Apr 9, 2021 (Columbia, SC) -- Dozens of Democratic state lawmakers are working to censure Republican Representative Victor Dabney. This comes after Dabney posted controversial statements on social media about the hate crimes bill that passed the South Carolina House this week. Over 30 Democrats are sponsoring the bill to censure their colleague. Bill sponsor Representative Wendell Gilliard says the legislation would send a message that they're working to protect citizens.
