As more snow and ice fell across the region overnight, driving conditions deteriorated even more. Part of I-20 in the Ark-La-Tex is now closed. The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has shut down I-20 eastbound from the Industrial Drive exit to the Goodwill Road exit in Bossier Parish and I-20 eastbound in Webster Parishes is also closed due to winter weather and freezing conditions. There is no estimated time of getting the interstate back open. DOTD will send out information when it is back open to traffic. DOTD Secretary Dr. Shawn Wilson is urging motorists to avoid ALL unnecessary travel. He says the conditions are very poor and you could be putting yourself in jeopardy.
