Delaware County GOP no longer helping Josh Mandel fundraise Seth A. Richardson, cleveland.com CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Delaware County Republican Party is no longer helping GOP former Treasurer Josh Mandel’s Senate campaign, according to a Federal Election Commission filing. Unlike other candidates in the race, Mandel is using what is called a joint fundraising committee to collect campaign donations. The joint fundraising committee – or JFC – included an agreement – known as a joint fundraising agreement, or JFA – between Mandel’s campaign, Mandel’s political action committee and the Delaware County GOP. Normally, JFCs are used during general elections to simplify fundraising. Candidates get the first dollars that go into the JFC up to the $2,900-per-contributor federal limit for candidates. According to Mandel’s agreement, the Delaware County Republican Party got anything above that – up to their federal limits – with the remainder going to his leadership PAC, JoshPAC.
