by Mike Usinger on December 16th, 2020 at 2:42 PM 1 of 2 2 of 2 One of Vancouver’s most-loved restaurants has reopened its doors after a move two years in the making. The Red Wagon is back in a new location at 2128 East Hastings, two blocks west of its former digs. Long-time fans who’ve missed standing in the ubiquitous line can expect familiar favourites like Crispy Pork Belly, Chilaquiles, and Frittata for breakfast. And the Pulled Pork Sandwich and Reuben with house-brined beef for all-day lunch. The menu won’t stop there, however. Owner Brad Miller may have closed down the Red Wagon's more upscale sister operation Bistro Wagon Rouge in the fall of 2019, but it’s obvious he didn't forget the spot. Select items from the shuttered French-style restaurant will be found on the menu of the new Red Wagon. Show up this week and you can dive into everything from standards like the Bistro Burger to Chicken Liver Pâté Banh Mi and Lois Lake Steelhead Noisette.
