Dunbar mum Alex Davey's fears for her son if he catches coronavirus

A CONCERNED mum, whose son has a range of health conditions, hopes families like hers will be given priority when it comes to being vaccinated against coronavirus.
Alex Davey is among the parents joining charity Kindred in writing to the Scottish Government outlining the fear that catching the virus would leave them unable to look after their vulnerable children.
She fears her son, who attends Sanderson’s Wynd Primary School in Tranent, could be taken into a hospital or hospice if she or her husband are diagnosed with Covid-19.
Alex said: “Benjamin has microlissencephaly, which means his brain did not develop properly in the womb. He has quadriplegic cerebral palsy, epilepsy, he is visually impaired and he is fed through a tube.
