Edible community gardens added to canal path

TWO edible community gardens have been made on the Canal Path.
South Swindon Parish Council has been working with Jess Hallsall and other central Swindon residents to establish two edible community gardens along the canal path between Cambria Bridge and Kingshill Road.
The chair of South Swindon Parish Council’s Environment Working Party, Cllr Linda Kasmaty, has written a blog about the journey the parish council and residents went through to establish these community garden plots.
Linda said: “It’s absolutely wonderful we have been able to work with residents to do these community projects. They are transformative and adults and children who have seen this work happen are now coming forward asking if they can get involved.”
