However, according to several reports coming out today, Brees went through A LOT to attempt to reach the Super Bowl one more time before he retired. WWL in New Orleans is reporting that on top of the broken ribs and collapsed lung, Brees played through several other major injuries that would generally end a quarterback's season. WWL says that Brees was also suffering from a torn rotator cuff and torn fascia in his foot. The station is citing his wife Brittany's Instagram as a source for the information, however her account is set to private.
