LONDONDERRY â Itâs difficult to imagine a rendition of âFire on the Mountainâ not creating a big moment at a festival where bands will be playing songs by and inspired by Grateful Dead on the hill of a local ski resort. Joe Levy, owner of Whirlygig Music, organized the Dead of Summer Music Festival Two around bands who play from the Dead catalog or songs the Dead covered. He wanted not only different performers from the initial festival but bands with different styles of interpreting the music. The festival first occurred at One More Time in West Dover in 2019. Levy said he tried to make that happen again this year but the timing wasnât good.
