Six dengue patients, including two children, were admitted to the Coimbatore Medical College Hospital, dean in-charge Dr P Kalidas said. Most cases are reported from the corporation limit, from densely populated parts including Peelamedu, Singanallur, Nanjundapuram, Rathinapuri and Ganapathy. “We are seeing isolated cases from the east zone and north zone, but no clusters yet,” city health officer Dr A Raja said. “Whenever we see a case, we immediately check for fever cases in the neighbourhood, take up peridomestic anti-breeding activities like cleaning of stagnant drains and using bleaching powder,” he said.
