back to the south side of the egyptian museum and there is a large anti-mubarak crowd which is there, but it is nowhere near as large from my vantage point as the pro-mubarak side. it has grown tremendously over the last half hour. there is still a no-man's-land between them. it looks like perhaps soldiers have tried to keep the crowd from pushing any further. this is all happening right in front of the egyptian museum. i should also tell you that the soldiers have been guarding the egyptian museum now for at least seven of the last nine days, so there are egyptian soldiers all along the museum, the front of the museum, and also soldiers watching from the roof of the museum. how heavily armed they are, and if they would or could do anything isn't clear. they haven't at this point. there is a new no-man's-land that seeps to be holding but for how long, we can't tell,.
