Former Bafana Bafana international Edward Motale says the appointment of Belgian coach Hugo Broos is just a 'wasteful exercise'.
Broos was unveiled to the media this week, but will miss Bafana's upcoming friendlies in June as he is set to return to Belgium to get his second shot of the Covid-19 vaccine.
Motale is feeling let down by the association's statement about not qualifying for the 2022 World Cup that is scheduled to take place in Qatar.
"Then for me it's a wasteful exercise." Magents tells
KickOff.com.
"We could have just taken anybody here at home and made him a Bafana coach. The way they praise his CV saying he's an expert, is a what - what, he has won what...so let him show us. So if we hire somebody with 'Either/Or', then it's a wasteful exercise. Then they can even hire me and choose my assistant and go to coach Bafana Bafana.
