(Fargo, ND) -- Fargo Public Schools have announced that Daniel Shultis will take over as the assistant principal and activities coordinator of North High School beginning on July 1st. He will assume the position from Travis Christensen, who will become the principal of North High School on the same day when current Principal Andrew Dahlen retires. Shultis has been the assistant principal and activities coordinator for Discovery Middle School since 2016 and has served as a Virtual Academy administrator during the 2020-21 school year. He served as the dean of students for the Fargo Public Schools Summer School program from 2015 to 2016. From 2002 to 2016, Shultis was a physical education teacher and sports coach at North High. His coaching career includes being the North football assistant coach, the North head boys basketball coach, and the Ben Franklin Middle School golf coach. While at North, he served on the school’s Site Based Leadership Team, was the School Improvement co-chair, and was the North Physical Education Department chair. Shultis is currently involved in several District leadership positions including his roles as a Title IX Process lead, School Attendance Review Board member, Metro Tournament Committee member, Building Compassionate Schools member, District Safety Committee member, and more.
