Discover Central Massachusetts' Executive Director Monique Messier said cultural institutions, hotels and restaurants were among the hardest hit in the last 15 months. The current reopening timeline is just three weeks before the first official day of summer. Messier said it's the perfect time to get tourists back into the region and rebuild the local economy, but she said she does expect a bit of hesitancy when it comes to starting the 'new normal.'
