“So, this is the first real event we’ve done except for maybe the family unit for Christmas,” said Luci Hartmann. Normally on Easter weekend, this family said it would gather at its Staten Island, New York home. However, things still aren’t normal. Instead, they traveled to Hamden to spend part of the holiday weekend with their daughter Sam, a Quinnipiac University student who is following school recommendations. “A lot of what the school is recommending is just staying in a close family unit. Staying as safe as possible so that we can finish this semester,” said Sam Hartmann.
