were being used as human shields. we were in and we were out, there were other civilians coming and going from that site. so i'm, frankly, disappointed as well. we shouldn't even be having that discussion, anderson. >> that compound that was struck, was there a military reason to strike it other than it's gadhafi's compound? the u.s. is saying they're not targeting gadhafi? so is there a command and control structure there that we know about? >> well, we know very little beyond what's in there. gadhafi meets vip's in, he met last week with the russian ambassador, the chinese ambassador, and they waited in this building that was targeted. it is a vip protocol building, a couple journalists who were there last night as well, said they waited there last week to see gadhafi. that's what we understood the building was used for.
