We need some more from the panhandle and i said without question and without any waste any weight, lets go. You never had it so easy in your life. And how into my office much is it going to cost . We had to override the staff a couple of times. We directed over half 1 million to fix the Herbert Hoover diked and lake okeechobee. Up good, mr. Mayor, we did a good job. Thisll now compete with project and we are way ahead. Think threehead, i years ahead of schedule from what the original time of completion was going to be. In particular, im happy with what weve done on lake okeechobee, i know it well. Everyone said that one couldnt be done. They said it would never happen and you will never get it funded, its a big deal. The tide will be gone. They have had all the problems with it. By the expanded funding everglades restoration by 50 compared to four years ago and i also want to thank the army corps of engineers for their thec44rk in reservoir, they are unbelievable. I said you could do it less expensive than that. The walls dont have to be seven feet thick, they can be like two feet thick. When the army corps of engineers do it, they do it right, thats one thing i can tell you. Betweenuilding the wall mexico and the United States, over 300 miles now a ball and thats a serious wall. That is a wall that is meant to last and meant to work. That will help revitalize the wetlands and the saint lucy and indian river lagoon. [applause] pretty good. We hit home with that today, i one. Have an important announcement. I do not know if it is bigger than the things we have already done. In a few moments, i will sign a president ial order extending the moratorium on offshore drilling off floridas gold coast and gulf coast and expanding it to Floridas Atlantic coast as well as the coast of georgia and South Carolina. This action follows close consultation with florida Governor Ron Desantis who has been unbelievable. It took you about two seconds to say you liked it. The governor of South Carolina, a great man, henry mcmaster. I also want to thank the governor of georgia, brian kemp, doing a fantastic job. Thanks to my administrations proAmerican Energy policies, we can take this step and the next step remaining the number one producer of oil and natural gas in the world, we are the largest producer in the world by far, and we are energy independent, which is nice. With fracking, the shale revolution, and the tremendous surge in American Energy production, we are showing we can create jobs, safeguard the environment, and keep Energy Prices low for america and for our citizens. You see that. You also see when you pump the gas into your car and paying sometimes a lot less than two dollars. Right . We are doing well. We got more than anybody ever thought possible, right . Incredible. The approach of biden and the left is the opposite. Their policies will destroy jobs, because Energy Prices to quadruple, skyrocket beyond belief and the environment will be badly hurt, if you go by that, badly, badly hurt, injured, permanently injured. They will take away our Energy Independence and they will do it quickly and we wont even know what happened. We are dealing. They know exactly what to do and they do not like it when we are energy independent. So it has been a really amazing thing for florida from the environmental standpoint and i have to tell you from the energy standpoint and from a very important level of cost, level of cost with electric and so many things created by energy and fuel, the likes of which you have not seen in 30 years. As president i will defend our , environment and way of life. Last month i signed to great the Great American outdoors asked, a significant investment in our National Parks in over a century since Teddy Roosevelt. [applause] senators came to my office, they said this will make you the number one environmental president since Teddy Roosevelt. I said that sounds good. I was not going to do it. I was like, let us not do it. But they said it and it was a challenge. So i said, why does it only have to go back to Teddy Roosevelt . Why cant we say from george washington, right from the beginning . They said we are not there yet but one more bill like this, and we will be there, right . Its true. Number one since Teddy Roosevelt. Trump is the great environmentalist. You hear that . [applause] you hear that . I am. Its true. I believe wrongly in it we are providing nearly 10 billion a delayed maintenance project at our National Parks and florida has helped as much as anyone and may be more. My administration has cleaned up 61 pollution site that were all over our country, far more than obama and biden, no matter how far you go back, more than any administration. Since my inauguration we have , recovered more endangered species than any other administration has accomplished in their first term. Earlier this year, i announced to the United States would join the one trillion trees initiative. One Million Trees pledged to be planted and it is moving rapidly. Weve expanded access to over acres of public and lands for 4 million hunting and fishing and 200,000 acres in florida. My sons will be very happy to hear that. [applause] the last administration was everywhere but here in our country. They were taking care of other land. Countries you have never heard of they were taking care of. And they did not do a good job. They neglected the fundamentals of Public Health care in the United States and in our home. My administration is focused on ensuring clean air and water. Under my administration we have seen a significant drop in air pollution since 2016. Since 2017 stop for the first time in nearly 30 years we are , strengthening standards to prevent Vulnerable Children from being exposed, including in being exposed to lead and copper in Drinking Water including in schools, they were , exposed to lead and copper in Drinking Water. We have invested over 38 million in Drinking Water structure to care for our children. 38 billion in Drinking Water structure to care for our children. I am committed to ensure the u. S. Has the cleanest air and water. The contrast between this vision and the left has never been more clear. They talk a big game and do nothing. They talk. Thats really what it is. They talk. And talk. And talk. Nothing happens. Its all talk. It is all words and no action. Political opponents is an excuse to advance a socialist left forearm that will send our jobs a socialist platform that will impose trillions and trillions of dollars in new taxes and send our jobs overseas, make it impossible to open new companies and live less expensively. Your energy costs would be 10 times more expensive. Really you would not even have energy. To my admin is environmental to my Administration Environmental Protection is a , sacred obligation and it is our duty to fight for the dreams and livelihood of the citizens we serve and to the citizens of florida that i know so well, this is my home, this is my home. [applause] we are rapidly restoring the greatest economy in history. We created the greatest economy in the history of the country and we had to close it up when the plague came. When the china plague came. We saved millions of lives. We banned infected china from coming in. It was highly infected. The people were highly infected. We banned them. Everybody said i shouldnt do it. Biden said dont do it and three month later he admitted i was right we would have lost. We would have lost hundreds of thousands of more. We would have lost millions if we did not close it up and now we are opening it up and we are setting records at every level. We are maintaining the pristine resource of beautiful Clean Environment and every community in florida and around the country, we will always defend the everglades and safeguard the coastline. We will expand access for fishermen and uphold the right to hunt and protect your right to keep and bear arms, your Second Amendment. [applause] i can tell you if joe biden gets in, your Second Amendment is gone. If joe have nothing biden gets in, your Second Amendment is gone. It is gone. Either obliterated to appoint of being gone or gone. You will not have a Second Amendment. The pressure put on me in the last four years to make massive changes for the Second Amendment, which would have really rendered it worthless. Ron knows. The pressure put on me, very few people would have been able to withstand that pressure. They would have cuts and big changes. Your Second Amendment will will remain strong will remain , with you. Reassure our political are critical supply chains and we will bring back jobs in factories from china and foreign polluters in everything we do will be guided by the love of this state from its beaches to the marshes, the beautiful marshes, there is no place on earth like florida. Things that were built a long time ago that were in a state of disrepair you wouldnt believe.
