The Des Moines Public Library is celebrating Día del Niño with una celebración grande!
Día del Niño is a traditional holiday in Mexico that celebrates the excitement of childhood and the joys of reading and learning. Traditionally, classes are canceled and kids play games, share food, and break piñatas as part of the day’s festivities.
The library has joined several community partners to host a special outdoor event this year in the spirit of Día del Niño. Join us at on Friday, April 30, from 4-6 p.m. at Birdland Park, 2100 Saylor Road, Des Moines. Here's what you can do at our event:
