In cross examination, Lipka referenced a transcript of an interview between Suhr and CBI, in which CBI agents read her Miranda Rights and told her there was essentially two lists in this case – a witness list and suspect list — and it was up to her which one she would end up on. Lucas’ attorney implied CBI agents were threatening Suhr with prosecution, but she said several times that, although the interview was nerve-wracking, she did not perceive their statements as threats and did not feel threatened. She testified that she corresponded with Lucas for about a year from the time she first contacted him on Facebook to the time she ceased communication.
