These are allegations which he vehemently denies and, following a criminal trial, Mr Salmond was acquitted of all charges. The complaints were made after Ms Sturgeon asked for new Government policies on sexual harassment to be implemented after the #MeToo movement, and Mr Salmond believed the policy was aimed at hime, with his supporters claiming Ms Sturgeon has misled Parliament into the Government inquiry into these allegations, reports the BBC.
