Paula Vogler Correspondent EASTON - Thanks to the Massachusetts Association of Arborists (MAA), visitors to the Governor Ames Estate in North Easton village will notice a big difference in the grounds. More than 150 arborists donated their time, machinery and knowledge to prune, plant and clean up the property and its many trees. From fertilizing, planting new trees and digging out invasive species to chipping and cutting up downed trees and clearing dead branches, the daylong event attracted landscape companies from around the state to help. “Their focus is tree preservation and to call attention to proper tree care,” said Virginia Wood, executive director of the MAA.
