A rural Nebraska health district said one of its medical workers had a "significant medical event" one week after getting the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine.
Four Corners Health District said the person is in their late 40's. It is unclear if the person had any other health condition.Sign up for our Newsletters
The state of Nebraska is required to report the case to the CDC for review.
Nebraska's chief medical officer remains confident the vaccine is safe, but they'll keep monitoring these types of situations.
Dr. Gary Anthone said underlying issues are usually factors in cases like this.
