Editorial: Only a change of heart can save maternity unit :

Can the state’s determination of an essential service and a host of protesting legislators, nurses and everyday citizens get the UMass Memorial Health system to blink? That appears to be the only path for the survival of Leominster Hospital’s maternity unit, which is scheduled for closure in September.
