(Bill Ingalls/NASA viaGetty Images) WASHINGTON, DC— If you've been longing since spring for meteor showers, you're about to be rewarded as the rambling Delta Aquariid meteor shower gets underway Monday, July 12. The peak isn't for a couple of weeks, but don't be surprised if you see a few shooting stars over Virginia and Washington, D.C., before that. Unfortunately, Monday's forecast is calling for clouds and showers before midnight, but there could be viewing into the weekend with the forecast calling for partly cloudy to mostly cloudy skies.
