Egan Hotel in Downtown Crowley receives state grant for restoration KATC News and last updated 2021-01-14 16:37:32-05 CROWLEY, La. â Crowley Main Street announced Friday that the Egan Hotel in Downtown Crowley has been awarded a $55,000 National Park Service grant by the Louisiana Office of Cultural Development for its restoration project. According to Crowley Main Street, the Egan Hotel was built in 1912 and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982 as a contributing resource to the Crowley Historic District. The period of significance to the Downtown Crowley Commercial Historic District was from 1887 to post-1931. Crowley Main Street says the grant will provide for the restoration of 66 double-hung windows of the second and third story. The building is located at 306 North Parkerson Ave., in Crowley.
