Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the next in library and welcome to this replica of the east room. Im a board member in the Nixon Foundation as grandson of the 30 seventh president Richard Nixon. It is my honor and pleasure to have you at the library and im glad to welcome you to the library. I see a lot of new faces in the crowd which makes me excited and i see a lot of young faces in the crowd meaning a lot of young conservatives. So that is great to see and i encourage all of you after the event to walk around the library, one of my Favorite Places for obvious reasons, one of my Favorite Places in the world, the birthplace is beautiful, weve done one of the exhibits in the library, a lot of new stuff to see and if you come back you can visit the archives and do research into my fathers presidency. I am happy to have you here today but of course tonight, today we will begin our program by honoring our nation as we always do. Will you please welcome our special guest today, charlie kirk. [applause] and ladies and gentlemen, please remain standing for all who can stand for the presentation of colors and the singing of our national anthem. And the rockets red glare the bombs bursting in air gave proof through the night that our flag was still a oh say does that starspangled banner yet wave over the land of the free and the home of the brave ladies and gentlemen, given other round of applause to Detroit High School Navy Honor Guard and villa Parks High School Jazz Ensemble for the beautiful tribute to our nation. So there are rare moments in life you realize how old you are getting. I have been coming here for decades and this is the first time i will be introducing someone who is significantly younger than i am. This is a new experience for me. Im very excited about that. We are very happy to have charlie kirk with us tonight, today. Hes a Great American and a great thinker, author, political figure if i call him that but it is an honor to have him here today, the founder of turningpoint usa. Im sure many of you are aware of it. I would call it the preeminent Educational Organization for our children today teaching children the values that made the United States great. [applause] that is what is so needed on our campuses today not just at the College Level but the High School Level and even the Elementary School level. That is the greatest danger to our country, what is happening in the School System and we need the voice of people like charlie kirk to show kids that there is another option than what is being taught in schools and that option is the right way to live the life the right way to support the country and that is what is so exciting to see people get involved and teach our kids about what is important about the conservative movement. That is why it is great to have charlie here today. When turning point was found that i was at the convention with charlie kirk, you should come to this meeting, we have a great meeting set up. Im interested in funding this organization, you should come with me. I have to do a couple other things. That shows why foster freeze is an essential billionaire and im where i am, he made a decision to back charlie. We are excited to have charlie, he will talk about his book the maga doctrine the only ideas that will win the future which not only is a great defense of Donald Trumps record of growing jobs, keeping the United States safe, he will be known as a Great Peacemaker around the world, great defense of that but not just the defense, the book is forwardlooking, the book says how the United States, people of the United States can defeat socialism that is growing too strong in the United States. [applause] this is what i admire most about charlie, not just policy descriptions. He weaves philosophy into this. He talks about edmund burke and makes references to edmund burke, one of my grandfathers Favorite Book, my Favorite Book the conservative mind, he also compares Kathy Griffin to the elites in rome who murdered cicero. This is heady stuff. That is a wonderful part of his book. On a personal level i was drawn to the parts of the book that talked about how donald trump has broken the stalemate between republican and democratic parties in washington, taken a sledgehammer to the elites that ran washington from both parties. And the reason why this is so personal to me is my grandfather did the same in the 1970s but he didnt have allies like fox news and charlie kirk to defend him for what he was doing to the elites in the 1970s. That is why i am so honored, so happy to welcome charlie kirk today. We need his voice, cant wait to hear what he has to say and we are thrilled to have him at the nixon library. Thank you for coming. [applause] great to be here, thank you so much, thank you to the Leadership Team at the library. It is a long month this week. We crisscrossed the country a couple times, from new york to dc, vero beach, florida, back to florida for a couple stops yesterday, welcome in florida this morning and here we are. We have a country to save and we got to act like it. It has been amazing, thank you. I want to thank you for getting your copies of the book. It is still number one on amazon which is amazing. Very pleased by that, overwhelmed by the response by this book. I want to dive into what is important and what i think the media is missing about donald trump, why he is doing what he is doing. I run turning point usa, the largest conservative student organization, 2000 tasteless College Campuses across the country. Fighting thank you. Fighting for american exceptionalism, the constitution, it is not always easy, we play with a sense of urgency to what americas culture war. Our philosophy is the left has been winning for the last 40 years and we are going to go where conservatives have been losing the last couple decades, you see what we have been able to do on campuses and longterm that will be an important legacy at turning point usa when you see sizable change in the next generation. That is part of why i wrote this book would i have been so blown away by the success of the Trump Presidency and is important to recount those and focus on how he has been able to succeed but equally anxious because i dont want to see the republican putting her back to Big Government management, appeasement a energies, endless wars overseas, silly immigration policies and bowing down to china and i think donald trump has positively recalibrated the Republican Party for generations and it is important to learn from it so our generation continues the success of the Trump Administration for the better. First and foremost i wrote this book partly for that reason but most important we as i was watching cable news and reading newspapers and kept coming across these leftwing prognosticators and pundits telling me what donald trump believed. I said you hate him, you hate all of us and i am supposed to listen to you . Donald trump is doing this because he wants to enrich his businesses or has no guiding philosophy, and unguided missile shooting up tweets in the middle of the night and i have spent time with him and with the first family. I have seen what he has been able to deliver for our country. Why is no one articulating the doctrine of the Trump Presidency . You dont stumble accidentally into bread corsets, Circuit Court judges, the largest tax cut in American History, lowest black unemployment and latino unemployment, energy independence, soleimani dead, embassy moving to jerusalem, Golan Heights recognized a deal canceled, out of the paris climate record, we have put our enemies on defense because we produce our own shale and oil. Thats not an accident. Every president in both parties would have had a track record of success. When i was traveling the country talking too many people in this room a common question i would get is what have these people been doing the last 20 years . Look like this guy is running circles around the conventional wisdom. That is why i went out to write the book, who did you interview for this book . I did talk to the president but also i went to rally after rally, people who wait hundreds of hours for a chance to see the president of the United States speak for 30 minutes was i went to a kickoff rally in florida where people spend 200 hours through tsunami like conditions in minnesota where people waited outside in negative 10 degree weather. Im sure you appreciate this, that is not normal. There is no band. Its not bon jovi, there is no comedian, sometimes there is a comedian with the president but he is so much funnier than the latenight comedians ever will be. Ever noticed, seriously, that latenight comedy shows, applauding an audience for not laughing because they are not laughing. Is a political talkshow 11 00 at night. I asked myself what is it that drives these people to wait so long at these rallies, to take days off of work, to feel as if they are part of something and it hit me, goes back to something in the federalist papers, citizen government. For the first time in many decades people finally believe there is a vessel that listens to the man delivers for them. The irony of the whole thing, you wouldnt have been able to write this in a novel, took billionaire businessman who is supposed to be as disconnected as anyone from you to represent you in the kingdom of washington dc. When he came down the escalator he changed american politics for good because when you go to these rallies and talk to these people the consensus was i felt like i was losing my country, like both parties were participating in it, the Republican Party talked a good game and did nothing to fix it. I was so sick and tired of politics as usual. I wanted someone with a brooklyn brawl to blow it all up. That is kind of special and poetic. People say i dont like his tweets, i will address this one time and one time only and heres the best way i can address it. America was drowning in the middle of the ocean under the managed decline of both Political Parties of the last 20 years. Both parties contributed to this, Big Government management, adventurism abroad when the country is crumbling and in the middle of the night when we are gasping for air a rescue helicopter brings us to life and we are able to breathe again and the first thing you say to the person that rescues us is i dont like your tweet history. We are breathing again. It is irrelevant. Like the heart surgeon that finally, thank you for the triple bypass surgery, hate your tweets but glad we are breathing again not to mention i could make an argument the twitter feed said the cadence, a public northstar for every Single Person to understand what the president is trying to accomplish and keep people accountable because traditionally you hold a press conference, the media wont always cover it but now there is a realtime standard, realtime accountability measure for everyone to see what the president is thinking and doing. I think he is hilarious. I like a politician that is outside the Cocktail Party say one thing do another thing consensus in washington dc. I dont care if you vent a couple people, i like that he punches back twice as hard because i feel our politicians havent been fighting for our country for the last couple decades and have been perfectly okay with this managed decline. When i heard this time and again i said that is the thesis of the Trump Presidency. First and foremost when you go to the doctor use a give me the bad news first, tell me everything that is going on that is bad and donald trump in his announcement address was pretty brutal. He said we are losing, borders are wide open, trade deals are stupid, china is laughing at us, our economy is ony, obama care is a disaster, courts are compromised, the deep state is to ripped, this is in the first 30 seconds. It is the first honest assessment they received in a long time and that is the first part of his doctrine and philosophy. I will tell it to the american people. Im not going to sugarcoat it, tell you one thing when it is actually another. The second thing is what ideas are rooted in renewal of a nation and to understand the historical significance of what he is trying to do and getting opposition to do, to recess a tater country that was in managed decline and it was so improbable to do what he is doing, when you have a superpower, 47, 50, 55 million on food stamps it is hard to turn that around. The Founding Fathers warned us against this, one of the most amazing accomplishment of the Trump Presidency that never gets mentioned is 10 Million People are off of food stamps and donald trump got inaugurated. That is historic because for the first time in our countrys history, first time in modern american political history we were able to turn that around and that is something that was the demise of the roman empire and many other empires when people vote themselves donald trump convinced people in the electorate there is not dignity in voting more benefits for yourself. How about we create the greatest economy in American History, bring dignity back to forgotten america so he runs on this, the historical improbability is so amazing, you see what happens on the democrat side, you see this, make everyone kiss the ground and thank god donald trump was able to decide the odds the way he was because senator sanders will probably get screwed out of this thing because the establishment doesnt want him to be the nominee, for good reasons maybe. He is a redline advocate and Castro Simply and i hear he is a really nice guy but joe bidens political strategy is the most perplexing political strategy i have ever seen. Confuse your wife with your sister, dont know what state youre campaigning in, dont remember the name of barack obama or the declaration or the constitution, tell people not to vote for you and call them pony faced dog soldiers and finish fifth and sixth in the first couple contests, meander into topics no one cares about them have rallies that are only a couple dozen people and eventually you will be the last person standing. It will go down as one of the most puzzling political strategies in American History and a lot of it was because Michael Bloombergs failure is the worst politician in American History, he ran a board meeting, i dont know. Essentially bloomberg reset the race and biden, essentially the economic equivalent, political equivalent of a treasury bond, a flight to safety. What is the one thing i can put my money in, dont care if it has no return. For those of you, joe biden, got it. And so i actually make the argument, this is a minority opinion i would rather run against joe biden than bernie sanders. I would rather run against corrupt and confused than authentic and free stuff. I dont want to validate or elevate a marxist ideology to the highest level of american political party. I would rather run up against someone who is half socialist half not and completely and totally corrupt and the most corrupt Vice President in American History which was joe biden. I would rather have that matchup for our country and some people disagree but definitely with the target audience i deal with senator sanders has more appeal than joe biden. You see the establishment rot on the left and the fact that donald trump was able to defeat 16 republicans, beat the bush dynasty, beat the media complex in the attempt to destabilize him. I was a Governor Walker and senator cruise supporter and donald trump supporter, from the midwest, i had my understandable doubt this guy would deliver for the conservative agenda. As soon as he was the nominee wasnt a question. I spoke at the convention, traveled the country, put everything on the line and said there is no choice, this is over, not even a conversation but from the moment, i spent more time with donald trump junior and eric trump, deserve huge amounts of credit because it took a lot of courage to have that. You started to see the fact he won the primary was remarkable. The fact he won the general is even more incredible. I talk this will, the media ridicules me. I believe it truly was a godsend that donald trump got elected president , i really believe that. I really do. I believe that it was nothing short of divine intervention that came down and allowed america to have a Second Chance so he gets elected, he gets inaugurated in 17 minutes after he gets inaugurated they say the case for impeaching donald trump now begins. This is so important. I talk about it in the book. He is very easily could have hedged. He could have become a vanilla republican to try to get them off his back. The Mueller Investigation was a hoax. When they were probing mueller, it was a warning shot, they said stop it or we will come after you. Dont move the embassy, dont cancel the iran deal and we wont put your friends in prison and might not investigate your son for a couple years and if you think im exaggerating i am from chicago. I know the way chicago mob politics works, thats how they run washington dc and donald trump said wait a second. Im not going to be bullied into not doing what is best for the american people. Easily could have done what pastor a public and president s refused to do which was not move the embassy to jerusalem or recognize high torque not cut planned parenthood for do not do the tax cut and it all came to a very big head which is something i do chapter on this which is so important which was the Justice Cavanagh fight. Donald trump could have pulled the nomination. A lot of people would say i kind of get it. Instead he is the first president a lot of your times, first and Ronald Reagan who put the left on defense, pushed back against them when they are disoriented and we call this trump derangement syndrome. You saw that in the Brett Cavanagh fight which was one of the most important cultural moments since the need a hill, especially in the Supreme Court where you had fabricated accusations elevated to legitimacy by the media. A man that had a Sterling Record like the most boring person in the history of maryland, he literally had his journals from high school. His calendar to prove his innocence, it was unbelievable. They put him on. I dont even know, it is impressive, should have been a nomination 1000 vote that he still had his journals from high school and calendars. On june 18th, 1974, i was at carls house. Really amazing. It is impressive. You deserve to be on the Supreme Court for that and nothing else. [applause] and then the gallivanting leftist senator harris, senator coons, jeff flake who is part of the problem. I wrote the book in response to people like jeff flake. I names names in the book, not many but jeff flake was pathologically opposed to trump, voted for Brett Kavanaugh but gave him such a hard time, elevated the worst aspect of the american left of the highest level where you had that circus and absolute circus and donald trump did not waver an image. He understands what the left is trying to do because he has been fighting the left in different forms his entire life. Donald trump tried to build trump tower in new york city and came across corrupt democrats and bureaucrats and democrats, that is the left. When donald trump tried to build an ice skating rink that was delayed and delayed and delayed that was the left and he has a playbook for this. As if he was chosen for a time like this because hes one of the few people outside politics that has a track record of beating these tactics time and again. It takes a brooklyn street fighter to go after them. And so he wins the election, gets inaugurated and is something that confused everybody. He did what he said he was going to do. We are not used to that at all. In fact, a really bizarre thing where aids will come into his office, a decision is coming up whether or not we want to renew nafta. Really strange decisionmaking process, what i said i was going to do . That is what im going to do. We are not used to this because both parties have never operated like this. We are going to do one thing and do another. Renegotiating nafta, that is worthy of a parade. Us mca is one of the most amazing legislative trade competent and it is not talked about, putting china on defense and getting a really good trade deal. We will need a better trade deal if we can second term, to continue to put them on defense but it is as if the Washington Cartel was fine with china getting limitlessly rich at our expense and the only politician with the guts to call them out. You look at the judicial victories, that alone. Neil gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, 200 Circuit Court judges, that is it, also his indifference to care about what people before him did. A great example of this is the fight for life. The fight for the unborn. I really do. And look at donald trump and 20 years ago if you told me a guy who donated to planned parenthood, was on the cover of playboy magazine, was a prior democrat would be the most prolife president in American History i would have is what are you talking about yet every decision with an open mind and rationally and analytically looks at look at the evidence before me and his story how he became prolife is very moving. He knew a woman that was contemplating abortion, she decided not to have an abortion, saw this kid rise into a total superstar. For him, that person would not exist if not for that abortion. What does he do . The first president in American History to speak at the march for life. That is amazing. Not the first. [applause] im not here to bush bash but they did not speak at the march for life. They didnt. They did not cut planned parenthood funding. It went up steadily. That this guy that is not supposed to be the socially conservative individual with justices and again we have questionable justices on the Supreme Court. Donald trump did this bizarre thing. Im going to tell you the list of people im going to nominate and he actually picked from that list and a lot of people voted for him based on that list because that is the third branch of government. Foreignpolicy which i love, there is a bigotry of binary choices that happens in washington dc and i hope everyone in this room learns from this and applies it to your own life no matter what the situation is. Option a, we are going to be triggerhappy and invade a lot of Different Countries in the middle east and nation build and impose our values throughout the region. Sounded good when we had a balanced budget and bring liberty to the middle east. We will not in libya into louisiana anytime soon. We will send our most prized possessions into this region. And hundreds of billions of dollars to democratize the region. Donald trump appended that immediately and said i dont like it, the neoconservative Foreign Policy doctrine. The second is the opposite it is that. Send them billions of dollars cash in the middle of the night, validate them and send them well wishes onward towards a nuclear weapon. That is the other side of the extreme. That is silly because heres what we are going to do. Targeted, tactical and agile strikes, with disproportionate deterrent response. And war industry in afghanistan, when we had ptsd issues, veteran suicide issues. We have assimilation issues in society. Not try to democratize an entire region, to put them in a multidecade conflict with no end insight when victories not well defined. Donald trump says i am going to end these endless wars but if soleimani continues to go after american citizens im going to take you out with drone strikes him as your american citizens died going after soleimani. How baghdadi dead. And liberated generals on the ground. Isis was on the rise when Donald Trump Took Office in the district devices, one of the most amazing accomplishments and he did it with minimal loss of American Life but liberating the generals to go after americas enemies on the road which is incredible. Ending the war in afghanistan, we will see how that brokers out but we all agree 20 years fatigues the american spirit to be endlessly occupying a country that does not want western values, not accepting western values, and we spent 5 billion a year for the Afghan Security forces and have hundreds of thousands of kids in the other cities that cant read our priorities are backwards, donald trump recognizes that and wants to reset our priorities. I will summarize and get some questions. I wrote this with a sense of urgency because i dont know if donald trump will get reelected but i think he should win in a landslide based on successes but one thing i want all of you to dismiss from your vocabulary, i say this is tough love. Hes not going to win in a landslide. It is not going to be easy. I hear this everywhere i go. Some people in this room. It is closer than you think. I have been to 44 states in the last year. I talk to a lot of people on the ground. There is a Misinformation Campaign against this president. There is a lot of work left to do. I go to party after party where people think it is in the bag and they are planning the transition of a second term. I say okay, president hillary clinton, president mitt romney, humble yourself and lets get to work because this thing is not over. I hear this a lot. There is no way. There is a way. If google wants him to lose he is going to lose. Voter fraud, what goes on in the state alone could be the blueprint for the rest of the country and by the way they are sending the mischief in orange county, they are teaching them in milwaukee how to do the same in the battleground states, ballot harvesting, vote by mail not to mention what the media will be against him, not to mention i really believe the democrats are going to try to encourage and coach bad economic climate so they can defeat donald trump. Bill maher said he is hoping for a recession. I know he should win. He should win in a 1972 Richard Nixon style landslide, 1984 Ronald Reagan style landslide. He should. It is not going to happen. Whether he is going to elect really in a majority way i dont know. That remains to be seen. They will not be taken by surprise. Bloomberg is going to spend whatever he is going to spend, Tech Companies will do what they are going to do. I want to see in animated and engaged in worried conservative base, not are confident conservative base. You can be quietly certain of what trump has done but you should be worried because they are working their tails off. I see it every day and that is the sense of urgency i want all of you to leave with because the year from today he could not be president. I want you to realize that. It is conceivable. I give it a 5050 split right now. It is a coin flip. You could be here gathering and it could be president joe biden. I see a lot of people laughing but it could happen. That is why we need to operate with a sense of urgency. And honored to be here, thank you so much. [applause] thank you, charlie. We have time for a couple questions. Our first one will come from one of our cadets, thank you for your presentation. [applause] what is your question. Good afternoon. My name is ashley. Im a highschooler from high school. As highschoolers we dont have a lot of exposure or experience in politics. How do you suggest that we can maintain educated and more involved in modern politics . Thank you for the question and if you do pursue a career in the service you deserve to be commended so thank you for being here today. It is true and high school there is not, its not always taught the way we might want it to be taught but i would pursue just, i would encourage you to take five minutes a a day to ty to carve out politics whether reading the news, make sure you read the right form of news. Thats all ill say with that. Just be curious, the openminded and passion. Your patriotism should inform your politics. Never forget that. So thank you for being here today. We deeply appreciate it. [applause] one question i have and a lot of people probably went to college when i did. Anyway, on College Campuses used to have debate. What are you saying right now on College Campuses . This is my day job, right . I wrote this book as as a singe project but what i really do is have a machine at turning point usa, 160 fulltime staff, about 2000 High School College in campuses across country working very hard. I think im the only conservative to speak at uc berkeley come , stanford and usy one semester and lived live tol about it. [applause] i spoke all across the country. To be perfectly honest the greatest threat is whats happening on College Campuses. We as conservatives need to recognize that and its less about four more about rebellion to be perfectly honest with you. These are multibilliondollar cartels that dont care about the students that are going through the halls that are not interested in teaching students core american values. A couple thoughts on this. For high schoolers, just ask yourself the question why am i going to school, not where am i going to school. You do not need to go to a Fouryear College to succeed. We need more plumbers, electricians, hvac, welders, please fire leaves, firefighters and far less people that go to the elite schools all across the country that prognosticate and tell us about how horrible and awful americans. Theres a massive multibilliondollar window for people that are specifically trained in the skills for americanbased trained a labor and that deficit needs to be filled i high schoolers. Parents are too often pushed the kids into college. Im going to give you so hard truth. Unfortunately more times than not about the parents ego, not the kids future. If youre as a parent are not prepared to look at your friends, Family Member or your neighbor and look at them in ee and say i kid is not going to college and a perfectly okay with it, hence more about your ego than your kids future. I said that with love and with compassion for your kids future because uca and univision Southern California and mission scandal. Admission skeleton in what world is it okay to fabricate . It was apparent during the period not oneoff things. Were talking Million Dollars industry where parents were fabricating records into immoral and illegal thinks it gets go to usc. So what if your kids go to usc . I dont mean this as a way to insult anyone this might have but exceed his parents would send my kids and honorable student. I would be if my parents had a sticker. How about my kid is a good person . It doesnt present with me. This hyper fixation on who can find academic ladder the quickest. Its important if you want to do certain things and help Everyone Wants to go to the highest level but i can much more about your character and work ethic than what degree you got from some coastal institution. [applause] i just want to thank you for being here at if you like your and ambassador for common sense and probably biblical prophecy, too. Congratulations on your book. My question is, as a Small Businessman, i think one of the biggest shams we face especially in california is this all these great ideas but they come with a cost, and that cost to businesses and to the general public, actually its probably considered and morally concealed, right . Speak a little bit about that and what it does to the economy and business men. Thank you for answering. Entrepreneurs and Small Business people are the backbone of the american economy. We should be pro family business, proentrepreneur. California is a perfect test case at how to do for the entrepreneur. Its protecting the corporate status quo but its not empowering the little guy. You will see tons of people go to sacramento or washington, d. C. Saying we need more regulation for all the sorts of reasons. Big business is a rounding error. They can afford more lawyers and lobbyists and regulatory compliance. Its a small guy with eight employees that puts them out of business. It protects the encompass more than anything else. What i think President Trump has done so what is weve seen a rapid increase in Small Business startups across the country which is phenomenal. Thats bottomup enterprise model of something that we need to get back to an occurrence, not just the protection of the corporate status quo. Additionally, look, theres a huge problem because Small Business people cant find qualified labor that they need. Part of it is training but part of it is, i talk to Small Business people all the time and they say look, there are people who want to come work for me but they dont have the skills because they got a degree in something, essential they borrowed money they dont have just had fix it dont matter to find jobs that dont exist. Theres huge market out there right now at odonnell what industry youre in particular but theres huge market right now for applicable jobs. One of the big Success Stories of a Trump Presidency was dismissed andy slavitt manufacture was always going to be dead. President trump empirically there was a multibilliondollar manufacturing opening in our country and he filled it and he filled it really well. In fact, we send huge increase in manufacturing dropped since President Trump took office. The final point is this, which is, i go back to the college argument and i encourage everyone in this room to take this to heart, which is we asa country treat people that go to college far more intelligent and why some people who didnt go to college. The media propaganda, notice how they do it, through public approval. Notice on tv where they say Approval Rating of the present for College Educated people is this an nonCollege Educated people is this pick what i do really saying . Heres what the smart people think and heres what the dumb people think. If you give me one of people who didnt go to college or did go to college, my experience would be if you didnt go to college are far more wise and humble and hardworking than people that actually did go to college. Im not at the college, i just antithe system. If you want to be a doctor it is for you. Call it should be about career preparation not about ideological exploration but if you send your kid to college you going to play russian roulette with their values and they may come back somewhat completely and totally unrecognizable. Our next question. Thank you for being here. I had the great pleasure of meeting anthony of the Republican National assembly of california and it was amazing to hear his story. I know hes been traveling the states working to gain the latino vote and confidence in the Republican Party and i think hes doing a great job and he needs us all to support him. Also the africanamerican vote so im wondering what you see on the campuses, and im the proud motherinlaw avenue like to climate up in sacramento, so thats exciting. He is in the skilled trades. Want to put a plugin for those things because its amazing. Thank you. The question is whether using the campuses and how we can get the vote and the confidence and how thats been going. A couple thoughts on this and its important. Virginia was a deep red state until they allowed outofcontrol immigration policy into their state. Thats a big problem. I will say california, youve seen it turning the wrong direction the last 20 or 30 years. I do think the latino vote can be one specifically over the life issue in particular. A very prolife community and they been propagandized by the left and by the democrats. Which is really unfortunate. Also i see something will have pudding with the community. At turning point usa we really believe theres an ideological revolution happening in our country but we need to engage. I talked about this earlier. President trump should be a champion for School Choice. School choice of one of the most important issues in the entire country. Five words that could get President Trump reelected in School Choice for black kids. I really believe that the i think School Choice is a massive issue. Charter, allowing parents to choose better options. The black community has been so horribly treated by the Democrat Party over the last many decades. Decades. Portably treated. Especially since Lyndon Baines johnson. Telling this story and encouraging those formal policies, talk about this in the book. President trump accomplished the lowest ever black poverty rate, the lowest ever like unemployment rate, criminal justice reform. Millions of people all food stamps many of whom are in the black community. He did far more for the black unity than president obama did, for more. He gets very little to no credit from the media. Its about reaching out, showing up and i think i think theres something changing where conservative republicans are more open to it than ever before but again thats part of what the maga doctrine is which is bringing dignity back to forgotten america, that there are parts of a country that were cast aside by the ruling class elites and President Trump has been a phenomenal job of turning that around. Im cautiously optimistic that we can make some big games but its going to have to be generational. Im telling you especially in the black community, republicans really competed, if republicans without the black church we could see huge, huge gains in those communities. Thanks so much for being here. Could you reassure us all and let us know that your political aspirations . Very kind of you. No, i i love what i do at turning point usa. Look, i have the opportunity spent time with people that are always ready for collection or something and i was going around, and thats great for a lot of people. I love to empower people to do that and help them run for office and all that but ill tell you i get so much fulfillment with what were doing a turning point usa i could tell you that. We had seen the dial and so much and people say charlie, youve got to run for congress, youve got to run for no, thats not in the cards for me. And i think the culture war and a culture battle is far more important than that. We see a great opportunity happening in our country were seen a lot of people rising up and allergic candidates that are lots of support a given but im perfectly happy exactly where i am. I just want to introduce myself first before my question. Because if you listen to beat it they will tell you that people like myself dont exist. I got a mean i am a christian and conservative College Professor at uci. [applause] and my question for you common issue im really passionate about his transfigured how to prevent school shootings. I want to make our schools have become curious if you have any suggestions on that. I have own ideas and i would love to talk to you about the but im curious about your ideas. The whole discussion comes down to if you were a School Shooter would you go to school but it armed guards or didnt have armed guards. Its that simple. This whole argument we should arm are most prized possession in the entire country, regardless sporting events, banks, airports with armed guards and with machine guns, yet we dont protect our kids that way. Its silly and backwards to be. Its a much deeper cultural issue than that though. If you look at parkland shooting, there was a misdiagnosis and complete failure at the fbi. Look, the agenda to take our guns away and we cant let that happen, do a thing we can to prevent the left from coming after our constitutional liberties but also i think we have an over medication problem with her kids in our schools. I think the pharmaceutical companies a way to much power in a country. We are pill pushing her kids and other medicating our kids and discuss all sorts of different problems, and we talking about chemically addictive substances that are really playing games to a lot of these kids. Be very careful what, just give you an example. If i would be in school today they would have me so drugged up because seriously. Make sure, they tried to give me everything because im a little bit type a and was always pushing the boundaries. No, my parents to degree credit always pushed against it, hes fine, hes fine, but he worry about how many people that could really change our country are now being fed these cocktail of drugs under these, he is restless. The eight years old. What you expect . Seriously. I do think theyre correlated to school shootings, i really do believe it. I get a lot of crap, garbage that but i dont really care. But its true. I also its a family issue, we have destroyed the Nuclear Family in a country and with rebuild the american family, we really do. [applause] charlie, id like to wrap it up with a q a. We get quite a few others that come through here and the cover of your book is one thats interesting to me. Could you give us background . Ill be happy to and then also if you guys want to get aln Christmas Shopping done, your timeslips cuts off tonight, not last that such want to go to amazon and get all your Christmas Shopping done and helpless with the new timeslips it would be greatly appreciated. A couple think before he mentioned that. I want to thank stacy who else is out at turning point usa, my girlfriend erica who always trials the catch with me, incredible. And all the people that support turning point, rick, terrific, thank you, guys. I love that come socialism kills. Do something about it. I picked the cover of this book for a reason to couple who image of the present that a think best summed up his doctrine and he treats our country as if a child can something you care so much about that is willing to sacrifice everything for you. I was there when he did this last year at cpac. I thought it embodies so well wary comes out and hugs the flag. Thats the kind of protective instinct he has for our country, that every decision he makes his around trying to say i care about this, im willing to sacrifice for this, im going to put all online for this. They say picture speaks a thousand words and i think it does in that and i think the book articulates that also pretty well. Ladies and gentlemen, charlie kirk. Thank you, guys so much.
