The 23-year old defenseman, who the Detroit Red Wings drafted with the 20th overall pick of the 2016 NHL draft, was reassigned to Grand Rapids on Monday. So to recap, Cholowski started the season on Detroit’s taxi squad, was reassigned to Grand Rapids Feb. 1, recalled to Detroit March 19 before heading back to the Griffins this week. Cholowski told the media during a Wednesday Zoom call in Grand Rapids that he’s just rolling with the punches.
