Dover library earns designation as a safe place Fosters Daily Democrat DOVER — The Dover Public Library was designated a safe, judgment-free place by the Dover Mental Health Alliance and a Recovery Friendly Workplace by Gov. Chris Sununu, becoming the first organization in the City of Dover and the state to have both designations. Representatives from both organizations recognized the library at a small ceremony on Friday, Feb. 26. The "safe, judgment-free place" designation is available to any business, organization, or institution that strives to support its employees, colleagues, and customers’ mental health. A Recovery Friendly Workplace is the New Hampshire governor’s initiative to encourage a healthy and safe environment where employers, employees, and communities can collaborate to create positive change, eliminate barriers, and remove stigma for those impacted by substance use disorder and behavioral health challenges.
