Options being considered range from bus network upgrades to a quality busy corridor to bus rapid transit, trackless trams and light rail. Consultation will begin on April 28 on Sunshine Coast Council's mass transit plans. Pictured right is Mayor Mark Jamieson. The process will cost council $330,000 and is being run by Amanda Newberry's Brisbane firm Articulous. The company is described as Australia's "most groundbreaking" engagement and communication consultancy. Further community engagement on the plans was ordered in August last year after groups called for the council to be upfront about its plans for population densities and development along the proposed light rail corridor.
