CSPAN2 After Words Michelle Malkin Open Borders Inc. July 13, 2024

Interviewing top nonfiction authors about their latest work. Great to be with you, i want to get ready to talk about your book, open borders inc. Thinking. First rtf your book capture my attention because something being a congress of texas, the operational control over border, ive been to the border number under numerous times, the 2 million a week that was moving people crossed, you know this well, its a real problem, theyre the ones profiteering on the back of migrants and women and children, can you talk about that, one of the opening points you make in your great put enter book. The work that you are doing is so important to enlighten the American Public about the cartel having at the border in the horrifying and appalling impact that has two innocent people on both sides of the border, one of the things that i think is really important to illuminate in chapter one of the book, what i call as a caravan cartel, the drug cartel cannot do it alone in its shocking that not that you have conspiratorial out there making billions of dollars in profit and endangering lives in wreaking violence and havoc on innocent families and children. And the fact that you have charities your religious organizations and they think theyre doing good deeds, and the kind of roads with good intentions, but religious organizations on both sides of the border that are doing service and enabling the drug cartel to make as much cash as they do. We have seen the illegal alien caravan come across from Central America to mexico into your state and beyond. And the support money that is subsidizing this entire illegal alien Children Network especially childre churchgoers n america is coming from their own pockets, they think it is helping their neighbors in helping Homeless People in their communities but in many ways it is going straight to that network and i name many of the shelters from Central America all the way into the interior of the United States that are being subsidized by the catholic church. And every in. And with nongovernmental organizations like doctors without orders that are creating those magnets and the factors that the drug cartel then exploits. You are making a great point, what i would love to explore a little bit further is the extent to which there is a cycle of human smuggling. In the extent to which cartels are at the central operational control of the cycle and to your point, how it works. A lot of people do not understand the extent to which you have people who are being driven up from countries by cartels and a list of organizations, one report i saw was 2 billion for cartels for the profit they were making moving people, not narcotics but people to get across the country. And the way they do it is by exploiting the law and then the asylum laws and catch and release situation, i know you know a lot about. Theyve come across the border and what you find, evil or being brought our cost, go straight to a process by Border Patrol and get walked straight to an ngo to get distributed into the country in all of this is completing the cycle of smuggling. Can you talk about that and the exportation of our laws and havoc comes together . The question hits the nail on the head. Because your average news consumer, even if they are fairly wellinformed, they have the impression that the people at the border are trying to evade and you know that is not true. They are right up to the station because they have been coached, not just like along the route but of course the hearing on the radio in their own countries, the word spreads very fast and quickly and we know now, in your state that its not just Central America, all the african migrants as well have been coached and i think that is alarming and that these people around the world are far more informed about Immigration Laws and all the ins and outs in the nuts and bolts and how to work around the loopholes and in many cases its not loopholes is how it works. And then the American People are about the rules and laws on her books that are supposed to protect us. So you have the illegal alien parents that are already here, maybe they have tempered protective status 25 years ago when there was an earthquake in el salvador, is never temporary in the world of open borders. Or they have extended relatives and then they have the children back home that they pay a coyote to bring across and the coyote pays the drug cartels and give them a final passage in everybodys making money and then you have ngos as you mentioned who get their own cut of the profit. I think what is most offensive to people who really understand the way thathis works, and in essence is a global human smuggling racket and they get to operate under an umbrella of compassion while they accuse all the rest of us of being racist, heartless, whatever. The question always comes up about who we are, the untrained they wrap themselves in the mantle of the flag and the statue of liberty which last time i checked was not in the constitution of the United States or any of the u. S. Codes that deal with Immigration Law and has been exulted as such. And even if you look at the statue of liberty, liberty enlightening, not liberty absorbing into the entire world. I think you raise a lot of important points, before i moved to one different topic i want to close the loop on the consequences. You mention the humanitarian reality of what were dealing with, the impact on american citizens, endangerment, Jeremy Vargas was murdered last summer and thankfully the perpetrated the crime with an illegal immigrant was caught and released and just prosecuted for that and fnduilty. This is a reality in america with her meet and work in citizens, also the migrants come here who are abud, the women, children while these illicit ilLegal Organizations profit. And then you say compassion, to me this is the false name of compassion that open borders is good for migrants. It is completely backwards, it is empowering ilLegal Organizations. And you talk about these things in your book and i would love to hear your point on that before we move on to a different chapter. I agree with you, the massive systemic expectation of people who want what we all want, it breaks my heart and the numbe of ponds in this inhumane game of open borders inc. Is incalculable and the fact that it does not to stop at the border, i live in the d. C. Swamp area and Montgomery County which is prided itself on being illegal alien sinks were based and when i left 11 years ago you could already see the signs of ms 13 taking over the public schools, taking over the local malls and metastasizing got worse. Its incredibly important to point out is not just american citizens that are victims of these crimes, it is largely other members of the migrant communities who are being victimized, raped and murdered. Thank you for making a point. We want to get to the next topic which really caught my eye. Im going to Say Something that will shock you in the viewers, i am a bald white guy. And in chapter four of your book, it was titled the southern poverty and you had the exact quote without getting into the weeds, you identify yourself as quoting nonwhite brown skinned daughter, a Filipino Catholic immigrants, the wife of a grandson of ukrainian jewish migrant, the mother of multiracial multiethnic children. And then you pointed out the things you are not, xena phobic, racist, white supremacist. These are always the charges. I just want to hear some of my democrat colleagues who is a lifetime Law Enforcement officer defending our borders and enforcing our laws, they call him a bigot. You see this all the time, can you speak to that from your perspective of what you want in your life and why you take offense that question were. I want to go back to my very first appearance on cspan in 2002 when i came up with my very first book invasion, it was on the first Year Anniversary of september 11 terrorist act, we are talking to each other on the 18th anniversary of those attacks and it was because of the love of country that might immigrant nationalized American Parents inculcated in me that they will need to write the book and now, 17 years later coming back to this topic and really the global financing of this immigration chaos, the idea that you have an entire infrastructure that is hellbent on smearing every immration enforcement advocate, every group out there that does the research and tells the truth on our culture, schools and public, Health System and welfare, let alone national security, it is really daunting because you realize these are not just random people out there tossing out smears. It is very well orchestrated and very wellfunded. In large part, it is coming from groups that enjoy taxexempt nonprofit status. So the chapter that i wrote on Southern Poverty Law Center starts out the way that you read because i encountered the smear machine very early on and now everybody is aware with the large number of prominent conservatives, independent trumps supporters and other organizations that have found success on the internet, but very early on it was immigration that motivated groups like the national council, the Antidefamation League and a number of subgroups under the umbrella of open Society Foundation to come up with their own guidebook, a book of code words that youre not allowed to use and for me in 2006 and 2007, there was a video that had attacked me for talking about the concept, the idea that demographically and many of the open Border Forces were able to overwhelm cities that they would amass electoral power, you have to look at the numbers and see what is happening but to be able to talk about it without being labeled a conspiracy theorist is nearly impossible these days. And it can certainly help the sdlc which is a highly discredited organization that even mainstream liberals in magazines like the alien take have completely exposed, now you have internal whistleblowers talked about harassment and Racial Discrimination within the organization, the poverty should no longer be quoted by mainstream Needy Organization and cnn in the Washington Post continue to confer upon it and authority to judge you as a white supremacist even if they had a brown skin as i do. I wonder, you spent a lot of time at the southern border and i have as well in the district i represent, out of san antonio the hill country, which is about 100 miles from rio grande along the laredo sector. I spent a lot of time in laredo and you have two. He i have many times. You been to the border texas, mexico, california, i wonder if your perspective is the same as mine, it is often brought out the charge that there is a racist of believing and Border Security. I have two thoughts on that, one, look at the brave men and women on Border Patrol who are overwhelmed and have one agent who is on diaper patrol instead of Border Patrol because are so overwhelmed and other agents are in the sector were the only have three guys and gals on the line trying to protect a 70mile stretch. In a 2mile stretch of 70 miles where you could drive a car alongside of the river. But you cannot see the river through the king come you dont have a radio signal or a sell signal. Were asking them to do the impossible. The majority of the Border Patrol officers i engaged with, i believe its assistance to cool truth, they are hispanic, hispanic americans who believe that border is part of our sovereignty, the rule of law matters, thats why people seek to come here, the second point is, with respect to the racist charge, how is it good for people of any color to be abused on a journey coming here and have open borders that empowers the very Legal Organization we discussed earlier in the show and how is that a good thing from a race standpoint . On the first point i absolutely agree. I cut my teeth in newspaper journalism in los angeles in the early 1990s, not only did i report on the perspective of american citizens and lawabiding immigrants who were Early Warning about immigration chaos in that state and trying to take control of it back then. But of course i started building up many sources both and Border Patrol and ice. Then i moved up to Seattle Times and was able to see the perspective of Border Patrol agents in deportation and removal ofcers who worked on the northern part of the border. We spent so much time talking about the southern border but neglect that the northern border especially when you have canadian governments and power who see themselves as doormats for the world and in large part islamic extremist groups that can go across the northern border because orange rubber cones, its alarming and they been under siege for a long time. Congress in washington swamp always pay service to wanting to fund them more, increase their ranks but they have been purposely turned into a diaper patrol because too many special interest do not want them to do their job effectively in another important point, these border were taught agents come from all backgrounds. And they have all colors, brown, white, black, yellow, many of course in the southern border sectors our families that come from lawabiding hispanic families themselves. In colorado i adopted home state, i visited aurora facility in the ice agent facility that work there from the private contractor, many of them are proud and recently naturalized americans who understand that to preserve the special gift of being able to become an american, you need an orderly system that is able to vent properly and decide who we want to let in who should stay here and how we should remove the people who do not longer in the first place. I was about to move to business and your open border inc. But i cannot resist commenting on the worst situation. You remember in colorado, i sell you the weekend that a group of folks stormed the facility into the American Flag upside down and put abolish ice on it and raise the mexican flag. I went to that facility that saturday morning the day after that occurred. I went in there and i found 1200 people i found tv, ipads, three square meals a day, i found internet access, jims, heres the interesting point, there were people in that facility in 57 countries around the world, pakistan, india, indonesia, this is not just a northern triangle and problems in respect to mexico is it . No it is worldwide, i remember when you tweeted the picture of you outside the work facility it inspired me too do more in my own home state and not long after labor day and we recently had a stand with ice rally that 200 people on a holiday, there is a hunger and thirst among ordinary citizens to show their support in a way that has not been on until now. With so many of the ice facilities under siege and being lied with the agency and harassed, i talk about in the book in chapter five abolish ice and into for anarchy. This is well subsidized and underwritten by forces that are hostile to american sovereignty and its very important for people to know what actually is going on in the facilities. In the tour that i took in you took, i was stunned on congressman to find out among the many amenities that you listed and on top of that, you have detainees, many still ali criminal aliens who have free access to nexus, telepsychology appointments, ive been to the christian facilities that dont have a fraction of these amenities. And if you believe the hysteria driven in the beltway, they are on the order of concentration camps from world war ii. This is absolutely ridiculous. More disturbingly, and the incitement to violence is not just some sort of speculation. And you would think with all of the targets that have now faced shootings, like the shots were fired in san antonio, the cocktail throwing at the cis office in florida and obviously attacked by nt for in tacoma. If the ideological were focused on the other side this would be an epidemic in congressional hearings. You make a great point, ill add one more point, the ice facilities, one consequence of the massive influx, the almost 900,000 people who have been apprehended last october 1, 600,000 of them have been caught and released. But a huge number we have to find a place to put them, where are they going, theyre going to ice facilities, when i was at a facility in aurora, 80 of the 1200 are people who come across the southern border recently. What does that mean . To your point about criminals, not being able to do as much interior enforcement because you have a place to put them. By interior enforcement as you know, were talking about hardened criminals and dangerous people engaging in assault or murder or a whatever it might be. And i met a tougher time doing a jump because theyre all overwhelmed, ice is overwhelmed. I wish we could shout it to the rooftop, the problem is when we talk about the policy consequences, these are hidden costs, it is not like a viral photo of sanchez that you can photoshop onto a time cover. And the left exploits this ability to tell the stories, but we cannot tell the stories of the hidden impact of other types of victims of crimes that we cannot know about in the displacement in places like the ice facility of repeat aliens like you say with the people who are search across the border and enable by the network that ive exposed. I moved away from Montgomery County to colorado again i was escaping it for Everyday Americans across the country, there is no safe place from open border. You could not be more right, the mayor of a small town in san antonio came up and did a press conference because
