DiPalma assists in creation of $10 million program that will benefit developmentally disabled

PROVIDENCE — The state agreed this week to dedicate $10 million in CARES Act money to help carry providers for the intellectually and developmentally disabled community through the next half of 2021, and, hopefully, the end of the pandemic. 
“The fiscal health of 30 [developmental disability] providers is of grave concern. It’s alarming,” said Sen. Louis P. DiPalma, D-Middletown, who participated in discussions about how to keep the financially-strapped providers afloat.
