Washington State Department of Corrections TUMWATER, Wash. — The Washington State Department of Corrections is resuming in-person visitation starting Mother’s Day, May 9. This is the first time visitation has been allowed since March 2020, and the DOC says an increase in vaccinations has allowed them to resume these sessions. People looking to see a friend or family member need to apply online to schedule a visit. On arrival, visitors must pass an in-person COVID screening and temperature checks before being let in. DOC says sessions will happen once a month for one hour, giving as many inmates as possible time to visit.
