arizona's controversial new immigration law is growing. some opponents are not waiting to hear from the white house or the justice department before they take action. the mayor of phoenix, phil gordon, is vowing to sue in order to stop the law. he joins me now. mr. mayor, good to see you. thanks for taking the time tonight. >> thank you for covering this. >> so you were hoping to get the support of your city council to muster a joint filing here. looks like you couldn't do that. are you going to go ahead and file the lawsuit? >> i am. i became an attorney under the charter. i have that authority. i'm also working under a number of cities, including flagstaff and a few other cities to join in the suit. and lastly, i'm confident that the justice department and homeland security will be involved also. our goal is to enjoy the lawsuit so it doesn't go into effect in 90 days. in one area i've started to look at is actually an initiative where we'll get some signatures,
