Dogs Trust issue advice for New Year fireworks displays | Braintree and Witham Times

AN animal charity is issuing their top tips to dog owners to help their furry friends cope with fireworks this week.
Dogs Trust is giving out the advice since, even though most New Year’s Eve public displays are cancelled, there may still be private displays in the neighbourhood.
They are asking owners to take preventative measures to prepare their dogs to help them keep as stress-free as possible.
Jenna Kiddie, Head of Canine Behaviour at Dogs Trust, said: “Dogs have approximately four times more sensitive hearing than humans, so the loud cracks and bangs of fireworks can often be a terrifying experience for them.
