Dudley Council House. A REGENERATION programme that is expected to see £1bn invested in the Dudley borough is to be scrutinised by councillors next week. Numerous large projects are currently underway in Dudley town centre including work to create a new leisure centre, the expansion of the Metro line between Brierley Hill and Wednesbury to run through the town, installation of the Very Light Rail National Innovation Centre, construction of The Black Country and Marches Institute of Technology and improvements at the Black Country Living Museum. The council is also submitting a £25m bid to the Government under the Towns Fund Bid for a University Park in Dudley and a £10m investment is on the way for Brierley Hill following a successful Future High Streets Fund bid.
