plan, republicans are now showing anxiety after the grim assessment of the bill by the congressional budget office. let's begin with our senior congressional reporter manu raju. he is up on capitol hill. manu, what's the mood up there? >> reporter: well, wolf, tonight the tension is rising as moderates and conservatives are balking at that house republican plan. now, this comes as house and senate republican leaders are still pushing very hard for the plan saying that that nonpartisan and now over to the health care bill does not fully account for the full scope of the republican health care plans. but the question tonight, wolf, is can that convince skeptical republicans. >> the american health care act. >> reporter: the republican promised to repeal obamacare. now at risk of collapsing. the party had already been badly divided over the house gop leadership's plan to replace the law. and now new alarm after the nonpartisan congressional budget office offered a brutal assessment of the republican legislation.
