Ive a message for him specifically, i worked on the nixon impeachment years ago and it took the house eight, ten months to get through the investigation before they even got ready to go to the senate. And when impeachment is voted by the house and goes to the senate the house of points six prosecutors to handle it and then make the rules. Mitch mcconnell does not make the rules, so those people who think as soon as it goes to the senate he can call and get the criminal ran through, that is not true. If the house and the senate take as long as they did then this thing would not be over until after the election. Meanwhile cold hard facts, trumps enemies, cold hard facts from evidence under oath will have been hammered out in the proceedings and i think its a nightmare for donald trump and he has no way of stopping it before the election. Working with republicans in congress, we slashed 30000 pages of regulations from the federal government. You talk to Small Businessmen and women in this country over the last eight or nine years, they have been more burdened by government regulations than they have taxes. So it is a balance, we want to be good stewards of the environment, we want to acknowledge the Climate Change exist, my party too many people thinks its a hoax. But dont forget about the Small Business men and women all over the country who have been unduly burdened by government regulations over the years. We are trying to find a balance, has trump gone too far, yeah, because with everything he goes too far. Thank you. Once upon a time, it feels like a long time ago, republicans used to care about fiscal conservatism. The used to care about the u. S. Budget deficit which is how much more expensive than it takes in revenue. Under President Trump it has exploded to over a trillion dollars. Congressman, i thought you were a deficit talk, thats how you came into congress. Nothing disappoints me more than this. This is why i went to congress eight years ago, because future generations, we are bankrupting future generations and both parties do. When obama was president , all of us republicans screamed and howled every day and increasing the deficits. She is right he is actually increase the debt faster than a barack obama. Trump has increased our deficits faster than obama has. But all of my former t party colleagues, what do we hear from them, not a damn thing. One more example of the Republican Party faces trump and they forgot about every issue that they claimed to believe them. My motto when i was in office, no such thing as government money. There is only taxpayer money. Has everyone forgotten about that. Not just donald trump, there is nobody looking out for the taxpayers. The dems want to read spending by 5 10 . So they demonize each other to get reelected and then clear a special meeting to smoke the peace pipe and compromise by raising everything 20 . Its a total disgrace and trump has reset faster than anyone else. He hit a trillion dollars a month ten, he added 9 trillion. Were duke make the tax cut . Gifted zerobased budget and not assume you start with last years of procreation. You have to measure outcomes instead of input which is how much money was spent last year. That should be irrelevant, a good program, if it wasnt 0 it out. Lynette, just to add on to what the governor said. We should not have been a tax cut for the wealthy which is primarily what his tax cut was. It shouldve been a payroll tax cut that they would have felt. But the governor is right, the republicans and democrats do not get this, we have a spending problem in both parties like to spend a lot of money. If you listen to the democrats will spend a lot of time romping on trump, if you look at them all genuine and a lot of good things that they want to do but they never talk about how much these things will cost. I will give you another 30 seconds. In terms of cutting the budget, this builds on what i did in office. Lets say you have a Preventive Health program which avoids a lot of bad outcomes and delivery scripts, you might multiply that by ten. But if you have a bureaucracy that nobody can quite tell you where it came from, probably a relationship between some long dead u. S. Senator and equally long dead share ways and means, you cut that to 0 and thats where the big money is in you have to have the political will to do that and not say there is sacred cows in the budget. No more sacred cow. Business investment is down, manufacturing is in a slump and Central Banks around the world are preparing for an economic slowdown, we in the United States have cut taxes in President Trump has pushed the reserve to lower interest rates. So, how do you get the country on the right financial footing within the first 100 days, what policies do you enact . I would stop to inform policy and foreign economic measures with taxes and putting sanctions on everybody and terrorists. The president says im a tariff man, its an emblem of how ignorant he is and Foreign Policy. We tried tariffs in 1930s and they greatly deepened the great recession. And he thinks when he stopped the tariff on china it is paid for china and beijing. It is not. Its paid by American Farmers or american businesses who need to import something from china that contains steel or aluminum and Everybody Knows it. Mr. Trump thinks if its made in north america its made by the United States or mexico. He does not understand that the average car made in north america travels across the usmexico border 22 times because depending on the weight scale. Everybody makes out better with freetrade in the United States always makes out best because we have the highest productivity per worker. We get the high wage jobs. Thank you governor. I will say too much tonight in my Campaign Manager will scold me tonight because i will say too much that its not about the issues, its about trump, if you talk to anybody in the Business Community right now, investors, Small Business men and women, they dont know what he is doing from hour to hour, this uncertainty that this president has unleashed, he wakes up every morning and you dont know who he will attack with a tweet or what private business he will go after. The uncertainty, hour by hour where the heck is this president going has everybody in the Business Community on edge and theyre not investing and not hiring, this is where the slowdown is coming from a long with the governor said, the tears are beginning to have an impact on the country and in the first 100 days they would get rid of the tariffs it would not tweet crazy crab every morning.
