Utah House, Senate both approve of 'Dixie' name change bill

With far less debate and opposition than heard in previous meetings, legislation approving Dixie State University's name change process passed 26 to three in the Utah Senate on Wednesday morning.

Only Sens. Wayne A. Harper, John D. Johnson and Michael S. Kennedy voted in opposition.
The bill, HB 278 substitute one, then passed back to the House of Representatives for consideration of the bill's changes.
