[inaudible conversations]on [inaudible conversations] center, welcome. Its really good to be. Again that this is an incredible american tradition on both sides of the 07 expense like this ant im just grateful for the afternoon to talk about the values i think a most important in this country right now which will ultimately undergird our ability to do very good things. If we cant find ways to bring us together and realize the line that divide us are not as strong as a tides that bind us. We need to Start Building a a w american majority to do those things. Obviously news broke while i was speaking and i have just had three minutes toes read through some top lines and so my Immediate Reaction is that these revelations within the whistleblower report are explosive. They are deeply sobering and should i think the emotion of the right now is a sad day for america. That we would see a president of the United States in the highest office of the land so raleigh uses power not for nationals could become not for the strength of our economy cannot defend the nation, under attack by the russians but which seek to withhold Critical Resources in order to further his own personal political agenda. This is despicable behavior as a place and we are seeing evidence of that in this whistleblower report. Clearly there is more work to be done. There needs to be a a thorough investigation and i think it is fully appropriate to nancy pelosi has engaged in impeachment inquiry. It gives us the best leverage to get to the truth and every american right now with this storm cloud hanging over this why does come, every american deserves to know the truth of what happened. We see thisll start putting out inhouse. How did you see this play out in the senate . The senate will investigate as well. We have an obligation to do that. This is a president that is violating the constitution of which all 100 senators took and oath to defend and protect the constitution. s theres already been shown some good bipartisan efforts to get out the truth and and i believw even with thiss whistleblower report we still are only scratching at the surface of what went on, who was responsible and the efforts already that we see in the whistleblower report, extraordinary efforts to cover up what people knew u was wrong doing. They are saying no big deal. [inaudible] look, this is a time in america that does not call for partisanship. Creflexive partisanship where t is our team versus there. They should be everybody saying the truth of what this is, if it has damning implications, at the very least all of us, senators, congresspeople, american citizens should be asking lets get to the truth before firm definitive conclusion. We swore an oath too do that. We swore an oath to uphold the cost of tuition. This looks like a president was abusing his office, trashing the constitution and putting this nation at risk. Lets continue the investigation and not rush to sit through partisan lens. Lets see thisgh through a patriotic lens and to w what we needha to make sure to ensure te highest land of this office is not engaging despicable behavior unbecoming of that office. This is a different moment from the end of the russian desiccation from the list of the mueller report. How did they convince the public about the democrats, the Party Overall convince republicans this is a different moment. This is different moment. When allegations cannot against Richard Nixon people fell into partisan camps but as more and more truth came out, more republicans of good conscience gatefold and said enough, enough. Party be damned, what the political outcome might be be damned but were going to do whats right for america. We cannot have a nation where our president is running around using the power, not his power, but the power of this country, the power we instill an office to violate our values come to violate National Security, to pursue their own wealth or political advantage. That is so contrary to who we are. If we do not stop that it is the horrific corrupting moment in our country. We should respond with the united course of conviction. Let us get to the truth and act accordingly. C is this a game changer . Im feeling confident now there is clearly evidenced just like impeachment inquiry justifies a continued efforts of cogs to get to the truth. Our founders saw moments like this, they designed a constitution which the congress provides a check and balance to the presidency. Congress providess oversight to the administration. This is a moment where we should be doing our job. Theres enough smoke here that speaks to an inferno of the fiber we need to move forward with this investigation. You said earlier inn her remarks that you want the election to be about more than just one man, trump. But with this impeachment inquiry how ish it going to be about anything other than trump for the next couple of months . You know this can walk around this country. People are concerned about the cost of the prescription drugs. People are concerned about the shootings going on in this nation. Americans are far more sophisticated. We can deal with multiple issues at the same time. We are in a constitutionally challenging moment with the presence at the United States is in peril because of corruption. We could also do with other issues. The first primary of the country is months and months away. Where a lot of time to deal with this. Americans want comeht first of l honesty and integrity in their government. People looked him in the eye and say were going to fight for you, not your personal political agenda like seems like this president is going to. The last thing i will say is its about a lot more than just one guy but it is also about that one guy. But you know what . In my community with our shootings, child poverty, they just shouldnt be, we have to make sure we do not just make this election about what we are against it with got to Start Talking about what we are for and thats why im running for office because i am for having every americans have health coverage. I for ending the scourge of gun violence in the country. C i am for having an economy where somebody works, they get a fair wage and debris can retire with security. Thats always been essential to campaigns. These issues will play out hardly comes to the primary season coming up. Some of your rivals thank senators harris, bennett, they are camping out in iowa. I you going to be do Something Like that here . Is that a right strategy for them to concentrate onn one state . We have had well over defense, multiple visits. I visited every count industry. Granite staters should know that im coming here tog win and the making massive investment. If youin just look at the percentage of our resource of investing in this campaign, they are extraordinary. I i hear, i dont believe in ths id cant compete you. We have people in the race or neighboring states. No, i believe if i put my message, my heart in spite of folks at people will be able to make a good decision and we will win. Im looking forward to competing card in New Hampshire. [inaudible] they should take it really seriously. Please, everybody,. Is this just to raise money . No. Both. Look, this goes to the question you asked. I am a competitive. I play to win. Ifo the snow we doing in this election, why should i be in a . So far weve been building an election to win and a proud of what weve done here. We lead the state of New Hampshire in endorsement from local officials, state reps and state senators as well as local elected officials. We got to a point where we saw candidates were raising multiples of what we were racing, 100 name recognition and we were not going to be able to stay in competition unless we raise significant money. I told theti truth. If we couldnt raise 1. 7 billion by monday we would have to think hard about getting out of this race and it would likely be that. We put the collar to america and i want to say thank you. Because people have responded all over the nation go to corybooker. Com. Some people saying we want to keep your voice in this race. We still have about four half days to go. If you want my post in this race, if you believe that i should be on that debate stage, if you believe the values and the virtues and the ideas im bringing on that importance nationaly conversation, please o to corybooker. Com and get three dollars, four dollars because if we dont meet our goal im likely not good in this race. Thank you, thank you. Weve got to go. Thank you. One is the possibility limited though it may be of regime change in north korea. As i told my counterpartsboth friend and foe it is not unimaginable to have military options to respond to north Koreas Nuclear capability.
