan,p here in grand rapids. Went to university of michigan. , swept herad came off her feet, took her far into the pacific ocean, to a little island. She is having a blast coming back here. Thank you so much. You know what is so incredible that im grateful for every day, we have been campaigning for a year a liver the country. The privilege and honor of being able to spend time with people like you everywhere. From allo are coming different backgrounds, across party lines, racial lines, life, cominglks of together, being bound together, by a singular motivation. Thank you, sir. It is a motivation based in love. Love of country. Love and care for each other. A deep concern for the challenges we face. Deeply rooted challenges that go , hyperthe superficial partisan bickering of the day, what really deeply rooted in recognizing, how do we stand together as americans to solve problems. To solve the problems impacting everyone of us, our families, our parents, our loved ones. This is what binds us all together. Out has brought you all here tonight. You could spend your time doing anything but you are here because you care. This is where i draw great hope and inspiration for where we can go together as a country. We recognize how divisive, unfortunately, the current political culture is that we are in. Focusing oneally issues, focusing on listening to the voices of people across our so many we have headlines, so much of the noise aboutial media, really pitting a group of people against one another. Who you voted for, who you voted your job is, how or if you worship, or even what cable news channel you watch. Things, hese different adding fuel to the cancel culture that its really undermining foundational ,rinciples of the country where, for generations, we have celebrated freedoms like the freedom of speech, where just as i have a right to stand here before you, you have a right to stand and share your views, your principles, to run for office and bring your ideas to the forefront of how we solve problems. We should not be afraid of having diversity of those ideas. We should not be afraid of the perspectives and experiences we bring. It is through the dialogue, through our ability to see each other as fellow americans and treat each other with respect, and have the engagements where we can agree on something, disagree on others, agree without being disagreeable by staying focused on what the mission is. Mission is not about or our selfish interest own arrogance or pride or anything else, but really about how we can make a positive for each other and our country and planet, this is what life the pathway forward for us. Read a quote from abraham had never seen before that really drove the point home for me. I have been sharing it with everyone sense. He said, i dont like the man. I need to know him better. [applause] such a powerful, simple but powerful statement that really how we bridge these divides. I have been asked over and over again, and it has been heartbreaking every time i have asked from people who care so much and feel so hopeless, and ask, is it even possible for our country to bridge these divides when we are so torn apart . Where we get to a place we can treat each other with respect regardless of whether we are of the same party or another, at a time where people are casting judgment saying, i do not want to talk to you or hear your ideas or have anything to do with you because you are of the other, fill in the blank. Understand how dangerous this is, if this is what we are america,o accept as the truth of the speech
Abraham Lincoln k gave will come about. A house divided against itself cannot stand. That will become our reality. This speaks to the
Pivotal Moment we have before us, that you have before you in this election. About what choice you will make. What kind of leadership and what kind of future you want for the country. My only for ourselves what to those who come after us. Kind of message do you want to send to leaders in washington, where we live in a country where our government is of, by, and for the powerful elite, leaving the rest of us behind. That the vision that our founders at for us, that we would have representatives of the people whose sole mission was serving you, is far from the reality we are struggling with today. Evidence notis just with the headlines. What i see people talk about with pundits and talking heads, it is so disconnected from conversations im having in rooms like this in small towns, west, peopleeast, across the country who are frustrated because the voice your voice is not breaking through and it is not for lack of trying. It is because the truth and your voices and the ability and come togetherto as americans, setting differences aside and saying we have got to figure this out, we have got to bring about the change, we have got to solve the problems, for each other. Telling when we face a situation where powerful elite in washington are not even trying to hide the fact that they are afraid of voices of the people. That out in the open now, you being spent, money lobbying efforts being made in preparation for the
Democratic Convention saying hey, if voters in the country pick a candidate elite do notrful like, we have to back a plan that to not rule the voice of the people. Not even a secret. It is blatantly being thrown in our faces. Has been in our court. What will we do about it . Do we lie down and be like, you have the power and we have nothing, and let them roll through . Absolutely not. But do not let it stop there. Continue to speak truth to power and continue to hold leaders accountable, to aboutue to remind them the oath that every
Single Member of congress takes. That does not say we the wealthy or we the powerful its as we the people. [applause] we, the people. That means something. The
Founding Fathers were intentional with those three words. It is a reminder to everyone of us that in the darkest of times, where you feel so hopeless, that the power in the democratic republic lies in our hands, that haveately, we, the people, the responsibility, challenge, and responsibility to determine what leaders you want working for you. The power to hold leaders accountable if we choose to do so. Are reminders to the leaders sent to washington on we are farout from the reality that we know this is where we need to go. I start the conversation talking about this because it is at the of how we can bring about solutions to the whole laundry t of challenges environment, our impacts thethat whations and effects of our country is doing on the consequences the are very real. But unless we address what is at the heart of both our challenge that we face in this country, and our opportunity to raise our voices, we will not be able to see progress. This is the most critical thing. We too often feel like our voices will not be heard, like we are powerless to affect change. When we look throughout history and see monumental changes in this and other countries, i think of obviously leaders like dr. Martin luther king and ,elson mandela,
Mahatma Gandhi leaders who recognize two important things. The power of the peoples voices and how essential it is that even during the darkest of times, the only way to defeat the darkness is with light, that even in the times where we feel surrounded by negativity and , racism, go down the list, that our challenge and opportunity is to stand strong with courage and strength that can only come with love to defeat the hate. It is the only thing that can. Because love is not weak. Think about the people in your life whom you love most dearly, whether you are a parent, child, brother, sister, stealth spouse, think about those you love dearly in your life and the forth you would go for them their security. Only love can defeat hate. Care we have for one another, whether were coming together as total strangers, already coming together as friends, is rooted in the identity of who we are as americans. What we want our nation to represent. Because this is the truth. Our nation is not defined by one person. Who occupies the white house. Our nation is defined by us, by the constitution. We are america. We are america. The opportunity is ours and this is where i see hope for our future because you are not alone. I guarantee we have republicans, libertarians, if you are coming here tonight and feeling maybe youre the only one here tonight who voted for trump in the last election, i guarantee that you are not alone. Right . Gosh, ire saying, my will be the only republican in a room full of democrats, i guarantee that youre are not alone. Whether you prefer voted for bernie, hillary, trunk, ron paul, gary johnson, just like we are here tonight, as americans, first. Together to put country first. There are people gathering who are doingntry exactly the same thing. This is how we bridge the divide and heal divisive wounds in the fat and blaze a new new four for the country that does not fit into conformed boxes where we are told we have to be this or that, prejudging who we are and what we are cap full of. The power is in our hands and the opportunity is ours. We cannot look back and cannot fail. We have to
Carry Forward this torch, if not for yourself then for those you love in the country we hold most dear. Thank you for being here and standing with me here tonight. Thank you. Congresswoman
Tulsi Gabbard is the first of candidates who come out came out tonight to speak to supporters. There getting from candidate will be out about 15 minutes for now, continuing to delay as they watch super tuesday states. We will continue to wait and take your phone calls. A tweet to share with you. Alex is an nbc digital reporter. One tonight is
Campaign Like in general. Joe biden was outspent 71 by sanders and almost 1001 by bloomberg. Barely campaigned in any states, and yet. The
Richmond Times dispatch foot this operation out. Joe biden received more votes tonight in the virginia primary that obama did in the 2008 primary. Lookout is that went to sanders, charlottesville, harrisonburg, steve scully, you have more results for us. Steve a contested senate gop race. Y, locked in a close more numbers on that in a moment. Lets go through the president ial race. In tennessee, four states that. Alabama, has won northridge and you, joe biden is declared the winner. Senator
Bernie Sanders coming coming in second. Michael bloomberg is third in tennessee. Massachusetts, 91 delegates at stake in massachusetts. Right now, joe biden is maintaining a lead over senator
Bernie Sanders, nearly 34 to 28 for senator sanders. Elizabeth warren is her home state. She has won twice, coming in third. Bloomberg, not qualifying for delegates in his home state. Ise,in another state that too close to call. Vice
President Joe Biden has a narrow lead at 23,000 votes just 22,000 for
Bernie Sanders. 34 of the vote reported from maine. Texas, 224 delegates at stake. This is the second biggest prize after california. Senator
Bernie Sanders is holding onto the lead but former
Vice President joe biden is a surprisingly strong second in texas. Michael bloomberg coming in third under 19 . In arkansas, 31 delegates at stake in arkansas. Former
Vice President joe biden is ahead with nearly 31 of the vote compared to about 21 for
Bernie Sanders and locked into a thirdplace contest is
Michael Bloomberg, the hind in arkansas. Minnesota has just been called, the fifth state for former
President Joe Biden. The winner in minnesota. 36 of the vote compared to nearly 32 for senator
Bernie Sanders and
Elizabeth Warren coming in third at 17. 5 . Why thebably explains
Sanders Campaign is delaying speeches tonight in essex. We are still waiting for former
Vice President joe biden, who is in los angeles tonight. Wasatching those results probably a bit of a smile as he watches it. They tweeted this. The best state for sanders so for tonight is colorado. Terrible news from because i didnt, bloomberg, and warren, all are all above 50 . ,
Amy Klobuchar told voters in her home state to vote for biden. 4. 5 , id and leads sanders administered in minnesota. Warrens 5 viable at 17. 9. 16 reporting just a little while ago. We will go back to your telephone calls. Next up is sarah on our other line. That evening. Im a republican in fresno, california, and my candidate is
President Trump. Why do you like his policies . I feel he has done a great job with the economy. I live in a liberal state and our vote really does not count but i wanted to talk a little bit about what it is like voting in a liberal state. Vote by mail in district that you can still take your ballot to the polls. I choose to do that because i like to vote on election day and get my lit it my little i voted sticker. I had to go past four
Homeless People that are living next to the library. When you go inside the library to vote, several
Homeless People are inside, just spending the day. I feel that is part of the policies in california that led homelessremely hard population. When i was in line voting, i noticed what i would call a lot of bernie brose. There were a lot of people in line that i felt were probably firsttime voters. Of young men probably between the ages of 20 and 31 years old. Hispanic. I live in a his heavily hispanic area. Our population is probably 55 hispanic in fresno county. When i watched the news and hear all the coverage about joe biden, they really pushed how the
Africanamerican Community is behind joe. I really feel in california, the
Hispanic Community is behind
Bernie Sanders. I do not know if they fully understand what socialism is and his policies, but he definitely has a
Strong Coalition here. Trump supporter, i feel there are people in california that follow donald and support his policies. A large agriculture community. We are the bread basket of the world. He is trying to help us with some water issues and things to help protect the farming community, which is so vital to the economy and a central part of california. I have been happy with trump. I do not think we have seen all he can do for us because of our liberal policy here. The state is so liberal. In the legislature, there is like a dozen republicans. It is a liberal area. I think things will change in the years to come because like i said, with the homeless, the policies they have put in place just are not working. I think change is coming. But im happy with trump. A lot of my friends and family love trump. I have family in michigan and they talk about how the economy has improved under trump. I am happy with him. We were voting for a congressional race. Devin nunes, who you hear on tv all the time, he is my congressman. We do have republican voices in the area. It is interesting in california. It has changed a lot in the last 10 years and not for the better. I have seen liberal policies take effect and it is scary. It is not the california i grew up in. I love my state. It is a beautiful place to live. I do not want to leave california. I have seen so many people forced to leave the great state because it is too expensive to live here. If you are not in silicon valley, making those google paychecks, it is hard to survive. For family farmers, it is tough. When you look at
Bernie Sanders, tax, youabout eight to ifnot inherit a family farm you have to pay such high estate taxes. Host we have a lot of callers on the line so we have to run. Thank you for giving your analysis and its when your politics. You are watching
Senate Results on primary primary night. Not reachedbard has the threshold. It just
Jeff Sessions hopes to regain his old seat. Coachrmer auburn football is ahead with 100 of the vote now at 36. 5 , followed by senator sessions at newly 32 . There will be a runoff between the former coach and former senator,
Jeff Sessions. An interesting race to watch. A red republican state we will follow in campaign 2020. Who will challenge to him till that rate has been challenged in
North Carolina. Tom cunningham is declared the winner. It trevor fuller, just about 3. 6 . Cal cunningham will has challenged a number of key races in which democrats and republicans spent a lot of time to determine who will be the next majority leader. Will it be
Chuck Schumer or will
Mitch Mcconnell maintain his leadership as leader . Thanks, steve. A columnist for the
Washington Post had this tweet. One of the more astonishing figures in the exit poll, joe biden and
Elizabeth Warren running even among women in massachusetts. We will reair
Michael Bloomberg passes comments to his supporters in florida. He is preparing for the primary coming up on march 10. His remarks are brief. We will listen to what he has to say and then come back and take more calls. Thank you and good evening. It is wonderful to be here with you tonight. I live on the coast of florida as some of you know, and i have been there for over 20 years. The people here clearly love
Mike Bloomberg. Im a truth teller. I do not do spin. This is the greatest country on the planet. And the greatest country on the planet deserves the greatest president. This is a very important time. It was important enough for me to get off the couch, to come america, this is not a time for a sentimental candidate. This is the greatest country in the world. It doesnt need a revolution. It may need a little tweaking. A little tweaking. Im a girl who realized the american dream. So did
Mike Bloomberg. My husband and i live, when our lived re in college, we in a studio apartment with a murphy bed and that wasnt so ago. It was a long time ago, 1990, me, it was a moment. So i know what it is to be able thereb the brass ring and are too many people who need that opportunity so america tweaking in order to give them that opportunity. Need a oesnt revolution. Were fortunate in having for in that we can vote manager, ion who is a leader, someone who has governed with grace, who brought through the 9 11, who brought new 2008 when ack after everybody said new york city was through. He did that because he is a genius. On ees a problem, he brings the best people in the world and he says to them, this is the problem. I want to fix it and he listens them. Thats what he will do for us. To make sure it happens dont, the rancor n this country will rip us apart. And at my t is a joy tage in life, i have so few of those. It is a joy and a thrill for me introduce a man who i admire and i hope 2021, mike t 1600 in bloomberg [cheers and applause] [cheers and applause] mayor bloomberg well, hello, florida what a crowd, thank you all for coming. Stewedy and i were just going to at her tonight, her home, mine at mine, watch two. Vision, have a drink or i want to thank judge judy, isnt she amazing . Big thanks to all of the elected officials in florida our campaign diaz, ng mayors manny lavine, ted deutsch and stephanie murphy, lets hear it them its great to be here in this beautiful state. I know youre not used to seeing a new yorker in southern florida winter. But unlike the president , i golf. T come here to classified information to maralago members. Winning in because november starts with florida. If im the nominee, let me ake you this promise, we will beat donald trump here in lorida and in swing states around the country. Now tonight the polls are still open in a number of super tuesday states. As the results come in, here is what is clear. Matter how many delegates we win tonight, we have done something no one else thought was possible. Just three months, we have gone from 1 of the polls to for the ontender democratic nomination for president. Going at that point were to leave mayor bloomberg. Podium anders is at the in
Essex Junction, vermont. Enator sanders thank you, vermont funny thing, 31 years ago today we won the race in burlington, vermont. Against allhat race of the odds, everybody said it done. Nt be this race for an he presidency, everybody said it couldnt be done. But tonight i tell you with going e confidence were to win the democratic nomination we are going to defeat the most dangerous president in the history of this country. We are oing to win weng to defeat trump because are putting together an nprecedented grassroots multiracial onal, movement. It is a movement which speaks to families of this country who are sick and tired longer hours for lower wages and seeing all new wealth going to the top 1 . Is a movement which says the have states will healthcare for all as a human right. It is a movement that says we bring major reforms in education making sure that all kids can go to
College Without coming out in debt. Now what makes this movement taking on the re establishment. On the greed of wall street. The greed of the
Drug Companies highest priceshe greed of the the companies, and given existential crisis of
Climate Change, we are saying to fossil fuel industry, we are to the fossil fuel industry, their shortterm are not more important than the future of our country and the world. We are not only taking on the corporate establishment, we are taking on the political establishment. To win because he people understand it is our campaign, our movement which is best positioned to defeat trump. Beat trump with the same old same old kind of politics politics. Need is a new politics peopleings working class into our
Political Movement. Which brings young people into
Political Movement in which will create the highest voter turnout in political history. Ere going to beat trump because this will become a ideas. T in one of us in this race led the to the war in iraq, youre looking at him. Voted for the te war in iraq. Entire s has spent his life fighting against cuts in security, instead wanting
Social Security. Another candidate has been on calling of the senate for cuts to
Social Security, medicare, medicaid and veterans programs. Led the opposition to disaster trade agreements which cost millions of good paying jobs, and that is me, and nother candidate voted for disasterous trade agreements. One of us stood up for consumers said we will not support a bankruptcy bill and another candidate represented and redit
Card Companies disasterous bill. So here we are, we have two front of us and they are directly related. A st, we must defeat president who has apparently never ready the constitution of states, a president an thinks we should be autocracy, not a democracy. Second of all, we need a development of movement of black, white, american, asian straight, of and eople who are making it clear every day they will not tolerate income esque level of and wealth inequality we are experiencing experiencing. To ill not give tax breaks billionaires when a half of out on americans sleep the streets. 49 of all newow halfe to go to the 1 when of our people are living paycheck to paycheck. Now, i dont know whats going were en later tonight, doing well in texas right now. Colorado. Cautiously optimistic that later in the evening we can in this argest state country, the state of california. Happens, if r what this campaign and i dont know what will happen, but if it out to be a campaign in which we have one candidate who up for the working class and the middle class, to win that election. And if we have another candidate contributions d from at least 60 billionaires, to win that election. Another ere is candidate in the race who is spending hundreds and hundreds were ions of dollars, going to tell him in america, you cannot buy elections. Where we cited about re, we have come a long, long way. And i want to once again thank vermont and te of. Ll of the people in this state only for the victory you ave our movement tonight, but for the years and years of love given me t you have and my family. So, vermont, from the bottom of hearts, thank you all very much, lets go on to the white house thank you [cheers and applause] snoelt susan and that was bernie live speaking to his supporters in
Essex Junction, vermont, the senators home state. Just to give you a sentence of what a good night it has been disappointing nd for
Bernie Sanders, lets just take a look at the 14 states voted today and this is not a delegate count, this is states the two gone for candidates. States declared for joe biden, north dakotaahoma, and tennessee and the state of virginia. B
Ernie Sandersor just two that have called for him as the victor, the states colorado and vermont. Have been learning all night that the delegates are going to 15 f you reach the threshold will be in fact proportionately. Its not a winner take all. This tweet,
Mike Bloomberg plans to reassess on wednesday whether he should stay in the democratic race after disappointing results on super tuesday. Us . E, what do you have for steve as you pointed out, a number of states still too close with 228 exas delegates and california where the voting is still going on out there. At massachusetts, another state that former
Vice Joe Biden is ahead at the moment with nearly 34 of vote followed by senator
Ernie Sanders at 25 and
Elizabeth Warren at 20 . There are 91 delegates at stake in massachusetts. Maine, another state that has not yet been results, look at the the former
Vice President ahead but very narrowly, 37,000 votes joe biden compared to 36,486 or senator
Bernie Sanders,
Elizabeth Warren 16. 1 and
Michael Bloomberg at 11. 6 . Not getting berg that 15 threshold in order to texas, the es in second largest state in super delegates. H 228 senator sanders continues to hold on to his lead, 15 of the texas, 29 for senator sanders compared to 22. 5 for joe biden. Michael bloomberg 18. 4 and
Elizabeth Warren at just under 13 . Utah, another of the 14 states on this super tuesday with about a third of delegates at stake,
Bernie Sanders is currently ahead in michael owed by bloomberg at 18. 6 and you can see
Elizabeth Warren and pete who dropped out. In the utah primary, the former
Vice President so far is not in that he top four state. Again, its all about the delegates. At the moment, joe biden is delegate count. That will change once the results come in from california results from texas. Susan. Susan thank you, steve scully. Hour 0 minutes after the of 10 00 here in washington, d. C. Waiting for the results texas e two big states, and california, were also waiting for joe biden who is in los angeles, you can see the there also waiting for the former

Uality education wouldnt depend on your zip code, funding districts, come school races for teachers, fulltime and 5yearolds exponentially their success. Significant reduction in the cost of going to college and student debt. If you volunteer, you pay nothing. Folks, we can do this lets get something straight. Wall street didnt build this country. Built this country. The middle class built this country. Built the middle class. The middle class is getting clobbered. The middle class is getting clobbered. Too many neighborhoods where we grew up, theyre getting hurt, and guess what, the place where we come from, many from, its where we were raised. There is a reason why im running. Reason why im a place. T in the first keep our waters safe who teach kids, look, to protect other build who grow our field, our cars, pick up our garbage, veterans, dreamers, single moms and every dreamer because im coming and anywhere. Going and were going to provide a pathway for 11 million citizens, other guy voted for the im not going to get into that. Listen, the iron workers, the steel workers, the boiler plumbers, these are the people that have been forgotten. I agree with you, man. People trump forgot, the people i will never for get, remember. Folks, thats why in an economy work. Ds we establish the middle class and this time bring everybody everybody. Democrats, republican, stripe, like, every we did in
South Carolina, like we did across america today, do all the way to the white house. Look, thats why i was so proud embraced by
Amy Klobuchar. We won minnesota because
Amy Klobuchar klobuchar, and were doing well beto as because of orourke. Proud, s why i was so so incredibly proud to have endorsement as well. Of character and courage. And by the way, i was proud to jim clyburn, boy, he is
Something Else. Ook, our campaign reflects the diversity of this party and this nation and thats how it should because we need to bring everybody along, everybody. A nominee who will beat also, also p, but keep nancy pelosi as speaker of the house. Win back the
United States senate. You want a nominee who is a lifelong democrat, a obamabiden at, an democrat, join us starts with the rearrival of decency and honor and fmr. Vp biden trump has fanned the flames of hate and thought to divide us. Demonized, lted and the way he talks about people. He has not a single sense of empathy. He does not have any compassion. No regard for the values that made this country who we are. Not the way you were raised by your moms and dads. He looks at honesty and decency and respect, and he sees it as a sign of weakness. He does not believe that we are the beacon to the world. He does not believe we are all part of something bigger than ourselves. That is what i have said from the moment i announced this candidacy. We are literally in a battle for the soul of america. Folks, winning means uniting america. Not sowing seeds of division and anger and hate. We have to beat donald trump and we will. But we cannot become like him. We cannot have a never ending war between the parties. We need a president who can fight. But make no mistake about it, i badly,ht, we needed as someone who can heal. Look, look at what we did when we passed obamacare. What president obama and i did saving the american automobile industry. And what we did passing that violence against women act but that was not enough. We need a president who can heal the country as well. That is what i will do as your president , i promise you. [cheers applause] delivering real results for you, your family and the community. Orit is not about me, jail, valerie. As about you. Jill, or valerie. It is about you. Our reach should exceed our grasp. There is no doubt in my mind we can grasp whatever we reach for, ladies and telemann. I quoted an english poet. But what a real poet now. An irish poet [cheers applause] poems haney who wrote the called the curatorial. Heres what he says and i believe this to the bottom of my being. He says history says, do not hope on this side of the grave. Onceinalifetime, the long forward title wave of justice rises up. And hope and history rhyme. We can make hope and history rhyme. [cheers applause] there is nothing we cannot do. This is about the future. It is not about the past. It is about our children and our grandchildren. It is about leading this country. And leading the world once again. [cheers applause] folks, we have to remember who we are. This is the
United States of america [cheers applause] is time for america to get back up. Once again fight for the proposition that we hold these truths to be selfevident. That all men and women are created equal. Endowed by the creator with certain unalienable rights. We say too often in school and do not realize how profound it is. We have never lived up until those words. But until this president , we have never walked away from it. Ladies and gentlemen i believe with every fiber of my being that is who we are. Lets get back up. We are a decent, brave, resilient people. We can believe again. We are better than this moment. We are better than this president. Backt back up and take this country. The
United States of america. There is not a single thing we cannot do. [cheers applause] god bless you. And may god protect our troops. [cheers applause] thank you, thank you, thank you. [cheers applause] thank you we are going to do this folks [cheers applause] [screaming] [cheers applause] that you see the former
Vice President joe biden. While he was speaking he picked up yet another state. His seventh win of the night. Winning minnesota. So this being a very good night for the former
Vice President , after a significant wick victory in
South Carolina over the weekend. The
Political Landscape has shifted significantly with the red drawl of a number of candidates including tom steyer with the withdrawal of candidates tom stier,
Pete Buttigieg and
Amy Klobuchar. Joe biden, endorsing
Pete Buttigieg and senator
Amy Klobuchar. The former
Vice President than traveling to los angeles. And we heard from the
Biden Campaign he will have a speech, billed as a major speech, tomorrow in los angeles. We will cover that as part of our campaign 2020 coverage. We will continue to watch the scene in los angeles appeared and get to your phone calls as well. We want to share with you some numbers from utah, another state that has been called in this race for campaign 2020. Another win for
Bernie Sanders with 31 . Inhael bloomberg coming second followed by senator
Elizabeth Warren. In texas the second biggest delegates. 28. 5 , sanders at joe biden at 24. 7 . Another state yet because is maine. Biden is ahead narrowly over sanders and warren. Warrenachusetts, senator is third and joe bidens first followed by
Bernie Sanders. The author of american carnage and political reporter makes a point, tonight in her home state of massachusetts, exit polling showing a
Elizabeth Warren lost women to biden by 10 points and lost very liberal voters to sanders by seven points and lost
College Voters to biden by five points and supporters to sanders by 14 points, that from tim alberta. Can each watch the former
Vice President in los angeles. Charlie in clifton park, new york. Your call. Hello, i am a donald trump supporter. Yes, charlie, you are on the air. Im a donald trump supporter. I think he is the greatest candidate for the white house continuing he gave us a great economy. He continues to improve the country. And, you know, we are always moving forward with him. First and i amca for american first. I also believe that he is the person we need in the white house for the veterans, he has done a lot in the white house already. Especially i mentioned the economy. Matter is i of the think he really, really, genuinely loves our country. Inside trumpsbook white house and if you read that you understand why he became president. He wanted to do the job because he left the country. He is a politician. You look as far as integrity is concerned, you can go up and and questioner each individuals integrity right on the line. I not saying trump is a saint. They are all politicians. Theyre going to say what they need to say to get elected. Trump did not need this job again. He just wants to keep the country moving forward. That is my view. Thank you for the call. Lets go to patty from
Colorado Springs, colorado. We continue to look at the former
Vice President working the crowd. Winning seven states. B
Ernie Sanders 23 states. Vermont, colorado and utah. Patty in
Colorado Springs . Did you vote today . Yes i did. I voted for
Bernie Sanders, the winner turn of it all, eventually. Hearing all of this trump nonsense. It is like bernie said, not me, us. Democrats need to band together and we need to choose the best candidate. A moderate against trump is not going to do it. Not going to win. You need a progressive liberal against a super ultraconservative. Thank you for the call. Lets go to my luck from
Muscle Shoals, alabama. From
Muscle Shoals alabama. Did you vote today . I did. Who did you vote for . I wouldve provided. Think biden has the best i voted for biden. I believe donald trump is a liar. Anyone who listens to him speak for 15 minutes will understand that he lies even in that. Of time. I have three points i want to make. We need someone who can lead us back to a decent america. I believe joe biden can do that. Athink a good ticket would be bidenwarren ticket. Biden can lead. He knows what to do. He knows us internationally. And he also understands, having been a
Vice President , he understands the power or the lack of power of that job. He can make warren a very powerful force. So we would have both a moderate and a progressive. Is,ay, the second point
Mike Bloomberg is spending a lot of money. I like him. I think yes a lot of good things to say. But i think he can best spend his money to defeat trump by buying fox news. The third thing is, alabama has been a
Democratic State for a long time. T changed a lot of the folks who are wallace democrats have become trump republicans. That part of it, that is not all. The reason alabama has gone blue for so long, i mean has gone red for so long, is that we have had a very weak leadership in the alabama
Democratic Party. That changed this year. We have not even had all of the slots filled for a long time, including the selection. Boat, e go to the when we go to vote, not everyplace will have a democrat running. But i hope that would change in the future. Again, i think that we need to have joe. I do believe he can do good things. He has some problems, with his speech sometimes. But who of us do not . Have ronaldould reagan, who had all timers, in the presidency who had alzheimers and the presidency. We could have joe biden who does not have all timers and he was a very smart man, lead us. I think a good ticket would be biden and somebody from the young oppressive side. Thank you for the call. From that younger, progressive side. You see biden continuing to take selfies and savoring seven states in which he won. A significant transformation in this race over the last 72 hours following his win saturday. His first when in three tries for the white house, when he won in
South Carolina. Adding at least seven states. Eliza collins we talked to from the wall street journal make the point that in 2016 senator sanders 14 states on super tuesday. Tonight there are multiple races open. B
Ernie Sanders lost minnesota and oklahoma, two states he won in the last cycle. Clearly a more disappointing night for the
Sanders Campaign. Julia in jacksonville, florida, as we continue to watch the scene in los angeles, your thoughts about tonights results . I am, you know i am disappointed both about the way bernie has been coming along so far. And think that california hopefully texas will end up in his favor. I am a florida voter. I am pro bernie. I hope we can come out for him this year and do better than what we did in 2016. He is 20 somebody i believe can bring over
Republican Voters to vote for him and attract voters from donald trump to him. It is a movement. It is not about me, me, me like doll trump is all about himself. Like donald trump is all about himself and the people who are for him specifically. It is not for america. I think bernie does a really good job of saying it is not just me, it is us. The working class. The people who put in the elbow grease to make this country move at work and function. Wellve not been treated lately, especially in this presidency. I think that bernie can turn things around for the country. It is not just a president ial election that will get us there. It is a movement. It is about the house and the senate to also be aligned. About moving this country forward to oppressive state and aligning us with the rest of the world. I truly believe he can get us there. I really hope he can do it in 2016 but it did not happen for us. I hope it happens for us this time. I feel it is a movement. And it is all of us working together. I hope florida can come out and really get it done for us. Thank you for the call. I want to share this tweet from that president he was watching the result. Saying elizabeth,
Pocahontas Warren and other than many mike was the loser of the night. She did not come close to winning her home state of massachusetts. Now she can sit back with her husband and have a cold beer. He want on to say the biggest loser by far as many
Mike Bloomberg, his
Political Consultants took him for a ride. For it butnothing the nickname. Way to go, mike. Next up is donald, joining us from ontario, oregon. Ahead. I wanta 73yearold and to talk not about the people but about some of the options they were talking about like education and health care. Brother got inest surgery my youngest mother got i surgery for 70. When i was in college i got 8 my youngest brother got i surgery for 70. I got my whole education for less than 2000. In 1965 when the
Great Society came into account, my parents cannot afford health care. Out got out of health of college and the federal government got involved in education the cost of education went up. I got a tuition free education. I paid less for my
College Education that people do now for going to high school. Donald, thank you for the call. There are seven states now on the win column for the former
Vice President , joe biden heard at a handful of other still too close to call. California, the polls will close in less than 15 minutes. Delegates. 15 you can see the scene in los angeles where the
Vice President is spending the night and tomorrow he will deliver a speech. A trump
Campaign Manager issuing a statement with regard to where things stand in the race from the trump campaign. Only increase the likelihood that no candidate will have enough delegates for a first ballot victory at their convention. It only means more chaos. The media is hyperventilating about joe biden. Everyone should remember he is just as terrible a candidate now as a few years ago. President trump will wipe the floor with whatever democrat is unlucky enough to be the nominee. Lets go next to lisette joining us from pennsylvania. Good evening. Hello good evening. I am for president donald trump. The reason i am for him is he believes in the second amendment. The right to our bears bear arms. Prolife against abortion. Created a lot of jobs. He has built in the wall to stop drugs. Human trafficking. Fromllegal immigrants entering the country illegally. Sharon, your next from minnesota. Did you vote today . I sure dead. I was one of the first people this morning i certainly dead. I was one of the first people. I look for your name on the ballot so i had to put my check mark by joe biden. What is your reaction to the results from and a soda and the endorsement by senator
Amy Klobuchar . You know, i love amy. I vote for her every time. I wanted her to come home and be my senator. Maybe she will be put on the vp side for mr. Biden, i do not know and that would be fine too. Thanks for the call. Senator
Bernie Sanders wedding his home state of vermont. Also colorado and utah. Winning his home state of vermont. Also colorado and utah. A close race in colorado a close race in california and texas. Michael bloomberg did when america samoa. There also american the broad voting. The delegate totals will be updated over the there americans abroad are also voting. Got it cspan. Org campaign 2020 for an update. Earlier tonight senator
Bernie Sanders in vermont. [applause] ladies and telemann, the next president of the
United States,
Bernie Sanders power to the people [cheers applause] sen. Sanders thank you, t rmonts it is a funny thing. Today we won the mayoral race in burlington vermont. [cheers applause] racee have won that against all of the odds. Everybody said it could not be done. [cheers applause] race forwe began this the presidency, everybody said it could not be done. [cheers applause] but tonight, i tell you, with absolute confidence, we are going to win the democratic nomination. [cheers applause] defeat thegoing to most dangerous precedent in the history of this country. [cheers applause] we are going to win. [chanting] sen. Sanders we are going to defeat trump because we are putting together an unprecedented grassroots, multigenerational, multiracial movement. [cheers applause] it is a movement which speaks to the working families of this country who are sick and tired of working longer hours for low wages and sing all new income and wealth going to the top 1 . [cheers applause] it is a movement which says the
United States will have health care for all as a human right [cheers applause] it is a movement that says we will bring major reforms in education, making sure that all of our kids can go to college debt. Ut coming out in tha [cheers applause] what makes this movement unique, is we are taking on the corporate establishment. [cheers applause] greed ofking on the wall street. [cheers applause] thede of the drug greed of the
Drug Companies that charge us the highest prices in the world. [cheers applause] the greed of the
Insurance Companies. [cheers applause] and, given the existential crisis of
Climate Change, we are saying to the fossil fuel [cheers applause] we are saying to the fossil fuel industry, their shortterm profits are not more important than the future of our country and the world. [cheers applause] but we are not only taking on the corporate establishment. We are taking on the political establishment. [cheers applause] we are going to win because the people understand it is our campaign, our movement, which is best positioned to defeat trump. [cheers applause] you cannot beat trump with the same old same old kind of politics. [cheers applause] need is a new politics that brings workingclass people into our
Political Movement. [applause] which brings young people into our
Political Movement. [cheers applause] and which, in november will create the highest voter turnout in american political history. [cheers applause] we are going to beat trump because this will become a contrast in ideas. Led thes in this race opposition to the war in iraq. You are looking at him. [cheers applause] another candidate voted for the war in iraq. [boos] one of us has spent his entire life fighting against cuts in
Social Security, to expand
Social Security. Another candidate has been on the floor of the senate calling for cuts to
Social Security, medicare, medicaid, and veterans. [boos] to of us led the opposition disastrous trade agreements which cost us millions of good paying jobs. [cheers applause] and that is me. [laughter] fornother candidate voted disastrous trade agreements. [booing] one of us stood up for consumers ad said we will not support disastrous bankruptcy bill. [cheers applause] representedidate the credit
Card Companies and voted for that disastrous bill. [boos] so here we are. We have two major goals in front of us and they are directly related. Beat a president who oppressed and has never read the constitution of the
United States. [cheers and applause] a president who thinks we should be on autocracy, not a democracy. [boos] second of all, we need a movement and are developing a black, white, latino, native american, asianamerican, gay and straight [cheers and applause] itpeople who are making clear every day, they will not tolerate the grotesque level of income and wealth inequality we are experiencing. You will not lower the tax rates of billionaires while millions of americans sleep on the street. We will not allow 49 of all new income to go to the percent. What have our people are living paycheck to paycheck. [cheers and applause] now i dont know what will happen later tonight. We are doing well in texas right now. We won colorado. [applause] and i am cautiously optimistic that later in the evening, we can win the largest state in the country, the state of california. [applause] no matter what happens, if this campaign and i dont know what will happen, but if it comes down to be a campaign in which we have one candidate who is standing up for the working class and the middle class, we are going to win that election. [cheers and applause] candidatehave another who has received contributions from at least 60 billionaires, were going to win that election. [boos] and if there is another candidate in the race who is spending hundreds and hundreds of millions of dollars, were going to tell him, in america you cannot buy elections. [cheers and applause] so i am excited about where we are. We have come a long, long way. [applause] want to, once again thank the great state of vermont and all the people in , and not only for the victory you gave our movement tonight, but for the years and years of love and support you have given me and my family. [applause] so, vermont, from the bottom of my heart from the bottom of our hearts, thank you all very much. Lets go on to the white house thank you [cheers and applause] senator
Bernie Sanders at
Essex Junction, vermont, declaring victory. Winning in utah, his home state of vermont, and colorado. Based on exit poll numbers from fox news and other broadcast networks, past 11 00 in the east and 8 00 in california and on the west coast where the fox news decision desk is projecting
Bernie Sanders will win california, which of course is the biggest and delegaterich prize on this super tuesday. 414 delegates at stake. Question is does joe biden pick up enough to get a portion of those candidates . You want to win the states, but you need to win the delegates. The former
Vice President has one, most of the face in this super tuesday. Right now senator sanders is ahead. Lets look at numbers from massachusetts. Former
Vice President joe biden was just declared the winner, now with 66 of the vote in. From a
Vice President biden getting 34 compared to senator
Bernie Sanders at 27. 5 . Elizabeth warren coming in third at just over 20 . Also in maine, a state that has not yet in called, the latest numbers from the
Associated Press where joe biden continues to hold a narrow lead over
Bernie Sanders. A difference of about 500 votes between joe biden and
Bernie Sanders. If it holds true, the delegates will be split almost evenly between those two. Elizabeth warren coming in at 16. 1 . In texas, the other big prize. Senator sanders continues to hover at 28. 8 . Joe biden at 25. 6 . This race has not yet been called. Michael bloomberg in third at just under 18 . Finally in minnesota, a state that has been called for former
Vice President joe biden, getting 38 of the vote, sen. Sanders just over 30 and, senator warren at 16 point 1 16. 1 . The
New York Post with this as the
Bloomberg Campaign is now reassessing after a brutal super tuesday defeat. Not winning any of the states and in a few, picking up a handful of delegates. That is a story we will be following into the morning tomorrow. Former
Vice President joe biden is in los angeles for us each. He then heads for a speech. He then heads to mississippi for the weekend. Still no details on sanders schedule. From
North Carolina, good evening. Caller what
South Carolina and virginia had a republican primary today why did they not . What number the state parties decided not to hold a republican primary. President trump will pick up the delegates. It was a decision made by state political parties. Brian and
North Carolina. Digital today . Caller yes i did. Host who was your candidate . Caller
Bernie Sanders. Host he has been declared the winner in california and he is the ahead in texas. Caller i just saw that. Me and my wife are watching it closely right now hoping he pulls out a win. We expected on early part of the night to be rough. Were thinking he will do pretty well with the delegate counts tonight. Host thanks for the call. J in ohio is next caller i am a 62yearold widow and i voted i will not be voting yet, but i will be voting in the march 17 primary in ohio. I think joe biden is best qualified, the only candidate in my opinion that is going to protect
Social Security for all seniors, medicare, medicaid and obamacare. Has the right ideas, but i am wondering what planet he came from. Thanks, that is all i have to say. Host jj from ohio. A number of significant riemer is coming up in march, including in michigan at next week. Also georgia and florida coming up later. Lets look at the state won by former
Vice President joe biden, picking up a majority of the state. Needed to get are on the nomination on the first valid. Alabama, arkansas,
North Carolina and oklahoma are among the states for joe biden as well as virginia, tennessee, minnesota and massachusetts. For senator
Bernie Sanders, colorado, vermont, utah and california, though some voting is still going on in parts of california, especially los angeles because of the long lines. Also some long lines in texas as well. Brian from california, what was it like at the polling place today . And you vote did you vote . Caller i did vote. I voted by mail. My area does not have a polling station. They shut it down because there are so few people voting republican. That is how it is in california. I actually supported bernie 2050, andck in donated over 200 to him when i 2015. Democrat back in i saw that he was the one candidate who was saying how we cannot have open borders because it is a
Koch Brothers policy to have open borders and cheap labor and drive down wages with unlimited immigration. I really would like to speak to all democrats and ask, is this the best that we can do . Are we left with a party that all it can do is preach a mythology about russians stealing elections, or about ukrainian interference . Cant we talk about america . Irst steel that policy from donald trump . Illegalthe border to immigration . We are a country of laws. We know that unlimited immigration from anywhere drives down wages. Ourant higher wages for workers. This is something unions support. Cesar chavez in california fought for stopping illegal immigration. He literally went to the border with his
United Farm Workers Union members and fought illegal immigration. Cant the
Democrat Party love the country enough, love the citizens enough to support all the policies donald trump is supporting, but add to it medicareforall . Host brian, we believe that there. The headlines tonight include wins for
Vice President joe biden, but the big win tonight is for senator
Bernie Sanders in california. What we will not know tonight are the final delegate counts. California has absentee ballots. Based on the early numbers, an estimated 68 of california voters cast their ballots in advance of tonights voting. In some places including in the
Greater Los Angeles area, voting continues at this hour because of the long lines. Next from los angeles, what was it like at your polling place today, jenica . Caller i went early so i did not find any long lines today. I wanted to say, for those biden, howporters of disappointed i was to see and that menunable to know and women are created equal as it is stated in our declaration of independence. It was really sad to see that he could not recall that. That is not the first time she has slurred, or miscommunicated speech. I would like for people to think about his performances and how trump will most likely eat him party, that and have a just making fun of him. Bandwagons on a lot of what bernie has a ready at fourth and has been fighting has already put forth and has been fighting for since 2016. So i dont see biden as strong of a competitor. Host ok. Things for the call. Again, fox news is california for snyder
Bernie Sanders. He was in
Essex Junction, vermont tonight. The other story is the future of the
Bloomberg Campaign. Based on reporting from the
Associated Press and from a number of sources including the boston globe, the
New York Times and the
New York Post, the
Bloomberg Campaign is reassessing the future of his candidacy. He was in
West Palm Beach earlier today. More results from maine and texas, two races it to be called. According to the ap, biden is holding onto a narrow lead with about 60 of the vote in, closely followed behind by less than 1000 votes is senator
Bernie Sanders. Michael bloomberg coming in a distant fourth. In texas, secondbiggest rise tonight. Another race that has not yet been called. All the numbers are available at cspan. Org. Go to cspan. Org campaign2020. From california, good evening. Caller good evening. Yes, i am watching the news right now. I am for trump. I believe we should stop all these immigrants that come by the thousands and thousands, wanting us to support them. There was an attorney from pasadena, california that announced on the spanish station that any children from the immigrants would come into our country, would be able to get welfare. That is not fair, when we have so many of our service april and homeless, american homeless that help. Ore why should we support these other people and our people need help . Host thanks for the call. We go to salem, oregon on the democrats line. Caller how is it going . Host great. Caller i just wanted to call, you know, i think what trump has done is a joke. If anybody can get a high and with the are dealing with right now i am disappointed that bernie didnt win more states, but he won the ones that matter. He will be winning oregon in may and hopefully president in 2020. Host thank you. Michael is next from
North Carolina. Caller yes. I wanted to say that the charades they put on about the biden thing, with all the black voters in
South Carolina is not the truth. We think. We read and we look. We know the
Democratic Party, not to be rude or hateful, but immigration, that is just common sense. If you have not taken care of your people already, why would you invite others to come in on top of that . First take care of home, then open the borders. Trump is going to wipe us out again. Last time i voted for trump, for that very same reason. It is like you playing us for stupids. Why would we sit here and think you can let millions of people come in. You have not even taken care of people here. You are not addressing any of the problems we have. Biden, he does not have anything. He has not offered anything. It is about negotiating. He has not offered anything. What has he offered us . He is our friend . A friend of the neighborhood . That is crazy. It will not give us anything. It will not pay any bills. Host thank you for the call. Nina is next in atlanta, georgia, as we look at the scene in los angeles tonight for the
Biden Campaign. Go ahead, nina. Caller i am an independent from georgia. I am disappointed in the way things have turned out. I support
Bernie Sanders. I want trump voted out of office. I dont think joe biden can do it. Unfortunately, it seems like a repeat of four years ago when the
Democratic Party was trying to push out
Bernie Sanders. I think it is going to work out badly for them. I think a lot of voters will not turn out in the general election if they push
Bernie Sanders out. I dont agree with everything he stands for, but i think he is a better candidate than joe biden. There was a previous caller who said they felt like joe biden was not articulate. My husband and i have watched every debate and town hall, and we feel the same way. We dont think joe biden is going to be a what to take on donald trump. It is a shame that a lot of voices are going to be silenced because
Bernie Sanders is being pushed out by the establishment, by the mainstream media, because they are afraid of his policies. Host thank you for the call. This is a treat from cbs news. Fox news already declaring california for
Bernie Sanders. But according to cbs news, polls have closed and, based on their estimates, the race is leaning toward senator
Bernie Sanders. This is the biggest share of delegates, 415 in total. You probably saw earlier where launchingsters were toward the former
Vice President and his sister valerie and a wife, dr. Joe biden, blocking them, in the early part of the
Campaign Rally in los angeles. Simone sanders, spokesperson for the
Biden Campaign tweeted a nail. Ago i broke a she was one of the individuals who stopped anyone getting close to the former
Vice President. He does not have secret service protection, in fact, none of the candidates at the moment have secret service protection. That may change in the moments ahead. In
South Carolina, next caller. Go ahead, tyler. Caller yes. I think the
Democratic Party is a joke. Because they are willing to open the borders to more illegals. We cannot support. One of the democrats said he would take away illegals. And he is supporting bernie. Sanctuary cities, that is protecting the criminal, made law and order in america, not people that is crazy and wants to let criminals do away with incarceration like the democrats, who have said they will do. Host ok, we believe that there. Early look at numbers in california. Keep in mind, well over half the vote was absentee ballots so more numbers will trickle in overnight, tomorrow and into the week. With 1 reporting, senator
Bernie Sanders, who has been declared the winner by the
Associated Press, is confirmed with 28 of the vote. Michael bloomberg is coming in second at 21 . Joe biden right now third at 16 . Former mayor
Pete Buttigieg who dropped out of the race sunday but still on the ballot at, 10 . Again, early numbers from california. The
Associated Press declared
Bernie Sanders will win. Keep in mind, based on the proportion of the vote. It is not a winnertakeall. There are 415 delegates at stake in california. In minnesota, the race has been called for the former
Vice President , in part because of the endorsement of senator
Amy Klobuchar, getting 38 of the vote. That is with 77 of the vote in from minnesota. In utah, another state that
Bernie Sanders has won. He was declared the winner with more than half the vote in utah, followed by
Michael Bloomberg. Elizabeth warren coming in third. Joe biden a distant fourth. In colorado, another win for sanders, winning with 36 of the vote. Michael bloomberg coming in second, and from a
Vice President biden coming in third. Meghan is joining us from sandy, utah. Did you vote today . Caller i did. It was easy breezy. We got in and voted right away. I am a sanders supporter. I feel that he has not wavered in all these years. He is fair. He is standing up for what is right versus the popular. For me, he is really in touch with people in my age bracket, the future of america and the people of america. I am 35 myself. It feels like there needs to be some release for people graduating from college. It seems that taking forever, friends of mine, people i know, it is so hard for them to purchase a home with all this student debt,
People Living with longer. Rents i think he can offer some relief to people in my age bracket and help us stop living paycheck to paycheck, when people with respectable jobs, still needing to live a check to pay check. I think he can offer some reliefmayor pete . Host thank you for the call. Molly back to eating again, those protesters rushing through joe biden, yelling, let dairy die. I am guessing they are not from wisconsin. And another treat thing, what is
Elizabeth Warren doing . Getting whacked in massachusetts pause. Give her from florida, good evening. You have a primary coming up. Caller we do. I voted early for bernie. Host what are you hoping for . Caller i am hoping bernie will win. But florida is backward. Has the
Bernie Sanders broadest support of any candidate in either party. He has 8 million individual contributions, more than any campaign in u. S. History. Despicableis how the mainstream
Corporate Media is trying to get people to vote against their interest for somebody who preserves the status quo, which is screwing working people. Living wages, universal health care, a livable planet, all that stuff, those are all human rights. The rest of the developed countries in the world have them, and they are denying us them to protect corporate profits. Bernie is the one that will get us out of this mess. Host thank you for the call. A recap on how significant this race has changed the last couple of days. In three bidstime for the white house, from a
Vice President joe biden winning in
South Carolina, in large part thanks to the endorsement of jim clyburn. And tonight winning a majority of super tuesday states. Big question is who has won a majority of delegates, with sanders ahead in texas and has been declared a winner in california. We will get a breakdown of the california delegates. It probably will not come until later this week once all the votes are in. Bill joining us from virginia on the democrat line. Did you vote today . Caller yes. Host who was your candidate . Caller i voted for bloomberg. Host he is now reassessing his candidacy. Do you sense that he may drop out . Caller i feel that he probably will considering the amount of resources he flushed, especially into my state. No better than he did. I would say he probably will not continue. Host how significant was the first debate performance . You think it basically stalled his candidacy . Yes. R when i first saw that, i actually reevaluated my support for him, but after thinking it over, i was hoping i dont want to see the race go to a convention because of history, the ghostevery party to convention, usually they end up losing in the general election. I was hoping he would get some momentum going, but call. Thanks for the from the
Washington Post and the
Associated Press, the headline is that the
Bloomberg Campaign is reassessing the future of his candidacy, after spending well over half 1 billion, 500 million in three months. More results in california, where numbers continue to come in. A look from the
Associated Press. With 6 reporting, senator sanders again, declared the winner. What does it mean for the other candidates . Michael bloomberg is second at just under 20 . Former
Vice President joe biden is third at 17. 4 . If these early numbers hold,
Elizabeth Warren will not reach the 15 threshold, which means she will not get any delegates from california. Again, only 6 are reporting. Absentee ballots are yet to be counted. Texas, lets get the results from the
Associated Press. No winner yet, a close race between joe biden and bernie neckrs who are neck and in first and second. B
Ernie Sanders maintaining a lead, although he has lost a small percentage. Joe biden picking up a little bit, about 39 reporting. This is a
Significant Development for the former
Vice President , because, again, delegates are awarded a portion of the. Of the 228 awarded proportionally. Of the 228 delegates, they could easily be split evenly between the sanders and
Biden Campaigns. The next caller, you have a runoff in the
Senate Primaries between two candidates. Caller yes. We had an election today and i voted for bloomberg. I hope sessions does not win. Host ok, we will go to anna in youngstown, ohio. Caller go ahead i am a 20 oneyearold college student. I would like to urge all democratic voters to look into the policies of
Bernie Sanders, because i think there is a lot stress voting happening here and i dont think it is going the right way for the democrats. I think they will make the same mistake they made in 2016 with
Hillary Clinton. If people really read
Bernie Sanders policies, they can see why he invigorates a young voter base. It is important that you base, rate a young voter because i dont feel that young people will show out for joe biden as much will for
Bernie Sanders. I think young voters are going to be really important in this election, especially because we have four years to build that young voter base since 2016. Host anna, thank you. Where do you go to school . Caller
John Carroll University in cleveland. Host thank you for the phone call. From
President Trump the biggest loser tonight, he writes, by far, is mini
Michael Bloomberg. His
Political Consultants took him for a ride. 700 million washed down the drain, and he got nothing for it but the nickname mini mic and the complete instruction of his reputation. Way to go, mike. Former vicers and
President Joe Biden are not with about 40 of the vote now reporting. We go to lucy from paramount, california. Caller hi. I want to say that
Bernie Sanders is like the only progressive candidate that actually has a chance of winning this election. Politics has ancient and he is bought by big money. That is why he is supported in the media, wires
Bernie Sanders is whereas
Bernie Sanders is attacked viciously and they make up conspiracy theories about russian propaganda. Tryel like if they actually taking this election from
Bernie Sanders, it will go south once again like it did in 2016. Host thanks for the call. Judy in albany, georgia on the democrats line. What do you think . Caller i think people need to look at the policies for joe biden and
Bernie Sanders. I was leaning toward burning at first, but looking at his policies toward bernie at first, but i dont see how he will pay for free colleges. It is a great idea, but i need to see, how are you going to take care of all the things you promising us . I didnt see that with sanders. But biden, by him being a
Vice President , and working with obama, i feel that he will be a better candidate and he can beat donald trump, get him out of the office. I really think our young people really need to look at the policy and make sure it is feasible. People will tell you they can do everything, but when they get in office, they actually dont do anything. Go to congress. If he is not willing to work across the party lines, he is not going to get anything done. Host this tweet from a reporter, pointing out the obvious first letter
Elizabeth Warren, finishing a disappointing third in the democratic primary in her home state of massachusetts. Some significant wins for former
Vice President joe biden. In california. We know based on the results that senator
Bernie Sanders is the winner in the california primary. Coming in second is
Michael Bloomberg, followed by joe biden. The former
Vice President is third with 6 of the vote in. But he is holding on to a commanding lead and based on early projections. Sanders can put california in the win column for him along with your time colorado and his home state of vermont. Keeping an eye on main,e one of the closest races of the evening,. The two toptier candidates, joe biden and sanders are essentially tied at 33. 6 percent for both those candidates, followed by senator warren. You can see that from a
Vice President joe biden is leading by only a handful of votes. If this continues, the delegates will be split almost evenly between joe biden and sanders. In texas, 228 delegates at stake in texas. Senator sanders and from a
Vice President joe biden look at that, essentially tied as well, with 42 of the vote in. Senator sanders at 344,000 votes. 335,000hind him at votes is joe biden, a
Significant Development for the
Biden Campaign who is either hoping to win or at least pick up enough delegates texas. H sanders in callie from little rock, arkansas, good evening. Caller yes. Tonight when i went to vote, i had to show my i. D. I just hope i know that it is a law in arkansas, is just wish it was
United States law, that way any illegal could not go up and vote in california or wherever they are. I think you should have to show your i. D. To vote. I am on the trump train. Trump 2020.
