Dalmoak House conversion plans should be approved, say officers | Dumbarton and Vale of Leven Reporter

PLANS to transform a historic country house near Dumbarton have been recommended for approval, despite concerns over noise.
Earlier this year, Lords Capital Scotland Ltd sought planning permission from West Dunbartonshire Council (WDC) to turn the 17-bedroom Dalmoak House in Renton into a venue for events, functions and holiday lets.
If permission for the change of use is granted, only single holiday bookings for the entire house will be taken.
Now the plans have been recommended for approval ahead of a meeting of WDC’s planning committee, being held tomorrow.
A council report prepared for the meeting states: “The proposals involve the use of Dalmoak House as a single holiday let, which is considered to be a suitable and acceptable use for this Category A listed building.
