Dworshak Reservoir begins to refill for the spring

The Army Corps of Engineers announced Wednesday that it has decreased discharges to minimum releases of 1,600 cubic feet per second for the spring.
Discharges are expected to remain at 1,600 cubic feet per second through the end of April and into the first week of May.
The natural flows will continue to support out-migrating fish. Dworshak will continue to adjust reservoir releases to meet flood control targets and manage the rate of refill.
For safety, the public is advised to be aware of the danger associated with fluctuating river flows and elevations.
Current Dworshak water-management conditions can be viewed on the Walla Walla District website.
