I just want to say you been a special friend to israel nobody is closer. Please come up. [applause] have you ever been in second place . Not too often. While you are here we can learn from him he is a champ and a winner if youd like to say a few words. Thank you mister president im honored to be here at this time with this event because this is a bipartisan issue in previous administrations have tried to do something in this area and we know College Campus is a place where you include people and have education and not something that is exclusive. And a place that generates hatred. I am so proud this is bipartisan my wife would be smiling now because she loved America First and israel and wanted to build bridges in this more than anything. And express my appreciation to the ambassador into a friend of mine. So as we gather this afternoon grieving families in new jersey opened fire at the kosher supermarket killing for innocent souls including a Police Officer who face down the shooter very bravely. And weeping for those lives lost with one voice and wherever antisemitism appears we are working very hard on that. We have a lot of people in government working very hard we appreciate their work. Joining us on stage army veteran stuart and Jonathan Moore alice. But as you remember and when a killer opened fire at the synagogue robert i see you right here what a tremendous man you are. Were so many great faith leaders want to thank you for being here. Its fantastic. The race toward the gallant one the gunfire saved lives responding to the worst evil with the best valor we celebrate the miracle of hanukkah more than 2000 years ago a ruthless time and persecuted the jewish people and desecrated the temple of jerusalem but a group of jewish patriots with a powerful army to worship god in freedom and then i received a remarkable letter from a boy named austin from San Francisco and then summed up the meaning of hanukkah it is a tradition to light the menorah and place it by the window and we do this to exemplify how we are not afraid to show who we are or what we believe in and he asked if he could celebrate hanukkah with my family at the white house in this year we are thrilled to let you know that austin is with us today. Where is austin . [applause] come on up. A good looking guy. Dont be shy. Its only bob. [laughter] come on oscar. Thank you for having me at the white house today this is very unexpected my mom told me at a school. The white house called i was in the middle of lunch. [laughter] probably one of the first times i was ever speechless. Thank you for having me here. [laughter] [applause] good job oscar. He didnt know i was going to do that. You did a good job. I take you by surprise a little bit. Stand with the first lady. [laughter] you know bob kraft and everybody else. And your yarmulke. Can i have that the jewishamerican strength to inspire the nation i will always honor the jewish people and stand with our friend in israel. Two years ago i recognize that your capital of israel and we open the American Embassy in jerusalem. [applause] anywhere from 1,000,000,002,000,000,000 we god building in beautiful shape and the best location there is and we got it done we got it open in four months and we dont know the more extent the expensive version but you cant get much better we have the best location they wanted me to side in order between 1,000,002,000,000,000 for a piece of land but they said land in jerusalem is very rare in exclusive i said i think we have a piece are great ambassador did a fantastic job. Said they want to spend 2 billion go check it out we can do it for about may be 300,000 so we will save a billion dollars with the new location and it has been open now for a long time. Friends of mine like jerusalem stoned. But i also recognize israels sovereignty over golan heights. [cheers and applause] and in terms of them to become the capital of israel looking to do over 52 years theyve been having meetings. Which is bigger because what you did by terminating the iran nuclear deal. [cheers and applause] and i agree with that. But then another historic action and then to combat anti semitism. This makes clear that title vi of the Civil Rights Act which is a federal funding of universities and other institutions that engage in discrimination to institutions that traffic and anti semitic hate. [cheers and applause] this is a very powerful document we are signing today. They had almost universal support but they did not get it done this is gone on for years and years but there was always a roadblock. Because im doing it myself. [applause] this is our message to universities if you want to accept the amount of federal dollars you get every year you must reject antisemitism. [applause] my administration will never tolerate the suppression and persecution or silencing of the jewish people also making a firm stand against the divestments and sanctions movement. And i have to tell you jared and ivanka have been talking to me about this for three years but that something we could do about it in this position. Otherwise we are just like you. And with the administration. And with this antisemitic campaign with the state of israel we are honored to be joined by the survivor of the nazi holocaust the darkest chapter of human history. With the Manufacturing Business now the awardwinning and is going strong at the age of 102. And you fill our hearts and the millions of jews with persecution that never again. Never again. Today we thank god for the jewish people whose love and loyalty and resiliency spirit and strength bless america and the world and now jonathan will light the menorah. [applause] this is a great moment. So the scripture teaches us to conquer the land of israel to say leave if you are afraid. Because you are afraid to leave because god was fighting for them. So you have no faith in god will today stand with a group of people who have their faith in god we are all different faith and we are all here with one thing in mind too and hate. This is a momentous moment in my life i want to thank the president and the first lady for everything they have done for israel and america. America is a nation whatever religion you practice we are all americans we love each other and that will conquer hate. We are deeply honored. Alan dershowitz. And i would like my friends the ambassadors to come appear. Some of them have been very kind all of them have been very kind weve never had such evangelical christian support. Come on up the other that does such a good job legally to make sure all of this happens Robert Jefferson i watch him on different shows and say i like that guy. He talks great about me and i like people that talk well about me. Said he may not be the greatest christian ever. He may not know the bible quite as well as the rest of us he may not know it very well at all. [laughter] that he is a real leader. I appreciated that statement at enough i should have that i did but we made more progress getting rid of the Johnson Amendment which was a disaster so can you say a couple of words i would also ask alan to say a few words. [applause] donald trump is the most pro faith president in history. [cheers and applause] for people of all faith. Mister president jewish and christian believers a life believe that god said to abraham genesis 12 god will bless those who bless israel and curse those who curse israel. Went to thank you for the president who has the courage when it comes to israel on the right side of history and on the right side of god and you will not fail and we will stand by 100 percent. 465 of my 81 years i have spent universities all over the world there is no more important event in those 65 years to turn universities away from being bastions of hatred and discrimination and this executive order signed today. It is a game changer. It will go down in history as one of the most important events in a 2000 year battle against antisemitism. Thank you mister president you did a great job to the people who helped you do this to do a great great job you will be remembered of all time. Thank you. [inaudible conversations] [applause] [applause] thank you to President Trump and to see what the president accomplish it has been extraordinary. A lot of people werent sure that nobody with politics would do and i say all of our expectations have been greatly exceeded. [applause] and those economic miracles for the country and the president s commitment to keep america free to keep america respectful and work the president has done that will have an impact for generations to come.
