CTUSAB backs labour ministry on safety legislation

Social Share
The Congress of Trade Unions and Staff Associations of Barbados (CTUSAB), is standing in solidarity with Minister of Labour Colin Jordan who recently put employers on notice that health and safety committees would be implemented in the workplace.
President of CTUSAB, Edwin O’Neal, during a media conference at the Barbados Union of Teachers’ Merry Hill, Welches, St Michael earlier today, said they had been in discussions with the private sector and Government to have a programme implemented at every institution and organisation on island.
He noted the programme, which is set to be launched soon, would see those in the workplace trained in health and safety.
