Desko: 'My Decision to Reinstate Him,' Scanlan Won't Travel

Syracuse coach John Desko said that Chase Scanlan won’t travel with the team for its game against Notre Dame on Saturday, and that it was his decision to reinstate the sophomore attack from his indefinite suspension.
In his first media appearance since the reinstatement on Monday, Desko opened with a 105-word prepared statement that said Scanlan was suspended for “violating team rules and expectations.”
He then said he wouldn’t comment further, and declined to comment on 10 follow-up questions related to Scanlan — including whether the team was informed before the reinstatement, whether players threatened to not suit up and travel to South Bend, and whether Desko and the rest of the Syracuse staff has undergone domestic violence training.
