Print WBAL-TV 11 Thursday marked the first day when Maryland could make appointments for COVID-19 vaccines at 18 CVS Pharmacy locations across the state. The first shots will be administered Friday in what CVS representatives said is part of an initial 11-state rollout. All of Friday's appointments were booked just as soon as appointments were made available. The effort, so far, is a limited rollout for CVS. As more vaccine becomes available, CVS hopes to administer millions of shots a month nationwide. Dr. Alexandra Ashworth, a CVS Pharmacy manager in the greater Baltimore area, told 11 News everything is in place to start giving out COVID-19 shots at select Maryland locations.
